The moose is a keystone species in the boreal forest ecosystem, but the dense Swedish population do cause some serious problems. From a forestry perspective, their browsing on young Scot pine (Pinus sylvestris) causes extensive losses of revenue. Adjusting the cleaning along roadsides of low trafficked forest roads can favour the production of plant species preferred by the moose. This is thought to redirect the moose´s browsing to the roadsides and thereby decrease the damages on commercial forest.The aim of this study has been to present a first evaluation of the vegetation in roadsides, one year after wildlife-adapted roadside clearing has been undertaken. In the wildlifeadapted clearing operation, the roadside was widened by removal of some trees in the forest EDGE whereupon a complementary clearing with a conventional chain flail was conducted.

In order to respond to a more complex community planning with increased
cooperation and public participation, a common language and a common
model to be used as a base for the communication process is needed. The
thesis behind this dissertation for a master's degree is that a virtual 3D
planning portal would respond to this need. Why and how are explained and
described through studies of communication- and perception theory as well
as technology and recent research.
The introduction concludes that a broad participation and a transparence
towards underlying information are important foundations for the coming
work with the model. The first four chapters of the theory part show the
benefits of using natural signs in our mixed cultural society, instead of the
more arbitrary symbols. Using visual landscapes for storing information is
motivated by the flexibility of our visual memory and its ability to
understand complex connections.
Populärmusik, konstmusik eller bara musik? : En undersökning av konstmusikaliska inslag i tre populärmusikaliska verk
Det är inte ovanligt att viss rock- och annan populärmusik tillskrivs konstnärliga ambitioner, eller förses med epitet som "konstnärlig" och "konstmusikalisk". Sällan utvecklas emellertid på vilket sätt detta konstnärliga tar sig uttryck. Uppsatsens syfte är att musikanalytiskt undersöka vad som kan motivera formuleringarna och om de kan anses adekvata. Materialet för undersökningen är tre verk/låtar ur rockgenren, som beskrivits med ovanstående begrepp: Close to the EDGE med gruppen Yes från 1972, Sense of Doubt med David Bowie från 1977 och Sleep med gruppen Godspeed You! Black Emperor från 2000. Metoden är den auditiva musikanalysen, vilket innebär att analysen utgår från ett aktivt lyssnande på musikens förlopp.

It is important to ensure and develop the Swedish model for riding schools, since the pupils at a Swedish riding school learn both to ride and to handle horses. There is a pronounced problem of stagnation and in some cases a reduced demand in several of the equine industry sectors including breeding with decreased coverings. The aim of this study was to cast light on how representatives from the horse industry looks at riding schools and their recruitment of horses in the next five years. The research issue was ?Will there be difficulties regarding horse recruitment in 2020 and in that case, what are the consequences??
The results of this work consist mostly of material from a workshop on how the riding school will be affected by reduced breeding in the future.
