Today, we use BKR and BBK 04 when designing concrete structures inSweden, which will, in the near future, be replaced by Eurocode 2. When you are designing buildings, you will use Eurocode 2 Part 1-1 and with this new standard, some new rules and general rules will be necessary to adopt. To examine how BKR and BBK 04 tells apart from Eurocode 2 when designing concrete structures, one beam and one column with often common dimensions, is studied. The beam is designed with consideration of (considerate to) durability at bending moments, shear forces and control of cracking. The column is designed with consideration of durability at eccentric axial load and bending moments in cross section on account of (due to) geometric imperfections. BBK 04 has gone one step closer to Eurocode 2 than earlier editions and the things that are different, when calculating reinforcement, is how they use the partial factors.

At the Division of Electricity at UppsalaUniversitythere are ongoing researches, including a research concerning turbo generators.Turbo generators produce a large share of electricity in the world; however they are costly mainly due to the fact that the cooling and ventilation that are needed to eliminate the excess heat from the generators are expensive. Turbo generators work with high efficiency and in this project, the main task is to simulate a generator while taking into account that the generator must be designed against self-oscillation, centrifugal force, exhaustion and heat. The turbo generator must be simulated without being too expensive and complicated.In this project, the dimensions of the turbo generator depend on the efficiency of it, and where the losses are in the generator. Furthermore, the optimum values need to be chosen with the help of the ACE simulation program. The report begins with an introduction describing the project followed by a task description that is dealing with the project.

Systemet som förenklar hantering och information av tidrapportering, projekt, kunder, lager och anställda. Syftet är att företaget skall få en mera överblick över deras verksamhet, då all information samlas på samma ställe. De anställda kan via webben snabbt och enkelt rapportera in deras arbetstider under den gångna veckan. Systemet innefattar: SMS-tjänst, automatiskt utskick, hanteringen för lager, projekt, kunder och semester, kontinuerlig statistik med grafiska diagram samt utskriftsfunktioner. Allt är utvecklat i PHP och MySQL..

Syftet med examensprojektet var att märka upp rör och ventiler så att operatörerna lättare kunde identifiera dem. Samt lära sig jämföra en PID (Process and Instruments Diagram) med verkligheten och kunna förstå hur en indunstning fungerar. När vi kom till Lantmännen Agroetanol så fick man reda på några uppgifter som man skulle lösa. Som t.ex markera rör och ventiler. Men även göra massbalanser av vad som flödar in fysiskt samt även elektroniskt vad som händer i indunstning.

Syftet med undersökningen är att undersöka, beskriva och analysera kring hur vida det finns ett bra substitut till bomull. Undersökningen kommer att belysa hur marknaden ser ut i dag och vilka material som används. Vidare utreds parametrarna funktion, kundnytta och hållbarhet, som kan komma att spela roll i valet av material för producenter av yrkeskläder. I dagsläget finns det inget solklart val av material som skulle kunna mäta sig med bomullen gällande de parametrarna som uppsatsen tar upp. Vad man väljer att använda istället för bomull beror mycket på hur företagen väljer att fokusera gällande just funktion, kundnytta och hållbarhet.

The question formulation for this work has been "is an ice-hockey audience influenced by music during time-outs in a game?". The method was to observe one period with Färjestads BK and Mora IK, but a recording was also made, together with a conversation with the arena DJ. From the recording, the audience reactions were graded from a given scale. The grades were compilated to a diagram that shows the audience reactions in relation to the time, from the first face-off to the final whistle.

This thesis for the Master of Science degree was performed at Solectron Corporation in Norrköping. The background for the thesis was a need to develop and build two test fixtures to automatize testing and adjusting of transmitter modules (TX-fixture) and receiver modules (RX-fixture) which are head devices in DWDM-systems. The basic elements for the test fixtures are: Test board, switch board and DC/DC board. The main function of the test board is to handle communication between the transmitter and receiver modules and supply voltage to these modules. The test board was insufficient and modified with a microprocessor to handle the communication between the PC and the receiver module.

The purpose of this study was to investigate which kind of arguments that were used during the debate before the law of sexual services was introduced in Sweden. The study refers to the debate which was in the Swedish parliament The study has been structured the arguments in different categories.  The study has not found other researchers about the debate in the Swedish parliament. The study has just found several studies about the prostitution problem in general. The method for this study has been idea centered content analysis.

Several previous studies have in different ways tried to explain how new social movements are affected by the different sets of political and social contexts within different states and societies. This essay asks the question how much the institutional aspects within the theory of Political Opportunity Structures (POS) have determined how the rather successful animal rights movements in the Netherlands and Great Britain have mobilized and acted to gain progress. Since the Netherlands and Great Britain contains different kinds of political and institutional contexts, these two states are found to be suitable for a comparative analysis of the theory's durability. A qualitative portrayal of both state's institutional political opportunity structures are presented. Then the mobilization, progress, and actions of the political party ?Party for the Animals? in the Netherlands, and a wide group of animal rights organisations in Great Britain are determined.

In the end of the 80´s the area of system development moved into a new era. As a consequence many new methods and development models emerged which in many cases resulted in problems when choosing system development models and methods. As a result of these problems the today standardized modeling language UML (Unified Modeling Language) was created. UML is tailored to support many different types of projects. This is possible because of UML?s capacity to be adjusted and adapted to a specific company environment.The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to investigate how and why companies use UML and what experiences and opinions those who use UML have of using UML in practice.

Potentialen för nyttiggörandet av spillvärme hos två metallindustrier utvärderas. Det ena företaget härdar stål med vatten och det andra gjuter aluminiumtackor i vattenbad och sprayar även vatten som bildar fuktig luft. Vattnet, ej det sprayade, kyls sedan i kyltorn för att kunna återanvändas i processerna.Sankey-diagram för båda företagen presenteras för att tydligt presentera energiflödena i processerna. Värmeåtervinningsförslag presenteras med gasolkostnadsbesparings exempel. Investeringskostnader och återbetalningstider har ej utvärderats.Teoridelen och metoden är användbar för den som vill utvärdera potentialen för värmeåtervinning hos industrier som använder vatten i olika typer av kylprocesser.

Då det köptes in ny utrustning för kalibrering av värmestrålningsmätare till SP, Brandteknik, fanns det ett önskemål om att effektivisera proceduren vid kalibreringen. Vid kalibrering med den befintliga hård- och mjukvaran finns många manuella moment som skulle kunna reduceras.I detta projekt har ett styrprogram utvecklats i programmeringsspråket LabVIEW. Programmet använder ett seriellt kommunikationsprotokoll för att styra den kontroller som reglerar temperaturen i kalibreringsugnen. Programmet ställer in de temperaturnivåer som ska ingå i kalibreringen, upp till tio stycken, och kontrollerar när temperaturen har stabiliserat sig. När den gjort det tas ett antal mätpunkter ut och sparas till en resultatfil.

SammanfattningBakgrundFrån och med år 2005 måste alla börsnoterade förvaltningsfastighetsbolag redovisa sina fastigheter till verkligt värde enligt IAS 40. En värdering till verkligt värde motsvarar det värde som fastigheten har på marknaden vid värderingstillfället. En korrekt värdering innebär att det värderade värdet överrenstämmer med försäljningsvärdet.ProblemTrots införandet av IAS 40 redovisar de flesta bolagen realiserade värdeförändringar som utgörs av skillnaden mellan värderat värde och försäljningsvärde. I vår studie ska vi undersöka tänkbara orsaker till varför dessa värdeförändringar uppkommer och om företagen medvetet värderar exempelvis för lågt.UndersökningFör att utreda ovanstående problem ska vi undersöka realiserade värdeförändringar hos alla svenska börsnoterade fastighetsbolag under åren 2005-2007. Detta har vi gjort genom att granska bolagens årsredovisningar samt redan skriven teori inom ämnet.
