Kritisk mediekompetens i praktiken : En kvalitativ studie av åtta medielärares ämneskonstruktion utifrån begreppen protect, promote och empower
This paper describes how teachers of media view and construct their subjects. Eight teachers have been interviewed about their views and opinions about the media environment, their goals for media education as well as their opinions about the different course plans used in media education. The term Media Literacy works as a theoretical starting point for the study, since Media Literacy is the goal for most media education. The teachers? answers have been analyzed by using three different approaches to media education: protection, promotion and empowerment.
Pizza och magiska stunder i undervisningen : en kvalitativ studie av processinriktad undervisning med utgångspunkt i två pedagogiska inriktningar
AimThe aim of this study is to discuss process orientated education by identifying and describing general elements in two alternative pedagogies that in different ways attempt to separate themselves from the didactics in the traditional school. The questions are:1. How do the general elements for example the pupil, the knowledge and the lesson, in classroom education appear at a Waldorf and a Freinet school respectively?2. How do the general elements for example the teacher, the lesson planning and the overall goal, that teachers obey to and create in their lesson?s planning appear at the two schools respectively?MethodThe study is based on four days of observations in one ninth grade class at a Freinet school and a corresponding amount of time in one eighth grade class and one ninth grade class at a Waldorf school.
Om den humanistiska tolkningen av Mores Utopia
En traditionell uppfattning som den humanistiska tolkningen tog över från tidigare tolkningar var att Utopia är att betrakta som Mores egen idealstat, något som innebar att den ursprungliga frågeställningen främst gällde vilken sorts ideal denne strävat efter att beskriva. Som vi senare kommer att se så tycks det dock som att denna bild gradvis har framstått som alltmer problematisk när man väl börjat analysera Utopia som ett verk författat inom en viss historisk och kulturell kontext, varför man började anpassa den för att överensstämma med en ökad kunskap om More och hans samtid. Från att ursprungligen ha betraktas som relativt självklar har således bilden av Utopia som en utopi under 1900-talet kommit att bli föremål för debatt, såväl när det gäller vilken sorts ideal More ville förmedla, i vilken grad han avsåg att göra detta, och till slut också huruvida detta alls var hans avsikt.Ett övergripande syfte med denna uppsats är att studera denna utveckling för att undersöka hur och varför bilden av Utopia som en entydig skildring av ett idealsamhälle kom att förändras när verket studerades under den humanistiska tolkningens premisser. För att klargöra detta förhållande lyfts ett antal läsningar av Utopia inom den humanistiska tolkningen fram för att analyseras. Styrande frågeställningar blir här hur man inom dessa väljer att framställa Mores verk, vilka argument man använder sig av för att befästa denna tolkning och eventuella bakomliggande motiv för dessa, hur man förhåller sig till de problem som uppstår när den traditionella bilden av Utopia möter den humanistiska tolkningens perspektiv, samt hur de olika tolkningarna förhåller sig till varandra.

On the 1st of July 2011 a new education act was carried out, which elucidate that all education in course of a public principal shall be non-denominational. In relation to this a public debate about the educational system's policy toward religious institutions, particularly the earlier nation church Svenska Kyrkan, and religious traditions burst out. This thesis reconstructs the ?Lucia debates? that were kept during the years 2011-2012. The aim of this thesis is to identify the mechanisms of the Lucia debate's issue and progress.

AimThe purpose of this study is to, from a perspective of a PE teacher, look at how teachers of physical education in elementary school designs and assesses the teaching of swimming. The issues underlying the study are as follows:Which elements are included in the swimming education and how do teachers work with these operations?What does the PE teachers classify as swimming ability and what do teachers experience as obstacles for the students development of swimming ability?How do the PE teachers interpret the knowledge requirement in Lgr 11?MethodThe study is based on six interviews of qualitative nature, with PE teachers from various municipalities in the region of Mälardalen.ResultsThe result yielded by the study is that the swimming classes can take different forms depending on whom the teacher is. Common to all the teachers in the study is that they teach emergency management and lifesaving. When it later comes to teaching how to swim and practice, the teachers who teach in the younger age groups work more concentrated and continuously with swimming, while the teachers who work with the older age groups just checks whether students can swim or not.

My framing of a question is: How perceive pedagogues the need of special education in the preschool? The study is written from a qualitative model and the study has been carried out with help of interviews. It is five interviews made. Three of them are made by preschool pedagogues and the other two with special education pedagogues.

In this study we aim to research teacher opinions on sexual education and how it is conducted within schools in Sweden. From their view of the education we want to elucidate the different factors of success and tribulation that the sexual education contains. The teacher opinions, which are collected through semi-structured interviews, reflect many different aspects of the sexual education. Though the informants possess different positions within schools they all seem to have some what the same idea of what successes and tribulations the sexual education contains. Furthermore all of them agree on one thing, the students want more sexual education.

The continuous flow of people, capital and goods follows in the wake of advances in communications, transport and information technology, resulting in a changed situation for different stakeholders in the society. The aim of the study was to through a qualitative method with two focus groups investigate how young women percieve that their identity creation is influenced by them reading celebrities Blogs and in that case, whether this type of Internet activity affect their autobiographical memory, the foundation for personal identity. Since the main task of the autobiographical memory is to give the ego and its social mode a foundation by sharing memories with others, the Internet activity should be seen as an important factor for the identity formation of young people. Today, the young spend equally mauch time being connected to various media as they do socializing with family and friends. The results indicate that young women view the world and lifestyle that known Bloggers expose intheir Blogs as a kind of ideal. The young women got an aha reaction when they realized that what the Bloggers expose is not always equal to the real life..

The purpose of this study is to find out how school introduction for newly arrived refugee children is organized in two schools, considering the fact that many refugee children can suffer from PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The study is qualitative, based on interviews with principals, teachers and students in one junior high school and one high school. The study also reviews literature and research on how to work with children who suffer from PTSD. The results show that lack of national policy for the school introduction and education of refugee children, leads to the fact that school introduction can vary from school to school.
Visionen om en ny människa : En postkolonial studie av identitet och världsbild inom pingstmission i Tanzania
Jag har hävdat att religiösa och sekulära ideal smälter samman, och att ett fenomen inte kan tolkas separat från det sammanhang i vilket det har skapats. Missionen har vuxit fram i relation till västerländska föreställningar. Jag har genom min undersökning identifierat tydliga kopplingar i missionärernas föreställningsvärld till kalvinismen, till kapitalismens grundtankar och till grundläggande tankesystem i den koloniala diskursen. Trots att missionen i praktiken har lämnat över ledande positioner i fält till tanzaner, är missionärernas tankevärld fortfarande tydligt präglad av den diskurs som formade den tidiga missionen. Jag har analyserat missionärernas identitet och självbild, samt dennes bild av sinatanzanska medarbetare. Dessa bygger på konstruktionen av det Annorlunda som motsats tillsjälvbilden.

At present the information about how the supervisors? perspective varies on the supervisors? role and the introduction to it depending on work experience and education is unknown. Further it was investigated why the supervisors? role is seen as an entrance to the building industry and how to develop the role to encourage the supervisors to stay longer within it.In the collection of data we have been interviewing supervisors and studying literature.

This thesis discusses how the education in the Master of Engineering program can change to become more into line for the students needs, especially for the women, both directly in the education situation and later in their occupational roles. This is done using a gender perspective. Both the education and the occupation today is characterised by masculine norms and values. The education lacks gender perspective and is created by men, for men. The thesis gives concrete proposals on how to change two existing courses to better fit the students.

Rural development in Southeast Sweden- three different views and their consequences for the agrarian landscapeThis paper deals with the future for the rural areas of the southeast province of Östergötland, Sweden. The aim is to unveil, analyse and compare different views on rural development and their consequences for the agrarian landscape. Three views are considered, namely that of the different levels of Governments and their departments, that of the farmers and landowners and, finaly, that of the inhabitants of the rural areas.Differences in the views upon rural development is reflected in differences in the ways of thinking of landscapes. Is the open, and actively cultivated, landscape the ideal for all? Who is to decide what needs or ought to be done to achieve certain desired values and/or goals ? and who pays for it? The one thing that is, and should be, clear from the beginning is that all development, whether positive or negative in an area, bears consequences for the landscape.
