Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka effekter östutvidgningen kan ha på den svenska familjeförsäkringen. Arbetet fokuserar på Polens inträde i EU och en eventuell polsk immigration till Sverige. Metod: Undersökningen bygger på migrationsteorier och jämförelser med tidigare utvidgningar av den Europeiska Unionen och pekar på drivkrafter bakom immigration. Slutsatser: Arbetet visar på stora ekonomiska skillnader mellan Sverige och Polen och att det finns avsevärda incitament till immigration. Samtidigt ger tidigare utvidgningar prov på att människor i allmänhet är trogna sin hembygd.

The thesis explores the Uncovered Interest rate Parity (UIP) and the possibility of cross-currency arbitrage between England, Germany and Sweden. The data is gathered between May 1999 and December 2005 on a monthly basis and is compared using simple regression analysis. The aim is to find out whether UIP holds and, if it does not, a risk premium exists that makes it possible to make arbitrage gains on moving capital between England, Germany and Sweden. It is discovered that UIP does not hold and that cross-currency arbitrage possibilities exist. In the end a an attempt is made to practically show how the arbitrage possibility could be used for a real investor to make risk free gains from the Foreign Exchange market..

Title: Theory and Practice: A study of Swedish Research on the Internationalization in Swedish Business and its Relevance to Practice´s, according to The Camber of Commers, Swedish Trade Council and researchers.Main issue: Within marketing science, there is an general ongoing discussion about the gap between researchers and practitioners, this leads to the thesis main issue on whether the Swedish marketing research conducted in the internationalization of Swedish companies, is relevant to practitioners and provides essential tools for practitioners to applicable in real business situations.Purpose: The purpose is to answer the problems of theory and practice, what it looks like and what the underlying factors and impact difference between internationalization theory and practice are.Method: The thesis has a qualitative methodology mainly based on theory, as well as empirical findings from researchers and organizations working with Swedish company's internationalization.Results: The result shows that there is a difference between theory and practice and that there are several factors underpinning this. Theories primary purpose is not to be practical but to explore an unanswered need to create an understanding to the researcher?s audience, which is other researchers, thereby are theories based on knowledge not demands from the practitioners. The result also shows that the internationalization theories can be applied in practice´s reality on the internationalization of companies. Research degree of generality has a sense of reality given by the empirical studies which therefore reflects the reality of the theory which gives theory a content of truth.Conclusion: The gap that exists between theory and practice has both positive and negative effects.

Because of my interest and experience within the field of children and teenagers with an antisocial behaviour and who are acting out I wanted to devote my essay to researching these children through the perspective of the teachers. In this essay I, therefore, interviewed 4 teachers with 4-16 years of experience within this occupation. The method I've chosen can be described as qualitative interview with semi-structured questions to enable the teachers to thoroughly describe their answers without diverting from the original question. The questions that form this essay are: What strategies do the teachers possess to enable stability, a safe work environment and enabling knowledge-sharing for the children that are acting out? What kind of tools do the teachers use when they work with children who are acting out? The results were analysed through the theory of socialization, which simplified can be compared with upbringing.

Till exempel skulle ett system för tidsbokning on-line för läkarbesök möjliggöra för människor att enkelt och snabbt boka den tid som passar hos familjeläkare eller specialist. Samtidigt skulle den avlasta läkarsekreterare och frigöra arbetstid som skulle kunna användas till något annat. Men vårdpersonal kan uppleva IT som ett hot.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns en ökad korrelation mellan de europeiska börserna, både som medlemmar i EU och EMU. Då USA länge varit en ledande världsekonomi vill vi undersöka om dess inverkan på de europeiska börserna har förändrats. Metod: Vi har utifrån olika börsers dagliga avkastningar beräknat det månatliga medelvärdet och korrelationen. Resultaten har vi sedan jämfört för att finna samvariation. För att kunna se om korrelationerna skiljer sig åt har vi beräknat konfidensintervall.

Swedish goats are mainly held for cheese production and therefore, both milk quality and composition are of great importance for dairymen. Today, only few data exists on milk composition from Swedish dairy goats and the casein content is still unknown. One way to reduce the work load for goat farmers and increase animal welfare can be to keep goats and kids together for longer periods. The aims of this study were to investigate how milk yield and composition were affected when kids suckled their dams during 8 weeks, and to measure the casein content on farm level by a mid-infrared spectroscopy method, previously calibrated for goat milk. Lactating goats were kept in two different MIX- systems where the dams are both suckled and milked.

Radius hade önskemål om att kunna visa väderinformation från en väderstation i Radius egna övervakningssystem Uni-View. Detta skulle ske via ABB: s styrsystem AC 800M/ 800xA, med en PM856 processor. Arbetet handlar om att upprätta kommunikation mellan en PLC och väderstation, och från PLC vidare upp till Uni-View. Rapporten behandlar hela arbetsprocessen med början från en prototyp till ett fungerande system.

Fältsäljare har alltid kännetecknats av att ha ett mobilt arbetssätt där kundkontakt tillhör vardagen och god planering är vitalt. HILTI är ett verktygstillverkande företag som nyligen infört ett mobilt IS-stöd i förhoppning om att underlätta med bland annat planering för fältsäljarna. En explorativ undersökning av företaget har genomförts för att få en uppfattning, utifrån fältsäljarens perspektiv, hurvida denna upplever att yrkesrollen förändrats vid införandet av ett mobilt informationssystem. Insamling av data har utförts med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer för att få en tydlig bild av de förändringar som försäljaren upplever anmärkningsbara. Resultatet visar att systemet bidragit till direkta förändringar i försäljarens yrkesroll.

How effective is consumer power? Can consumers regulate corporate behavior?And if so is the case, could the mechanisms where consumers regulate corporatebehavior have any democratic value to contribute with? These are the questionsthat this master's thesis comprehends with. The purpose of this writing is toconstruct a theory of consumer power that is compatible with democratic theory,this in order to contribute to the ongoing discussion within the discipline ofpolitical science about the third democratic transformation. A discussion that hasbeen actualized due to the democratic deficit created by the growing corporatepower and the shift of power from state to private enterprises. Besides showingfor a parallel between the democratic mechanisms that exists in the relationbetween citizens and state on the one hand, and the consumers and corporationson the other hand, this paper argues that consumers do have a great potential inregulating corporate behavior towards a higher social responsibility andawareness.

Scrum är ett agilt ramverk för projekthantering, tänkt att effektivisera systemutvecklingsarbete och maximera affärsnyttan, bland annat genom användadet av roller, så som en icke detaljstyrande projektledare (ScrumMaster), en engagerad produktägare (Product Owner), och en självständig systemutvecklargrupp med ett brett spektrum av färdigheter (Scrum Team). I följande uppsats ämnar vi att undersöka hur ett Scrum Team och deras arbete blir påverkade av att vara delaktiga i en Scrumimplementering. För att åstadkomma detta har vi genomfört en fallstudie med kvalitativa intervjuer, direktobservationer i arbetsmiljö samt insamlande av dokument. Förutom dessa källor har vi genomfört en expertintervju med en av grundarna bakom Scrum, Jeff Sutherland. Våra fynd tyder på att förändringarna inkluderar en rad faktorer, så som samarbete, transparens och kommunikation, men framför allt en ökning i självbestämmande och självständighet, samt en ökning av kollektivt ansvarstagande.

This thesis examines if commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) systems meet the needs in different types of organizations. This was investigated through a case study of a COTS system. The system is built for contact centers and used in different types of organizations. Contextual inquiries with users from six different organizations were held together with interviews with stakeholders of the system. This gave an understanding for how the system is used and the needs to be met in the different organizations were recognized.

Pharmaceuticals are environmental pollutants that are a major threat to aquatic ecosystems and very little is known about their ecological consequences. In this study growth, survival and behaviour (sociability, activity and boldness) of perch fry (Perca fluviatilis) were examined in order to study the possible effects of exposure to a benzodiazepine anxiolytic drug, Oxazepam, during embryonic development. The study tested following hypotheses: (1) perch growth is affected positively by exposure during embryonic development; (2) early perch survival is affected positively by exposure during embryonic development; and (3) boldness and activity increases while sociability decreases in perch fry exposed during embryonic development. Embryos of naturally spawned perch were exposed to water with two different concentrations of Oxazepam. The embryos were exposed during different parts (24-hour periods) of the embryonic development, because embryos may be more vulnerable at certain times during embryonic development and/or because the exposure at different times can produce different effects.
