In this work a study has been performed to show the different kinds of insulated balcony connections exists on the market. In the work there is also a short description of thermal bridges concerning balconies. A description of older solutions for balcony connections is given as well as a calculation of the difference in energy costs for a insulated balcony connection compared to the standard connection. The work includes a short description of the different products. After that there is a short information about their insulation properties, durability, acoustic performance, assembly, computer programme and a short analyses for each product..

Studiens syfte är att söka samband mellan studenters identitet och utbildningsområde, vidare att studera vilka faktorer som inverkar såsom personliga egenskaper, socioekonomisk bakgrund, värderingar, härkomst och genus. För att täcka detta syfte har studien följande forskningsfrågeställning: Hur ser ett eventuellt samband ut mellan studenters identitet och utbildning?Undersökningen utgår från en kvantitativ metod där en webbenkät e-postats till studenter på fyra olika utbildningar på Göteborgs Universitet. Resultaten tolkas först på ett kvantitativt synsätt, där resultatet visualiseras i diagram och tabeller. Vad dessa diagram och tabeller visar tolkas och analyseras sedan utifrån en mer kvalitativ analysmetod där författarna utgår från ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv, med fokus på Henri Tajfels teori om social identitet.Resultatet i undersökningen visar på ett samband mellan utbildning och identitet.

Background: First Line Managers are expected to create a health promoting work environment. Research has shown that the prerequisites for accomplishing a health promoting leadership are not always the best. Aim: The aim was to elucidate the prerequisites for a health promoting leadership as First Line Manager at a University hospital in Sweden based on competence, role, support structures and own durability. Results: First Line Managers at the chosen hospital seems to have rather good conditions for conducting a health promoting leadership. All respondents did have a university degree and most thought that their competence corresponded well with the role.

This report deals with hard surfaces and the factors which are behind the criteria for dimensioning, also dependent on the level, or volume, of traffic. A test was made on slabs of two kinds of natural stone. This was made to see if the values that were reached for breakload was transferable to the same tables that the concrete industry is using for surface dimensions of slabs and paving stones. The test showed very high values and the result, together with the written study, led to the author?s suggestion for a classification table where slabs of natural stone were divided in to different classes depending on traffic, thickness and durability..

Detta examensarbete pågick under fem veckor på SSAB i Luleå och behandlar två uppgifter. Den första uppgiften gick ut på att forska om tid för att på bästa sätt kunna tidsätta nätverksutrustning samt övervakningsplattformar på SSAB. Den andra uppgiften gick ut på att undersöka krav samt upplägg för övervakningsplattformen SCOM. För att kunna synkronisera tid används i huvudsak tre protokoll: NTP, SNTP samt PTP. Clustered Columnstore Indexes (CCI) and In-Memory Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) are two new techniques that were introduced with Microsoft?s new database management system SQL Server 2014.The thesis analyzes these two techniques, describes the theory behind them and also the background information that needs to be known to understand more of the new techniques. Performance tests of the new techniques have been performed to see how much faster response time we can get and less storage we need to use where the result is represented by performance diagrams and a compression diagram. This thesis is a cooperative work with a company called Trimma and the result is used as support to decide if these new techniques could be of advantage for the company.The test consists of five test queries with different purposes. The result is illustrated by diagrams that show the result and another diagram that shows how much the data gets compressed with the different techniques.
