Abstract:Perennials in public areas have during the latest decades been more and more popular. This group of plants has become a more accepted komponent when creating pleasant public places, and people begin to see the functional aspects. Perennials do also give a colour- and senceexperience in a more detailed way than can be achieved with only trees and shrubs. One of the ojects of this essay is to give more examples of motives for using perennials in urban areas.Having in mind the increasing use of perennials, you can expect a growing need for better understading of how to create successfull perennial plantings. In spite of the increasing interest it is hard to find any written information in this subject.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts vid Mälarenergi Elnät AB i Västerås. Undersökningen föranleddes av regeringsbeslutet om att elmätare måste avläsas en gång per månad från 2009. Konsekvensen för Mälarenergi är att de måste investera i ett automatiskt mätinsamlingssystem. Syftet med projektet har varit att skapa en generell investeringsmodell för att ekonomiskt utvärdera ett antal mätinsamlingssystem. I rapporten har Milabs, Seneas, Enermets, HM Powers, Iprobes samt Techems och Viterras system analyserats.

Biogasanläggningar, som behandlar fler än en typ av substrat, så kallade samrötningsanläggningar, är relativt unga anläggningar. De första byggdes under tidigt 90-tal och står idag för omkring 28% av Sveriges totala biogasproduktion. Felaktigt inkommande material och det matavfall som tas in som substrat ställer höga krav på anläggningarnas utrustning, med därtill kopplade problem. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att genom intervjuer genomföra en kartläggning av befintliga tekniska och processrelaterade problem för två biogasanläggningar med samrötning samt en förbehandlingsanläggning. För att undersöka alternativa tekniker och utrustningar till identifierade problem genomfördes litteraturstudier och kontakt togs med leverantörer av biogasutrustning.

Övervikt och fetma beror till stor del på ändrade levnadsvanor och är ett problem att ta på största allvar eftersom fetma kan leda till allvarliga följdsjukdomar och sänkt livskvalitet. Preventiva åtgärder är nödvändiga för att hindra den fortsatta fetmaepidemin och här kan sjuksköterskan fylla en viktig funktion som stödjare och rådgivare för obesa personer. Syftet är att beskriva vuxna obesa personers upplevelser och hantering av viktnedgång. Metoden som använts är litteraturbaserade studier av åtta kvalitativa artiklar. De obesa personernas upplevelser framkommer i tre teman. Upplevelser innan viktnedgång beskriver olika stadier som obesa personer genomgår innan de beslutar sig för viktnedgång samt beskriver även upplevelser av fördömande attityder.

On board ships different type of maintenance activities take place. Some of those require working with vibrating handheld tools. Traditionally there is a high awareness of the risks with different type of duties such as protecting the skin from oil or other chemicals, the eyes from splashes and hearing from high noise levels. The experience we have from our time as on-board cadets are that there is less information about vibration hazards available compared to the information concerning other hazards on board.There are threshold values that workers, by law, are not allowed to exceed when working with handheld vibrating tools. The purpose of this study is to investigate how common the use of this type of equipment that can cause damage by vibrations, to the hands and arm amongst the deck crew, and if the crew informed about the risks involved.

A manufacturing machine at the engineering company Sandvik Coromant has a positioning table which task is to move an item linearly. The positioning table has a linear motor capable of high velocity and acceleration. This makes it possible to achieve short cycle times and a more profitable production.The purpose of this thesis is to bring forward a new concept which is more adapted to the requirements of the positioning table. The reason is that the current positioning table provides an unnecessarily positioning accuracy of 0.01 mm, while the requirement for the positioning accuracy is just 0.1 mm. The goal is to reduce manufacturing and component costs.To develop a suitable solution an approach for the concept development process has been performed.

Uppsatsen visar resultatet av en kartläggning och analys av datakvaliteten i databasen Vägdatabanken på Vägverket. Vi har studerat datakvaliteten som den visar sig hos slutanvändarna, i detta fall de som upphandlar drift och underhåll av statliga vägar. Målet var att se hur väl Vägverkets krav på data stämmer överens med användarnas behov. För att nå målet skapades en modell med sju faser. Centralt var kartläggningen av verksamheten med hjälp av intervjuer, som blev grunden för vidare analyser.

Hälsovalsenheter är idag beroende av en fungerande IT-infrastruktur för att kunna fullfölja sina arbetsuppgifter på ett professionellt och effektivt sätt. Störningar i drift och tillgänglighet av information kan skada patienter och verksamheten. Socialstyrelsens föreskrifter SOSFS 2008:14 förpliktigar privata vårdgivare, däribland hälsovalsenheter att arbeta aktivt med informationssäkerhet och att etablera en informationssäkerhetspolicy. Problematiken som ansvariga för detta arbete kan stöta på är många, bland annat att bristfällig utbildning eller avsatta resurser. En informationssäkerhetspolicy kan referera till olika dokument som berör informationssäkerheten.

The cat has evolutionary become an obligate carnivore. Today it is common to feed the cat a dry food. Studies have shown that the dry formula can have negative consequences for the cat. A literature study where conducted to investigate whether the cats origin makes it incapable to compensate for the changes a dry food entails. The impact and implications regarding water intake, energy intake and blood glucose concentration when feeding the cat dry food where examined.

Intresset för att bygga gårdsslakterier ökar i Sverige, likaså efterfrågan på närproducerade livsmedel till följd av ökad medvetenhet bland konsumenter. Att bygga ett gårdsslakteri är intressant både ur ett ekonomiskt perspektiv och ur ett perspektiv på mjuka värden, men frågan är om det går att få lönsamhet i verksamheten. Den svenska lammuppfödningen är sedan länge utsatt för dålig lönsamhet. Att bygga ett eget slakteri för de egna djuren och sälja sina produkter direkt till konsument borde därför vara en möjlighet för mindre gårdar. Projektets mål har varit att genom kvalitativa intervjuer av ägare till gårdsslakterier och upprättande av kalkyler utreda lönsamheten i småskalig lammslakt vid investering av ett gårdsslakteri. Uppsatsens litteraturstudie har inriktats på att ta reda på allt som krävs för att starta ett gårdsslakteri gällande bland annat byggnad, regelverk och tillstånd. Av det framkomna resultatet har jag dragit slutsatsen att det är möjligt att uppnå lönsamhet vid byggnation av gårdsslakteri för småskalig slakt av lamm.

For over 40 years, there's been a debate in Sweden of whether it's good or bad with maintenance therapy for heroin addicts. This method is far more acknowledged in other parts of Europe and in USA. The aim of this paper was to explore how public actors manifest their thoughts concerning the subject of the substitution program in Sweden. This approach includes the complex of problems that can be found in statements and the discourses that these operators stand for and support. In my analysis the philosophical thread was principally based on Michael Foucault ideas, but also on other theories related to social constructionism.

The main goal with the master thesis has been to do a status evaluation of the chain machinery with its start chain and wire to secure the production on a short basis due to that a reconstruction is not planned at this time. An evaluation of the condition of the start chain and the rollers in the chain depository has been done. An offer has been requested for a new start chain and the evaluation of the start chains may be a basis for the decision taking. The production has been able to go on, although it has arisen some problems which have been difficult to find the causes for. There is no gathered ?picture? of the machinery status and a mapping of each machinery has been compiled of comprehensive logs.

The purpose of this study is to find out how IOGT-NTO conducted the debate about the Swedish negotiations with EU concerning the accession. The essay investigates how the debate was conducted between the years 1993, 1994 and 1995. A further distinction lies in five requirements IOGT-NTO delivered before the negotiations.The material for this study lies primarily in the editorial pages of IOGT-NTO's magazine Accent. The background content comes primarily from secondary sources and deals with the temperance movement and IOGT-NTO, and dealing with the EU and the Swedish alcohol policy.In July 1991, Sweden submitted its membership application to EU and subsequently in the 1993 the negotiations began. During the same time IOGT-NTO began its debate on a possible EU membership in the Accent magazine.

SCA is the largest private owned forest owner in Sweden, with an ownership of 2 million hectares of productive forestland. To manage the planning of such large areas and to fit the traditional organization structure of a Swedish forest company, the planning approach is subdivided into three stages; strategic, tactical and operational. The strategic part, based on a statistic sample of stands, returns a harvest level estimate which should then be implemented at actual sites in the tactical part. This procedure can lead to incompatible solutions as the strategic solution is not necessarily possible to translate into actual sites in the tactical plan. The geographic aspect is important in tactical planning due to the large costs for moving equipment and maintenance of a large number of forest roads.
