Ätstörningsspecifik reflektiv funktion : samband med affektmedvetenhet, självskattad anknytningsstil och ätstörningssymtom

Syftet var att utvärdera en ny intervju, SRF-ED, Symptomspecific Reflective Functioning - Eating disorders. Intervjun blev validerad i förhållande till ätstörningssymtom, anknytningsstil och affektmedvetenhet. Sammanlagt deltog 22 personer, 21 kvinnor och en man. De intervjuades med SRF-ED samt ACI-S/O (Affect Consciousness Interview ? Self/Others) och fyllde i självskattningsformulären ENR kortform (Erfarenheter i Nära Relationer) och EDE-Q version 6,0 (Eating disorder Examination Questionnaire).

Det ätstörda samhället och det sociala arbetet : En kvalitativ studie om ätstörningar ur ett sociokulturellt perspektiv

The main domain in which Eating disorders are defined is medical, whereas socio-cultural perspectives are less common. Because social workers seeks to explain different problems taking societal factors into account, we asked ourselves if social workers have a way of understanding Eating disorders, that is different from a medical point of view. Two focus group interviews were conducted; the one composed by social workers with experience of working with Eating disorders, and the other by social workers without that experience, which enabled comparisons. The interviews were analyzed using socio-cultural and feminist perspectives. The result showed that the social workers use socio-cultural perspectives in explaining Eating disorders.

IBS patients experiences of eating the low FODMAP-dietIrritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common, functional gastrointestinal tract disorder. The disease is benign but may cause much suffering for the individual. The treatments available are used to relieve symptoms. One nutrition therapy is to exclude fermentable oligo-, di-, monosaccharide and polyols, so callde FODMAPS, from the diet. This diet is proven successful and even significantly better than the standard nutrition advice for IBS.

När hälsa blir ohälsa : En studie om Ortorexia Nervosa och två sorters självkänsla

Ortorexia Nervosa (ON) är ett idag relativt okänt fenomen och detfinns skilda åsikter angående vilken typ av problem det är. Det finns desom menar på att det kan vara en ätstörning eller ett tvångssyndrom.Studien genomfördes med syfte att undersöka hur utbrett ON är hosträningsintresserade människor samt undersöka om bassjälvkänsla ochförvärvad självkänsla kunde relateras på olika sätt till graden av ONsamt se ifall kön och ålder har någon inverkan på detta.Undersökningen genomfördes med enkäter som mätte graden av ONoch självkänsla på 102 deltagare. Det visade sig att 33% av antaletdeltagare hade poäng över tröskelvärdet för ON. Studiens äldre ochyngre deltagare visade sig vara de som fick högst poäng på testet förON, dock hittades ingen skillnad beträffande kön. Inga signifikantasamband mellan ON och de två typerna av självkänsla kunde hittas.Idag är forskningen bristfällig inom ON och fler studier behövs..

Barn med språkstörning möter svenskämnet i skolan : föräldrars berättelser

The overall aim of this study is to clarify the situation in school for children with language disorder from the parents? perspective.Data were collected through five interviews with parents who have children of different ages and with various diagnosis within the language disorder spectra. A qualitative method based on a narrative inquiry was used and each interview was based on a interview guide with the following themes: the child?s difficulties, starting school, the school?s pedagogy, homework, action plans, participation and the future.Each story has its own themes, but there are also themes that are common in all interviews. One common theme in the parents? stories is that school has a lack of knowledge when it comes to language disorder.

Older people in sheltered accommodation in community care were not able to manage their own nutrition. This paper is written in the field of Educational Science, and it focuses on literature that pupils read. Literature has the power to shape readers beliefs, that is why this paper aims to examine, and compare two novels that are used in Swedish schools in class settings. Both novels deal with the issue of psychiatric disorder from a woman´s perspective. Research done in the field of psychiatric disorder shows that it is an important subject that should be addressed in schools. Research done from the perspective of gender studies points out the need of representation of female perspective in literature that pupils are working with.

Låta maten tysta mun : Skillnader och samband i graden av mindful eating i förhållande till Body Mass Index och demografiska variabler

Bakgrund: En ökad medveten närvaro kring måltiden och ätandet genom mindful eating har i ny forskning visat sig vara en effektiv metod för att minska en rad olika sjukdomar och hälsorelaterade problem samt bidra till gynnsamma hälsoeffekter. Trots detta finns få studier genomförda i en svensk kontext.Syfte: Undersöka och beskriva graden av mindful eating hos en grupp individer på sociala medier i förhållande till Body Mass Index och demografiska variabler.Metod: Deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie med en kvantitativ ansats. Ett tidigare utvecklat instrument, Mindful Eating Questionnaire (MEQ), översattes och distribuerades som en webbaserad enkätundersökning. Respondenterna rekryterades under en veckas tid genom ett snöbollsurval på det sociala nätverket Facebook. Inklusionskriterierna var att deltagarna skulle behärska det svenska språket, vara mellan 20-65 år och användare av Facebook.

The study was a quantitative cross-sectional study which aimed at investigating college students? eating habits in relation to the Swedish food agency dietary recommendations. The likely factors associated with eating habits and attitudes towards dietary recommendations were also investigated. Non probability sampling method was used giving rise to convinient study sample of 51 individuals (41 women and 11 men) ages 19 to 37. The participants were part of four different types of educations, Care and health, Economy, Engineering, computering and societal planning and Culture and media.

Abstract: The purpose with this study was to explore different peoples preconceived opinions of three psychiatric diagnoses; Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). These designations are accompanied by a definite social stigma, which could have profound effects on a person diagnosed with either disorder. These designations carry the risk of excluding and labelling individuals and could provoke a feeling of abnormality and potentially segregate them from the Community. This study is a qualitative study of six individuals, (sample size equals six). The rationale behind the selection was to get a broad representation of different individuals? opinions.

Kroppsideal hos unga kvinnor i åldern 15-25 år : En kvalitativ studie av unga kvinnors syn på kroppsideal

In this essay, I have interviewed six young women about their views on body image and how their views are affected by their surroundings, massmedia and social media. Also the relationship between body image and Eating disorders is relevant in this context and has a part in the study. The purpose of this study is to build an understanding of how young women relate to the body ideal that exists around them. Theoretical auxiliary tools used are George Herbert Mead's theory of the generalized other, Erving Goffman's theory of dramaturgical perspective and impression management, and Du Bois's theory of double consciousness. I have also used two scientific articles to get a deeper understanding of the subject.
