Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur man som förälder påverkas av att ha ett barn som missbrukar narkotika, vilket stöd föräldrarna har fått från olika instanser de har kommit i kontakt med i samband med barnets missbruk samt vad som skulle utgöra det optimala stödet enligt föräldrarna. Med studiens syfte som utgångspunkt valdes en kvalitativ forskningsansats och insamling av empiriskt material skedde genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. Tidigare forskning inom området är tydligt begränsad, dock visar forskning som finns att stöd till anhöriga är ett eftersatt område. Studiens resultat visar att föräldrarnas vardagsliv har påverkats dramatiskt då barnets missbruk har fört med sig negativa konsekvenser både praktiskt, ekonomiskt, känslomässigt och socialt. Resultatet visar på en brist av stöd från framförallt socialtjänsten.

This project aims to explore fear of violence in public places. Fear of violence reminds us that there is a problem in our urban environment that leads to spatial consequences in using public space. Many groups in our society experience fear in their everyday life but this project has focus on women?s fear.

Narkotika- och alkoholmissbruk är ett hälsoproblem i hela världen och nyktra missbrukare är en utsatt grupp i samhället. Vid missbruk är det inte bara intaget av narkotikan eller alkoholen som medför skada. Hela livssituationen kan bli drabbad, inte minst kontakten med vänner och familj. För att hålla sig nykter, återanpassa sig till samhället och leva ett hälsosamt liv finns det många faktorer som är betydelsefulla. Syftet med studien var därför att undersöka nyktra missbrukares upplevelser av socialt stöd, fritidsaktiviteter samt utanförskap och delaktighet i samhället.

This is a field study based on participant observations and interviews, describing the cooking teacher's complex everyday life. The school's restaurant is a unique arena, freely hovering between two worlds: The school world and the restaurant reality. Here, the students are confronted with real situations and problems, similar to the ones occurring in a restaurant, still having the school's safety net beneath them. It is for real, but still not, a bit like a flight simulator.It is on that arena the cooking teacher works, combining the two roles of the teacher and the chef. Two roles built on their own traditions and values.

Our purpose was to investigate the schools and the social welfare´s experiences of Roman children´s school situation in a Scanian town. We have done a qualitative investigation, interviewing 14 persons from both school and social welfare. Through the interviews we wanted to find the factors which influences the Roman pupils schooling and which efforts the professionals has to their disposition to influence these children´s school situation in a positive direction.The main result of our study is that the majority of the Romans is an isolated group, both in the Swedish school system and in the society. The Romans got access to the Swedish comprehensive school first in 1965, which implies that the Romans have a young school tradition. Most of the Roman pupils have a high absent, which is grounded in a complex of problems.

ADHD är ett neuropsykiatriskt funktionshinder som drabbar var 20.e barn i Sverige och symtomen kvarstår ofta i vuxen ålder. Riktlinjer för behandlingen av barn finns men för vuxna råder viss osäkerhet, speciellt vad gäller läkemedelsbehandling. Den här studien avser att undersöka om fler läkemedel borde godkännas för behandlingen av ADHD hos vuxna i Sverige. Det är en litteratur studie och materialet har samlats in främst från vetenskapliga artiklar men även från olika myndigheter såsom läkemedelsverket (LMA), socialstyrelsen (SOS), Europeiska läkemedelsmyndigheten (EMA) samt U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The use for wireless communicationsystems within the forestry is among other things to report the production from the forest machines, to supply the machine opera-tors with the right information and for safety. CDMA2000/ 450 is a third generation mobilecommunicationsystem which could replace the old NMT- 450 and for comparatively low costs. The reason for the low costs is that you only have to use the old NMT- 450 masts and supply them with new equipment. In the test of CDMA2000/450, that has taken place in northern Uppland, two kind of files have been sent.

 Every day media reports acts of violence in various kinds. Crime statistics shows that threats and violence are increasing in regard to both frequency and intensity within the nation. Nurses in the ambulance service are often the first to meet with a patient, therefore these nurses often find themselves in situations where violence and threats occur or have occurred. Drug addiction or some kind of illness are often reasons behind threats and violence.Earlier studies within this area of knowledge are mostly foreign and therefore little describes Swedish nurses` experiences of threats and violence within the ambulance service.The purpose of this study was to describe nurses experiences of threats and violence in the meeting with patients within the ambulance service.The study is a qualitative interview study performed within the School of Life Sciences at the University of Skövde. Six nurses were interviewed with the criterion that they should have experienced threats and violence within their occupation.

Shear Strength and Deformation Characteristics of Uppsala Clay with CRS and Standard OedometerTyra Morell Bonin & Magdalena MählerTo see how much a clay compact under different pressure one can use several different methods and in this project, two methods were used, the Standard Oedometer and a CRS apparatus. A Standard Oedometer is a full-time manual device and the CRS apparatus is a modern electric and automatic device. The aim of the project was to see similarities and differences between the two methods and examine which method that were most reliable. This has been done with repeated laboratory tests and afterward evaluations. With this information one can get a picture of how the clay will behave and how it will deform in nature.

Information about the risks involved shall be distributed to the people living in the area nearby to potentially dangerous installation. Swedish law stipulates strict requirements on what information should be supplied, but the law itself does not give any guidance on presentation. The main purpose of the study is to give recommendations on how to improve the information brochures. Within the study, eight people working with risk information have been interviewed and seven different risk information brochures have been studied. Also, a theoretical analysis and a practical experiment were performed using brochures from two municipalities.

The purpose of this project was to further develop and complete a quadcopter that had been built in an earlier course at KTH, so that it could be used for demonstration and education at the school. The quadcopter was at the beginning of the project completed when it came to hardware, and there was some software functionality implemented but no system for automatic stabilization. The main goal of the project was to implement such a system, and to combine it with the previous functionality to make the quadcopter operable and able to fly. To create a functioning and stable ground multiple basic software features has been implemented, and on top of that additional software to improve the safety, stability and functionality. The most important part is the control system that is responsible for converting sensor and control signals to suitable motor values.

This master thesis presents a Model for Evaluating and Managing Interruption Risks in connection with Business Continuity Planning (BCP), developed for Swedwood International. The model consists of a template with instructions. The model should be easily understood and useful for establishing a plan for BCP. The use of chainsaws in both private forestry and commercial companies is highly associated with personal injuries and accidents with deadly outcome. As a result to this, a driver?s license for chainsaws was presented in the year 2005. To get the license you have to attend a course given by the Swedish Forest Agency or one of several private educators. This study is an evaluation of one course given by the Swedish Forest Agency in Uppsala.
