The purpose of this paper is to identify the current status of fuel cell technology and to establish whether said technology is mature enough to be implemented into the Swedish Armed Forces. The question to be answered in this paper is as follows: Can hydrogen gas and fuel cells be used as an alternative source of energy within the Swedish Armed Forces?This paper is based on theoretical studies and reports from prior research done on fuel cells. By studying these facts a predictive answer has been obtained. The answer I have come to, is that the maturity of fuel cell technology is currently inadequate for the Swedish Armed Forces to implement, especially considering its harsh working conditions..

This study was a degree in Master of Science in agriculture with specialization in animal science for the Department of animal nutrition and management at SLU. The subject was created by AS-Faktor, a small company for science and development within the company Lantmännen AB. It was a test of the effect of SPC (Special Processed Cereals) on induction of the endogenous protein AF (an antisecretory factor) in plasma and intestinal lumen in broilers. Previous results have shown positive effects on different intestinal diseases in pigs, horses, dogs as well as in humans. Beside the induction we also studied the effects on results in a conventional slaughter chicken production, including the ability of SPC to compete with or be affected by the coccidiostat, Salinomax.When diarrhoea occurs, it's because there is an imbalance between the secretion and the absorption and it can be caused by for example toxins.

Local participation in nature conservation has gained more attention over the last decades due to international conventions as well as local and national initiatives. This development can be seen as a reaction to a more expert oriented nature conservation characterized by centralized control and strict preservation of so called "original" nature. The overall objective of this thesis is to contribute to research on new forms of conservation where democracy and local participation is included. The case study focuses on the process of producing a pre-study for a suggested national park in southern Jämtland in the Swedish mountain region, and aims to investigate to what extent local participation was included. The pre-study was led by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and the County Administrative Board (CAB) in Jämtland.

If one looks at physical planning in Sweden today one can see that while talking about densification of existing development, reduced emissions and careful use of important land, urban sprawl is a fact with development of sheer residential districts in the urban edges and shopping malls in each and every municipality. As sustainable development is an essential goal for physical planning to strive towards, it is worth questioning if the direction of today?s planning will lead to the goal. Vårt syfte med denna uppsats är att bidra till en ökad förståelse för hur lärande sker inom en projektgrupp och vilka sociala och organisatoriska konsekvenser lärandet får för arbetet. Vi har sett att olika sorters lärande uppstår i olika situationer och dessa leder till varierande former av kunskap. Kunskap värderas olika beroende på de antaganden som styr organisationen och högre värderad kunskap tenderar att uppmärksammas mer än annan kunskap. Relationer är en förutsättning för lärande och hur dessa uppstår och förändras beror på tre faktorer vi sett; trygghet, status och tid. Mental illness in school ? A counselors perspective - The purpose of the study is to examine school counselors work with students (13- 15 years of age) who are struggling with mental illness. Focus on mental illness is discussed in a school context. From the school counselors perspective questions like, what kind of working methods are they using and, how they collaborate are examined. The research design is based on a qualitative approach, with ten Semistructured interviews with ten different informants who work as a counsellor at 10 different schools around Skåne.

The Natura 2000 Network is one of the European Unions many tools concerning nature conservation, and is without comparison the premier contribution when it comes to halting the loss of biodiversity. This essay is a case study on how the regional work with the Natura 2000-network has been carried out in four different counties. These counties are Södermanland, Västernorrland, Jämtland and Örebro. They have been compared based on the theoretical concept of sustainable development. This essay describes how the officials in the County Administrations view the regional implementation of Natura 2000 when it comes to the selection of Natura 2000-sites with forest habitats and the creation of an additional protective measure.

Background: There is no guarantee that products should be equitable produced. Many products in today's trade is produced by minors, resulting in poor working environment, and gives the workers low payment. Fairtrade is the only label on the market that ensures that farmers receive fair payment for their products. Aim: The central aim with our work is to see what the future consumers, in other words students from Lund's university, Malmö College and The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Alnarp, think about products labeled with Fairtrade, and what they consider is value creation for food products. Students are often relatively young; they educate themselves and have new thoughts and valuations about how the world should be.

Syftet med den här kandidatuppsatsen har varit att studera vilken legal status tentamen och tentamensvar samt elev- och studentbetyg har i svensk rättstillämpning med hjälp av frågorna är tentamen och tentamensvar allmänna handlingar samt är elev- och studentbetyg allmänna handlingar? I uppsatsen har den traditionella juridiska metoden tillämpats. Utredningen visar att tentamen samt tentamensvaren av Kammarrätten i Stockholm definierats som offentliga allmänna handlingar först efter att tentamen slutförts, eftersom de omfattas av provsekretess. The last century, forest fires have decreased in frequency due to efficient fire-suppression along with the growth of the industrial forestry. Since 1990, fire has been reintroduced under controlled forms to recreate burnt habitats. Many species that are dependent on, or benefits from, forest fires have increased since fire was reintroduced. The importance of connectivity is often addressed in ecological research. This is particularly important for species dependent on short-lived habitats such as burnt forests.

Denna uppsats behandlar ungdomars syn på manliga och kvinnliga egenskaper ur ett jämställdhetsperspektiv. För att få klarhet i detta har vi genomfört tre gruppintervjuer, där ungdomar i åldern 15-17 år deltog. Vi har i huvudsak använt oss av Yvonne Hirdmans teori om genus och Simone de Beauvoirs tankar om kvinnors underordnade ställning i samhället. Vårt resultat visar att ungdomar inte är så jämställda som de själva anser. Deras svar tyder på att de är polariserade och har tydliga uppfattningar om hur män/kvinnor, killar/tjejer ska bete sig för att bli accepterade av de övriga.

Projektets syfte är att inventera 25 hotade eller sällsynta växtarter i Falköpings kommun, efter ett delmål i Falköpings naturvårdsprogram. Det är också en uppföljning av ett examensarbete som utfördes 2008 inom samma område. I projektet undersöktes hur arternas status har förändrats sedan tidigare år, vad anledningen till förändringen är samt vilka skötselåtgärder som kan förbättra arternas status i framtiden.

One must consider cost effectiveness when deciding how resources within the health sector should be distributed. Quality adjusted life years (QALYs) are used to measure the value of different medical treatments. QALY is based on utility maximization theory, which suggests that a QALY is always a QALY regardless of who receives it. Therefore, a produced QALY is worth the same regardless of the age or the initial health of the patient. Previous research has shown that these assumptions do not seem to fit the real preferences of individuals.

Undersökningen, som är explorativ, syftar till att jämföra svenska personers erfarenheter och tankar om utbrändhet med amerikanska medborgares. Det gjordes 7 intervjuer på två grupper, 4st svenska och 3st amerikanska, och urvalet var till viss del bekvämlighetsurval. Dock var status i grupperna relativt homogent då några inom varje grupp själva var eller hade varit utbrända och andra inte. Intervjufrågorna var av den karaktären att av svaren skulle man kunna få en allmän uppfattning huruvida fenomenet utbränd responseras olika i två relativt lika länder. Resultatet visar, i allmänhet, att man inte diskuterar fenomenet utbränd/burnout i samma utsträckning i USA som i Sverige samt att det finns olika strategier för att undvika det..
