The study aims to investigate the feasibility of small-scale electricity production with solar electricity systems, also known as PV (photovoltaic) systems, in Australia. Due to the global warming, sustainable energy has in recent years become an increasingly important issue, both internationally and in Australia. With one of the largest dependencies on fossil energy sources in the world, the country's abundant solar radiation is a possible solution to this issue.Both the technical and the economic feasibility of small-scale PV systems were investigated. On the technological side, the electricity generation, distribution and consumption systems were studied. On the economical side, the parameters that drive the profitability of a PV investment were investigated.

This report describes how the process has evolved during the creation of a new web page forthe company Scandinavian Travel Agent DMC. The design methods that have been used aredescribed and also how parts of the webpage have been created by using the design methodresults. Our reflections around design and functionality are explained and how usability hasbeen our main focus during the master thesis. We also describe how it has been to work withan external costumer and how the tasks constantly have changed and been added as theprocess has continued.The background to this work is that AB Scandinavian Travel Agent DMC need to improve theircurrent web page. This to give the clients better needed information about destinations, butalso to stand out in the competitive travel business.

Uppsatsen syftar till att belysa det allmänna pensionssystemets ekonomiska incitament till förlängt arbetskraftsdeltagande. Vidare undersöks huruvida pensionssystemet är försäkringsmässigt. För att synliggöra de ekonomiska incitamenten görs en jämförelse med det gamla pensionssystemet. Det allmänna pensionssystemets ekonomiska incitament belyses med följande ekonomiska mått: pensionsförmögenhet, förmånsvärde, toppvärde och ersättningskvot. Valet mellan pension och ökat konsumtionsutrymme åskådliggörs i en nyttofunktionsmodell.

If an enterprise lacks capital it might be in desperate need of capital contribution to avoid liquidation. One solution to restore the economic balance, is to construct a contract in which the enterprise ensures that capital contribution will be made on given conditions. The purpose with this thesis is to analyze different ways to establish such agreements.A capital contribution can be triggered by a call-off from the board of directors to the contributor, or automatically, when the shareholders? equity falls below 50 percent of the registered capital stock. In the literature, the latter is represented as the most adaptable.

The purpose of this report is to simplify the process of designing carbon fiber strengthening for existing concrete constructions, specifically beams. The intention has been to establish a flow chart containing information on the necessary testing and calculations for the design, to as far degree it is possible satisfy the requirements stipulated by Swedish and by extension, European authorities.To do this the report will examine a parking garage situated underground by Akademiska Sjukhuset, Uppsala. The parking garage was built in the mid-seventies, and has in recent years been subjected to a greater load than designed for by the construction of a road on top of it. FEM-Design has been used to obtain the internalforces of the beams and thereby determine whether they are in need of strengthening or not and thereafter design the strengthening according to Täljsten (2006) with some corrections from Täljsten (2011) due to new regulations.The result of this report is that the flow chart used is viable to design carbon fiber strengthening, atleast with the conditions met in our reference project.The conclusion drawn after working with this report is that there is a need for a clear standard for carbon fiber strengthening , preferably a standard that can be used throughout Europe..

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the democratization process in Kurdistan on the basis of consolidation democracy with focus on arenas defined by Linz and Stepan (1997), namely economic, political, legal, civil society and arenas of state bureaucracy. Furthermore, I intend to explain Kurdistan?s road toward democratization in Kurdistan from 1991 until today, with a focus on the years 2003-2012. The main results are that Kurdistan has developed conditions that support a future consolidation of democracy. However, there are weaknesses in the economic situation, rule of law and the arena of bureaucracy.

In this thesis, two studies with different drills were included. In one of the studies two drills were compared: Väderstad Rapid and Väderstad Spirit. In the other study various drills for direct drilling were compared. The study with Rapid and Spirit was placed in two locations with different autumn tillage; one on ploughed land in Uppsala and one on cultivated land in Västerås, both with relatively high clay content. Rapid drills have a single disc coulter, while the Spirit drills have a double disc coulter. Various aspects were compared such as aggregate distribution, seed placement, emergence, crop yield and economic outcome.

As of 2013, around 51 million people were living on the run, classified as refugees. One of the reasons the number has increased so much during the last years can be explained by the war in Syria. The aim of following study is to evaluate the impact the Syrian refugee flow has had on the Turkish society up until today, seeing the consequences of economic, political and social impact made on the Turkish society. Due to these chosen aspects the study will be concentrated only on the changes in the Turkish society brought about accordance with economic, political and social effects. What is desirable is to achieve greater understanding of the positive and negative aspects of refugee flows on host countries.

This thesis investigates how web agencys in Stockholm use, value and incoroprate the terms usability, user experience and interaction design in their work process. The purpose of this study is to investigate how creative professionals works with the notions of usability, user experience and interaction design with focus on the end user. Our definition of creative professionals is every employee at a web agency involved in the work process of developing digital artefacts in any capacity. We wanted to investigate how these notions are considered, consciously or unconsciously, during the workprocess. Semi-structured interviews were conducted at three different web agencys with eight different employees.

Användare har idag höga krav på webbplatser eftersom det har blivit allt vanligaremed företag som väljer att kommunicera över internet. Användare blir otåliga efter 5-10 sekunder och det är därför viktigt att på ett effektivt sätt tillfredsställa användarnasbehov. Det räcker inte med att informationen finns på webbplatsen, utan den måstepresenteras på ett effektivt och tilltalande sätt, annars lämnar användaren webbplatsenoch går vidare till konkurrenten.Denna studie syftar till att skapa kunskap för olika aspekter inom grafisk design ochanvändbarhet för att sedan skapa förståelse för hur grafisk design kan användas för attöka användbarheten på en webbplats.Undersökningen utgår från teoretiska studier som har testats mot verkligheten genomenkäter och intervjuer. Denna empiri analyserades sedan genom att den jämfördesmed den teoretiska undersökningen för att ta reda på hur webbdesigners arbetar tillskillnad mot teoretiska påståenden. Analysen gav oss sedan kunskap och förståelseför att kunna svara på huvudfrågan om hur grafisk design kan användas för att ökaanvändbarheten på en webbplats.Analysen har visat att teorier för grafisk design och användbarhet inte alltid följs tillpunkt och pricka av webbdesigners.

Detta examensarbete omfattar 15 hp och utfördes av Jelena Todorovic, student på Malmö Högskola, Produktdesignprogrammet. Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla en sportbag för personer som bor i närheten av ett gym och som efter träningen duschar hemma. Projektets bas var Användarcentrerad design, som innebär att utvecklingen av konceptet sker efter användarens behov, önskemål och preferenser. Användaren inkluderades i projektet i allt från skisser, intervjuer, observationer, utvärderingar och urval av koncept till slutkonceptet. Studenten såg ett behov av en annan väska än den traditionella sportbagen. Projektets förstudie resulterade i att studenten sammanställde en kravlista på målgruppens önskemål och behov. En sportbag där funktionaliteten var viktigast kom att bli projektets fokus.

This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

Fruktsamheten i Sverige har följt den ekonomiska konjunkturen under de senaste decennierna. Detta till trots att en period av arbetslöshet har en positiv inverkan på individens sannolikhet att föda barn. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att ta reda på vilka som föder färre barn när arbetsmarknadsläget försämras. Syftet är också att ta reda på om de minskade fruktsamhetstalen leder till en långvarig minskning i födelsetalen eller om barnafödandet hinner återhämta sig då det är bättre tider. För att analysera efterfrågan på barn används teorier om den totala efterfrågan på barn samt teorier om den optimala tidpunkten att skaffa barn.

Denna rapport beskriver skapandeprocessen av webbsidan aiducate.se, vars syfte är att stötta, motivera och vägleda gymnasieelever i sin utbildning. Projektet genomfördes självständigt utan någon uppdragsgivare och pågick under en tidsperiod om tio veckor. Till grund låg en förundersökning som visade på bristande motivation hos gymnasieelever. I en kompletterande enkätundersökning fastställdes det att eleverna önskade en modernisering av utbildningen med utrymme för nutida undervisningsmetoder. Som ett komplement till gymnasieutbildningen framställdes därför innovationen Aiducate som i framtiden ska omfatta olika verktyg för studierna.
