INTERNATIONELLA POSITIONER OCH NATIONELL KORRUPTION En kvantitativ studie om icke-permanent medlemskap i FN:s s?kerhetsr?d och upplevd korruption
Previous research has shown that non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council is associated with increased international influence, diplomatic leverage, andexternal resource flows. However, existing studies have primarily focused on the external consequences of membership, while its potential domestic effects remain largely unexplored. Drawing upon a principal-agent perspective, this study examines whether membership in the Security Council is associated with higher levels of perceived corruption. The studyinvestigates whether Security Council membership may alter domestic incentive structures by increasing political actors? access to resources and strategic opportunities.
Giftskåpet: Praktik och princip
The aim of this thesis is to examine the historical use of "poison cabinets", or restricted shelves, in Swedish libraries. Drawing upon the theories of Mary Douglas and Michel Foucault, it also seeks to sketch a cultural and ideological context of the practice; with the emphasis on social or mental hygiene, and disciplinary aspects. Through qualitative interviews as well as digitalized recordings of librarians active during the first half of the 20th century, actual examples of poison cabinets are presented. A closer examination is conducted of past collections at Lund University Library, and two large public libraries situated in Växjö and Sigtuna. The essay also investigates views on library censorship, controversial literature, and other related subjects reflected in th elibrary press during the period 1916-1979.

AbstractTitle: Accounting firms´ view on the (new law) in joint-stock companiesCourse: Business Administration, Financial Accounting in Corporations and Groups, Ad-vanced Course, 15 ECTSAuthors: Mikaela Uveby, Shadi Nourbehesht, Almira DizdarevicAdvisor: Kent TrosanderProblem: During the last few years, more importance and emphasis has been put on auditors and accounting in general due to a number of company and business scandals on both national and international levels. The United States as well as the EU consid-ered it a necessity to make regulations stricter when it comes to auditing and ac-counts in order to increase the public trust to accounting. At January 1st, 2007, Sweden also changed its law concerning accounting firm challenges. The new law states that as soon as someone of the auditor?s co-workers assists a client with some part of the basic bookkeeping, the main bookkeeping or the Drawing-up of the an-nual account, the challenge situation becomes a fact.Purpose: The purpose of the essay is to examine and inquire into how the renewed law con-cerning accounting firm challenges, that was established and put to action at Janu-ary 1st, 2007, has affected accounting firms.Method: The writers have chosen to complete qualitative interviews in order to get a deeper insight to and an understanding of the topic. Conclusion: One year after the renewal of the law, the writers have reached the conclusion of that the new law has not had a great impact on the accounting firms.

Lost in place : on place theory and landscape architecture
Place is on the one hand a commonsense everyday word with diversely connotative meanings, and on the other a contested concept with different interpretations across a broad range of academic disciplines and discourses. This thesis researches theories of place and their implications for the theory and design practice of landscape architecture. Responding to problems of insufficient theoretical grounding and inconsistent use of the concept of place within the discipline presently, it argues the need for a theory of place better articulated in relation to landscape architecture. It seeks to contribute to such theory formation by Drawing on ideas from related disciplines ? tracing diverse understandings of place beyond the commonsense meanings of the word and into the deeper reaches of place theory as tools to explain physical, social and spiritual aspects of the environment, and human relationships with it.
"Än en fågel, än en blomma" : En tematisk och dialogisk studie av ungmör och skaldinnor i Anna Maria Lenngrens dikter.
Anna Maria Lenngren (1754-1817) is known as one of Stockholms Posten?s sharpest satirists. Over the years many literature researchers have based their analysis and interpretations on biographical facts. This means that we miss important parts of her authorship, as she almost exceptionally has been writing role-poems. In a role-poem, the author takes a role as a fictitious narrative subject and/or another poem character.

N?r staten talar om kris och krig : En analys av broschyren ?Om krisen eller kriget kommer? 1943-2024
This study examines how the Swedish state has communicated security, threats, and citizen responsibility to the population through different versions of thebrochures ?If Crisis or War Comes?. Drawing on securitization theory and UlrichBeck?s theory of the risk society, the study analyzes how threat perceptions, protected referent objects, and the role attributed to individuals have changed overtime. The analysis is based on a deductive qualitative content analysis of sixbrochures published in 1943, 1952, 1961, 1989, 2018, and 2024.The findings demonstrate a clear transformation in the construction of threats, shifting from a predominant focus on conventional military conflict during theSecond World War and the Cold War to a more diversified threat landscape in thetwenty-first century, including societal disruptions, propaganda, cyber threats, environmental risks, and pandemics.
Den övertygande reklamen? : En analys av Pripps Blå och Norrlands Gulds reklambilder
Modern societies are generally becoming increasingly capitalist in nature and economies of these societies are thus likely to become more focused on consumer consumption. Advertising plays a vital role in contemporary society where we, as consumers and citizens, are surrounded by it everywhere we look and everywhere we go. This puts pressure on advertisers to become more creative and to explore new ways of marketing their products and services in an already saturated environment. We believe that the added pressure and the already established role of marketing in society make advertisements an interesting and telling object for analysis. This is particularly the case with regards to the concept of selling and marketing products that have qualities that are known to be less than beneficial for our health. This paper analyzes four commercial advertisements marketing beer; a product that we argue has qualities that can be seen as potentially bad for the health of individuals and for societies.

In Dirty Weekend the protagonist tries to shoot her way out, claiming revenge on every man that is forcing himself upon her. She gains some freedom of movement by refusing subordination, but does not really change the order of power.

ATT ANV?NDA POPUL?RKULTUR SOM ROP P? HJ?LP: En kvalitativ studie om hur hiphop-musiken i Sverige anv?nds som identitetsskapande och verklighetsskildrande
Hip-hop music has long been an expressive medium used by individuals from marginalized areas in
Sweden to address social issues and shape their identities. Through interviews with Swedish hip-hop
artists and analysis of lyrics, this bachelor thesis explores the self-expression of the artists and how they
express their views of society. It focuses on how social problems are expressed and understood, as well
as on how the artists view the depiction of contemporary Swedish hip-hop music in media. Additionally,
the study investigates how hip-hop artists themselves perceive the significance of their music lyrics.
Furthermore, I explore the impact of music on the identity of hip-hop artists from marginalized areas, as
perceived by the artists themselves. To gain a comprehensive understanding, the ethnographic study
employs semi-structured interviews and participant observation with four non-ethnically Swedish hiphop
artists who live or have grown up in disadvantaged areas in Sweden.
