När gymkultur blir problematisk : En kvalitativ studie om ohälsosamt träningsbeteende
Gyms are populated by more and more people and there is an increased interest in wellness and health. However, there is a downside to the culture that people choose to step into. Exercise can go too far and take unhealthy directions. The purpose of this study is to examine how norms are created in the gym culture and how unhealthy behaviour is reproduced inside the walls of the gym. We have also done research about how a local gym identifies and handles deviant behaviour such as the use of doping and Eating disorders.
The effect of social rank on milking and feeding behaviour in automatic milking system for dairy cows
Today automatic milking systems (AMS) are growing in popularity. In these systems the cows are loose and have to get to the robot and the feed on their own. The cows ranking in this system affect their welfare. In this study data from seven years in an AMS was used and analysed. The aim was to investigate how ranking could affect the behaviour of the cows at milking and at feeding.

In this essay, I have interviewed six young women about their views on body image and how their views are affected by their surroundings, massmedia and social media. Also the relationship between body image and Eating disorders is relevant in this context and has a part in the study. The purpose of this study is to build an understanding of how young women relate to the body ideal that exists around them. Theoretical auxiliary tools used are George Herbert Mead's theory of the generalized other, Erving Goffman's theory of dramaturgical perspective and impression management, and Du Bois's theory of double consciousness. I have also used two scientific articles to get a deeper understanding of the subject.

Orala hälsoproblem och ätsvårigheter hos äldre
Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka den orala hälsans påverkan på ätandet hos äldre personer.Vetenskapliga artiklar söktes i databasen PubMed med begränsning till artiklar inom tidsperioden 2000-2010, åldersgruppen 60 år och äldre. Totalt 11 artiklar inkluderades i studien.Resultatet visade att försämrad munhälsa, nedsatt tuggförmåga, många saknade tänder, smärta och obehag i munnen, illasittande tandproteser och muntorrhet ger problem med ätandet. Detta leder till att äldre med försämrad oral hälsa ändrar på sina val av livsmedel och ofta avstår från livsmedel som är problematiska att äta på grund av svårigheter med att tugga och svälja eller rädsla för att orsaka ytterligare skada på bräckliga tänder. Studiens slutsats är att en genomgång av litteraturen visade att äldre människor med nedsatt oral status hade risk för ätsvårigheter. Att ersätta förlorade tänder tycks ha betydelse för att upprätthålla en optimal tuggfunktion..

In cooperation with the municipality of Jönköping and a person who wants to operate a restaurant on the beach, is this essay a proposal of how this part of the shore of Lake Vättern can look in the future.The focus of the work is to design a restaurant. This is made on the basis of the interviews that have been made with the operators of the area and a thought building, and from the existing rules of the performing and designing of a restaurant.The planned restaurant is placed in an area where it today is a public toilet.
Uteservering för Hotell & Restaurang Villa Anna : urban odling i uteserveringsmiljö med storytelling som gestaltningsverktyg
In this paper, I design a new concept for a patio at Hotel and Restaurant Villa Anna in Odinslund, Uppsala, Sweden. Through this design, I examine how urban farming can thrive in a restaurant-context. The purpose of the design is to give the visitor a sense of the core values of the cuisine and to strengthen the sense of place by storytelling. My methods are comprised of a literature study on urban farming and storytelling as well as a discussion with the res-taurateur Rafael Löfstedt. I create a story of the place by examining its historical background and connect it to the current philosophy of the Villa Anna restaurant.

AimThe purpose of this degree thesis was to find out what strategies and behaviours earlier overweight individuals have used to maintain their weight loss.- What strategies did the participants use to loose weight?- Which behaviours are related with maintained weight loss?MethodThe study is based on an encase research with earlier overweight individuals who had lost weight with help of the Cambridge method. The chosen population who further more had maintained their weight for over one year have answered questions about their successfully maintained weight loss.ResultsThe results are based on 32 overweighed individuals, 9 men and 23 women, who had maintained their weight loss for over one year. After the initial weigh loss by help of the Cambridge method their main strategy was to change Eating behaviour ? by Eating on regular schedule, choose food with less fat ? and to increase their physical activity.

A horse on pasture has an even production of saliva and gastric acids. The buffering effect of the saliva makes the pH in the stomach above four throughout most of the day. With abnormal long breaks of Eating, the pH may decrease, causing an increased risk of gastric ulcer.

Modern milk production have come a long way when it comes to accommodating the
nutritional and physiological needs of the animals, but unfortunately the behavioural and
psychological needs of cows and heifers are often left unfulfilled. A long time for Eating
is beneficial for the digestion and also gives the cattle something to do and decreases the risks for developing abnormal behaviours. An important factor that influences Eating- and ruminating time is the particle size of the roughage. The aim of the study was to find out if particle size influences the behaviour of dairy heifers, in particular with regard to Eating behaviour and abnormal behaviours.
The study was conducted at Uddetorp farm high school in Skara. Forty-two heifers of the
breeds SR and SF were housed in 8 slatted floor pens.
