I vår uppsats ?Lyckas svenska hedgefonder kombinera strategisk och taktisk tillgångsallokering? undersöker vi om svenska hedgefondförvaltare använder sig av en kombination av alfa- och betastrategier för att på så sätt generera en högre avkastning än den som fås genom att endast tillämpa strategisk tillgångsallokering. Detta gör vi genom att titta på de lineära sambanden mellan hedgefondernas avkastning och marknadens. Våra resultat pekar på att denna distinktion inte görs bland de svenska förvaltarna. Vårt resultat kan dock vara en produkt av svårigheten att finna ett komplett datamaterial över en längre tidsperiod.

We have done research and empirical studies. We have analyzed movies to get an idea how we use the sound design in Swedish drama productions today. Denna uppsats undersöker om prostatacancerscreening är kostnadseffektivt och speciellt studeras patientens oroskänsla vid screeningen. Till grund för uppsatsen ligger ett antal tidigare studier i ämnet och de för frågeställningen viktigaste slutsatserna från dessa belyses. Slutsatsen är att det inte, med säkerhet, går att motivera införandet av allmän prostatacancerscreening. Beroende på antaganden varierar resultaten mellan $8,400 och $145,600 per ytterligare levnadsår, angivet i 1995 års pris. Vidare saknas det fortfarande resultat från stora randomiserade studier som klart visar att screening sänker dödligheten i prostatacancer.

Heart failure is a condition where the heart is incapable of providing adequate blood supply to different organs in the body. The underlying causes of heart failure is some kind of disorder in the heart function, and require careful diagnostics. The basic symptoms that arise from heart failure is difficulty in breathing, that aggravate when lying down, and fatigue. The patients? symptoms and impaired quality of life can be in different stages depending on the severity of the heart failure.

This paper reports a study in how interaction design and graphic design is affected in the process of developing an mobile application to complement the use of an existing webbsite. The paper also ask how developers are affected in this process by the use of designpatterns. The purpous of the report was to see how designpatterns affects the development of mobile applications and how the interaction and graphic design differs between various company webbsites and their related application. A study was conducted by comparing three diffrent webbsites with three related applications to find material for our thesis. Interviews were conducted on three diffrent companys that work professionaly with creating mobile applications.

Croatia became an independent country 1991 and has since then strived to reach a democracy level, which can lead to membership of the European Union. The purpose of this essay is on the basis of consolidate democratic perspective to illustrate Croatia?s democratic development.In order to fulfil the aim, I have applied a qualitative text analysis technique. Through analysis of books and documents, data was collected to accommodate a valid result. I have used consolidated democracy, with its five areas (political, civil, economic, legal and bureaucratic), as my theoretical framework to the data, to provide answers and develop an analysis.The conclusions show that the consolidate democracy in Croatia has developed a lot since the independence, and Croatia is on its good way to turn into a democratic state like other West-European countries.

When different type of programs are developed one wants to make these adjustable to future changes and requirements. It must be done a good design of the program from the beginning to make it possible to continue development of it without having to redo big parts of it to high costs. In the area of object orientation there are design pattern, which can be used to design systems that can be adjusted to new changes in an easier way. I have in this thesis chosen to take a closer look at how to design a program that sends SMS to cell phones through a system of an operator. One requirement on the program is that it has to be possible to change what operator to send though in an easy way.

Samtidigt som vi idag lever i ett allt mer integrerat samhälle kan vi observera att många produktionsprocesser blir mindre integrerade och allt mer fragmenterade. Internationell fragmentering och specialisering är två fenomen som blir att vanligare inom internationell handel och speciellt inom en komplex tillverkningsindustri som bilindustrin. Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera vilka effekter som NAFTA har haft på handel och vertikal specialisering i bilindustrin mellan USA och Mexiko. Genom studien har det framkommit att NAFTA har lett till en ökad handel inom bilindustrin mellan Mexiko och USA och att frihandelsområdet även har bidragit till att biltillverkningen i USA och Mexiko blivit mer fragmenterad. Sammantaget konstateras att bilindustrin kan delas upp i många delprocesser, med olika faktorintensiteter.

När ett nytt databassystem ska tas fram och införas i en organisation ska funktioner och krav på systemet identifieras och analyseras i en designprocess. Ett krav på ett databassystem kan vara att systemet ska uppvisa en viss prestanda. Designprocessen leder så småningom fram till fysisk design av databasen och dess applikationer. Det kan finnas flera olika lösningar för fysisk design av databasen och dess applikationer som tillgodoser kraven och funktionerna som ska finnas i systemet.
