The Swedish stock-market gives investors an opportunity to benefit from the global growth while financing companies invests and contributes to a socio-Economic development. Parallel to the ownership of the funds also follows a responsibility as companies in the funds affect society and the environment. The growth of savings in funds, combined with an increased focus on sustainability has developed SRI (socially responsible investment). Therefore it is interesting to examine whether responsibility is an exception, which only concerns SRI-funds or a general principle, which includes the whole Swedish stock-market.The results of the survey makes it clear that all the Swedish major banks actively works to integrate sustainability within the respective bank's business to achieve a more sustainable financial system. Thus concludes the investigation that responsible investments are a general principle on the Swedish mutual stock-market.How responsibility is integrated in fund management differ between the banks.

Sub Saharan Africa has during the last decade become the world?s fastest urbanizing region. This change is concentrated to a few metropolitan areas one of them being Dar es Salaam, the largest city of Tanzania. Since the 1960s Dar es Salaam has grown from being a relatively small coastal city of approximately 300 000 people to become a bustling urban centre of four million inhabitants. This development has had a major impact on the city structure, which in turn has affected people?s welfare and the surrounding environment. One such consequence is the detrimental loss of urban vegetation and open areas in the city.

The purpose of this essay is to analyse and understand how students, as consumers, choose brands from the aspects of the concept of CSR, the economic, social and environmental. The essay is based on a qualitative method with three focus groups, with five respondents in each of them. The respondents are all studying at Kalmar University and they have all studied some kind of economic-course. We have used a lot of different sources for our theory chapter, this because of the fact that we wanted to have different angles, so that we would be able to cover all of the questions we wanted to discuss in the focus groups. In our two final chapters we discuss the issues similar to the theory section and we highlight our own thoughts.

Metod: Jag använder mig av svensk kvartalsdata för inflation och penningmängd (mätt som M0 och M3) mellan 1993:1 och 2005:4, för att se om modeller med en felkorrigeringsterm ger bättre prognoser än VAR-modeller, AR-modeller och RW-modeller. Jag prognostiserar med indirekt metod och använder tre olika prognoshorisonter, t+1, t+4 och t+8. Slutsats: Kointegration ger inte bättre prognoser oavsett prognoshorisont. För t+1 är AR-modellen bäst och för t+4 och t+8 är VAR-modellerna bäst.

Product development cycles become shorter and shorter. The time from idea to market has become an important competitive factor. Despite this, methods used for making the product development process faster are surrounded with uncertainty about their efficiency. The purpose of the thesis is to describe the pros and cons of ?best practice? methods for shortening lead times and how these methods effect the lead times in research and development.

This essay is the result of a case study. The aim of this study has been to gain an understanding of government employee?s opportunity to be involved in and contribute to the processes tied to organizational development. The case study is based on the perspective of the government employees and their experience and thoughts regarding their opportunity to be a part of the organizational development. The empirical data that was generated by the case study has been analysed with New Public Management and Sense Of Coherence as a theoretical point of view.

My purpose with this paper related to my questions was to find out how professionals preeschool teachers working on multilingualism. I also wanted to get answers on how pedagogues in the preeschool may promote multilingual children´s language development, the factors that promote multilingual children´s language development and the role parents have in the language development of multilingual children. I chose to do my study in the form of interviews with professional preeschool teachers and interviewees described including the need for more knowledge of pedagogues around multilingualism. My result based on theoretichal background and the study is that pedagogues should let the children´s all languages esemble together. A factor influencing the multilingual children´s language development is ambient attitudes to multilingualism.

Avsikten med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka handelseffekter Sveriges inträde i EU 1994 har medfört på handeln av frukt och grönsaker. Vi har även undersökt hur inträdet har påverkat handeln med tredje land. Med hjälp av Trumans metod har vi analyserat frukt och grönsaker på aggregerad samt disaggregerad nivå. Analyserna samt diskussionerna som förs i uppsatsen utgår ifrån handelsomfördelning och handelsalstring, vilka är de två handelseffekter metodens sex olika utfall påvisar. Då vi studerade en tullunions uppkomst och dess konsekvenser på handeln förväntade vi oss en handelsalstring inom unionen samt en handelsomfördelning gentemot tredje land.

The economic conditions for Swedish dairy farmers are constantly changing. The numbers of producers are declining and the economic conditions for dairy production are weakening debilitating. To improve the economic situation for a farm a hired contractor is a possible solution since previous studies show that machinery cooperation may be beneficial for the farmers. The aim of this study is to examine the possibility for farmers to cut costs by hiring a contractor for harvesting silage. A comparison between using own machinery and hire a contractor is the starting point of this study. Another aim is to discuss the farmer?s decision process when achieving today?s situation and to determinate what factors affect their decisions. The study is based on cases selected from four farms that today have chosen not to or only to some extent, hire a contractor for harvesting silage.

Entrepreneurship as playing a important role for economic growth has been discussed by a number of theorists such as Joseph Schumpeter and Israel M. Kirzner. William J. Baumol developed these theories as he considered that all entrepreneurship doesn?t lead to economic growth, some entrepreneurial activities may even lead to stagnation.

The role of religion, of religious individuals and organizations, is currently discussed within both a private and public sector of development. I have viewed documents from the World Bank and DFID where the religious presence is a growing fact and previous theories that religion would disappear with Economic development have been abandoned. As a result DFID conducted a large study on the importance of religion for development work, RaD 2005-2011, under the directions of Professor Carole Rakodi. Rakodi (2011) concluded that religion was highly related to the success or failure of developmental projects, and to understand the values people had religion needed to be understood within its specific cultural context. She developed an analysis model to conduct this work.

EU:s jordbrukspolitik och dess effekter på unionens och omvärldens invånare är ett ämne som ofta väcker debatt. När man studerar effekterna på medlemsländerna skiljer man ofta mellan budgeteffekter och handelseffekter där det förstnämnda är mer frekvent förekommande både i media och som föremål för studier. Jag har valt att studera handelseffekterna som uppstår tillföljd av att EU skyddar unionens jordbruksproduktion från konkurrens utifrån.Medlemsländerna påverkas olika beroende på hur situationen inom jordbruket och handeln med jordbruksprodukter är i landet. Mitt syfte är att se vilka av medlemsländerna som vinner respektive förlorar på hur EU:s jordbruksprogram är utformat idag. I min analys använder jag data från tidsperioden 1995-2004 och jag har valt att arbeta med produktgrupperna spannmål, kött och frukt och grönsaker.

Hidden away in the pristine landscape on the northeast shore of the Dominican Republic, the remote village of Miches is on the verge of shifting its economic resource base from traditional fishing into what could become an international model for sustainable tourism. The aim of this thesis was to produce a vision of a waterfront park near the center of the village; demonstrating concept-based landscape design that reflects the goals of sustainable development originating from the local incentive structure. A composite landscape analysis and design concept both served to inform and guide the design work, which was executed through model building, hand drawings, and production of a visual presentation in the format of an architectural competition entry. The design concept, All invited, signifies the distinction between the development that is about to take place in Miches and the otherwise common all-inclusive resorts, where tourists are set apart from the local community and spend most of their time within the fenced-off premises of the hotel. All invited also captures the typical Dominican hospitality, and mirrors the aspirations of turning Miches into a safe and welcoming place for visitors. The result is a public park design that is equally inviting local residents as it is to tourists, and where the unique qualities of the site are emphasized without being exploited.

Med de senaste årens volatilitet på oljemarknaderna och den historiska inverkan som oljepriset har haft på inflationen så avser vi att undersöka hur stor inverkan oljepriset har på inflationen idag. Vi gör vår undersökning på ett urval av industrialiserade och ej fullt industrialiserade länder för att se om det är någon skillnad på resultaten mellan dessa typer av ekonomier. Vi närmar oss problemet med en oljeutökad Phillipskurva som specificeras i tre olika modeller. Specifikationerna baseras på nykeynesiansk teori, monetarism och ECB:s två pelar strategi vid inflationsanalys. Vi finner att oljepriset har haft en påverkan på inflationen under tidsperioden 1979-2007 i de industrialiserade länderna men att effekten över lag är avtagande vid en jämförelse med perioden 1990-2007.

In the current situation in the housing market and in particular the inner city much attention is directed towards achieved prices per square meter in sales. The indicator is as a principle an appropriate measure of the housing market?s health and development, and can to some extent be used to make approximations of the general economic health status of municipalities and counties. It occurs occasionally that questions about whether prices are based on fundamentals at all times.The thesis questions that very issue, not from a macro accompanying financial perspective but rather from a microeconomic perspective, where each tenant ownership in the study is a micro-object. Are the observed prices per square meter rational relative to housing cooperative?s assets or is there a lack in the observed prices anchoring the respective association's finances.
