AbstractWhy don't (some) regimes with formal democratic features undergo transition to democracy? Which are the internal Dynamics of these regimes that can offer comprehension to this state of affairs? The main purpose of this thesis is to advance the above questions, and, on a lower level of abstraction, examine the case of Egypt. The Egyptian regime is characterized by, for instance, a multiparty-system, steps toward economic liberalization, and some level of persistent state opposition, and has been considered on the way to liberal democracy, but can still hardly be estimated as such.Thus, the thesis takes part in a theoretical framework on democratization, and further analyzes the case of Egypt on grounds of socioeconomic development, political culture, and class configuration. By this contextual approach, the thesis adduces that a low level of modernization, an incomplete democratic political culture, and a bourgeoisie supported by the state are impending significant factors. The thesis additionally remarks on the interconnection of the adopted theories, and discusses a potential need for new theoretical propositionsA secondary aim of the thesis also gives some insights into the concurrence of regime stability and the absence of democracy in, what often could be labelled, authoritarian regimes.

Ringhals 3 is being upgraded to produce more power and a tool for analyzing the new operating conditions is needed.The work in this thesis has consisted of improving and developing an existing model of Ringhals 3 made with the modelling tool Dymola. The model has been validated by comparing the results of a simulated house load transient with data from the actual plant. Validation shows good agreement with data from the real plant.

The effects of social media usage in a professional context, specifically the effects on social media usage in relation to leadership have been studied in order to determine weather or not usage can be productive for leadership in general. The study concludes that there are several benefits as well as drawbacks to leadership in using social media, but has yet to conclude weather productive or not. This study gives an overview of a relatively unexplored subject.Leadership in terms of leader, communication and group Dynamics have been defined and explained in accordance with existing literature. A  brief review of computer and Internet history attempts to explain the formation and evolution of social media. Risks in terms of risks related to leadership and risks related to IT-security are taken into consideration and have been briefly explained.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and specify the characteristics of servicescapes in the hotel industry and its role when building a brand. Further, the aim is to put forward how Management in this sector strategically utilizes the location to manage the staff in order to help build a strong lasting brand. To fulfill our purpose we have targeted one overall question - What purpose does servicescape have when building a solid brand name in the hotel sector?In today?s society brands play an integral part in influencing our buying behavior and are now considered to be a new business tool to communicate a business trough. Also services have become a widespread phenomenon, which is seen as a competitive tool not only for companies in the service sector.

Denna studie behandlar tillväxt och beståndsstruktur samt sambandet mellan dessa i skog skött med blädningsbruk. Blädningsbruk förutsätter fullskiktad skog med fallande diameterfördelning, under nordiska förhållanden vanligtvis dominerad av gran (Picea abies (L.) Karst). Strukturen i fullskiktad skog är resultatet av tillväxt, skörd/mortalitet och inväxning. Kunskap om det komplexa samspelet mellan dessa faktorer ger skogsskötaren möjlighet att planera och sköta fullskiktad skog för en hög och uthållig produktion. Undersökningar och litteratur inom aktuella områden tas upp i en litteraturstudie. Ämnen som behandlas är: definitioner och begrepp, diameterfördelningen i fullskiktad skog och hur denna kan beskrivas, blädning och andra avverkningsstrategier samt tillväxt- och produktionsundersökningar i Norden, Europa och USA.

Denna rapport fokuserar på vilka skillnader och likheter det finns mellan ledarskapsstilar inom privat och offentlig sektor. Rapporten använder sig av ett statistiskt underlag som tagits fram med hjälp av beteendeprofileringsverktyget Interpersonal Dynamics Inventory (IDI). Dessutom har ett flertal intervjuer genomförts med utvalda ledare inom privat och offentlig sektor. Rapporten undersöker vilka ledarskapstilar som finns och vilka som är vanligast förekommande. Rapporten tar även upp viktiga faktorer som skiljer den privata sektorn från den offentliga.Syftet med denna rapport är att identifiera skillnader och likheter vad gäller ledarskapsstilar inom privat och offentlig sektor.

Th is thesis is about how to create communicative images. It is mainly for landscape architects. With communicative images, I mean images created with the purpose to communicate a proposal or idea in a direct way to. By only looking at the image, the viewer should get an idea of what the proposal entails. A communicative image should also create an interest in the proposal.

Uppsatsens inledning börjar med att introducera läsaren till arbetet med en presentation av ämnet och varför det är av intresse samt en beskrivning av utbildningen för upplevelseproduktion. Vidare presenteras de teorier från upplevelseproduktion som berör arbetet samt viktiga teoretiska delar om generationer, pedagogik och lärande samt Human Dynamics som ligger till bakgrund för arbetet.Syftet med arbetet är att kombinera teorier om upplevelsesamhället och upplevelseproduktion med pedagogisk teori för att ta fram ett koncept för framtida lärande som är mer individanpassad och hänsynstagande till elever med särskilda behov.För att kunna svara på de framtagna forskarfrågorna:?Vilka teorier om upplevelsesamhället och upplevelseproduktion kan appliceras på individanpassat lärande??Hur kan detta kombineras med pedagogisk teori och tillsammans stärka ett individanpassat framtida lärande?? har det genomförts en litteraturstudie och vidare en konceptutveckling.Studien har genomförts för att visa att det finns likheter mellan teorier från upplevelseproduktion och pedagogiska teorier. En kombination av dessa teorier kan underlätta lärandeprocessen inom skolan. Även organisationer eller projekt som till exempel Framtidens lärande kan utvecklas med hjälp av nya kunskaper de inte redan besitter om lärande..

Forskningen angående gryppdynamikens inverkan på högintensiv träning är liten, vilket skapar problem i samband med den ökade träningstrenden. Det har nu uppstått en ny arena att forska på.Genom experimentella studier studerades individers motivation samt prestation i olika försatta situationer. 10 deltagare utförde samtliga under sammanlagt tre tillfällen ett förutbestämt pass under olika förutsättningar (se bilaga 1). Studien innebär således tre likadana passutföranden.Genom intervjuer samt kartläggning av tider sammanställdes data vilken kom att beskriva samt förklara hur och varför deltagarnas prestationer kom att skifta. Resultatet kom att analyseras med hjälp av studiens teoretiska ramverk angående tävlingssituationer av Weinberg & Gould (2011) samt flertalet motivationsteorier.Studien visar tydliga samband på att prestation samt motivation ökar då deltagarna utför passen med medtävlande, samt i större grupper.
