Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva vilka natursyner som förmedlas i barnfilmerna Happy Feet (2006) och Wall-e (2008). Detta för att undersöka om de kan användas inom utbildning för hållbar utveckling i förskolan. Det har utförts en ekokritisk studie av materialet med ett idé- och ideologikritiskt perspektiv. Denna studie har utförts i strävan efter att bidra med ny forskning för området utbildning för hållbar utveckling inom förskolan, då det är ett tunt utforskat område.Resultatet av studien är att den antropocentriska natursynen dominerat i båda filmerna, men att de samtidigt ifrågasätts mellan raderna. Slutsatsen av studien är att innehållet i filmerna går att använda som underlag för undervisning, till exempel för att kunna föra en diskussion i barngrupp om natursyner..

AbstractThis report intends through a case study to investigate if lightweight concrete isappropriate as main material in the outer wall of a seven storey residential building.A technical design is carried out in accordance with the definitions and requirementsfor passive houses, given by FEBY?s1 ?Demand specification for passive houses?.A literature review is also carried out for a comparison between regular bolt wall andlight weight concrete wall, with a focus on the safety of moisture.The lightweight concrete block used in the report is as a celblock produced by thecompany H+H Sweden AB.The methods used have resulted in compliance with requirements andrecommendations from authorities. Calculations of energy, noise and moisture riskassessment has been carried out.The work has resulted in the conclusion that the lightweight concrete itself is notable to isolate in the extent necessary to obtain chosen U-value of 0,1 W/m2 ° C,without getting to thick. Therefore additional insulation is needed. There are fewrelevant reference objects built with only light weight concrete.

This essay concerns the fantastic and its position in narration. The fantastic's defintion is based on Martin Horstkotte's defintion in The Postmodern Fantastic and the essay focuses on the noncontextual aspects such as the clash between two incompatible fictional worlds and the absence created. Instead of the ordinary identification of the established fictional world with realism and our reality it is suggested that both of the colliding fictional worlds are fictive and that the established one not necessarily need to be realistic. Exampels on how the fantastic takes place on the syntagmatic level in a narration is drawn from the short story ?Samvetets fantasi? by Clas Livijn when analysed with Peter Brooks' closurebased narratology theory in Reading for the Plot.

Med hjälp av klusteranalys och neo-aristotelisk analysmetod, görs en jämförande analys för att söka efter skillnader och likheter i Clintons retoriska tillvägagångssätt. Materialet består av två tal som hölls vid det demokratiska konventet; 1996 (i egenskap av first lady) och 2008 (i egenskap av senator). Resultatet diskuteras sedan utifrån det genusrelaterade begreppet double bind. Analysresultatet visar på en utveckling i Clintons retorik, som generat ett stärkt primärt ethos.

This Master thesis is about a postal- and telegraphic building in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The construction methods for the specific building and buildings in general from the same time are described. The purpose of the report is to describe the loads acting on the building and how it has been built and why it has been rebuilt during the years. After this, possibilities of reconstruction and adaptation for today?s demands can be evaluated.

En annan utgångspunkt är den kognitiva vetenskapens forskning kring människans motiv bakom hennes handlande, samt svårigheter med att bryta invanda mönster. Detta tillsammans med företagsledningens önskan om konstant kompetensutveckling av personalen har resulterat i en undersökning som söker svar på huruvida det är möjligt att genom incitament förändra organisationer och dess medlemmars beteende på ett effektivt sätt. Argyris och Schöns teori kring ?double loop learning? kopplas samman med klassiska motivationsteorier, och baserat på kvalitativ datainsamling på två fallföretag undersöks huruvida denna koppling står att finna i praktiken.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of learning on open-field activity among pre-school children varying from 3 to 5 years old. Altogether 25 children, 13 girls and 12 boys, entered the test from three different preschools in Dalarna. Six of these children represented the control group. The children were asked to learn 2 tasks, 1 visual memory task and 1 spatial constructing-kit task. Before, between and after the tasks, the children were allowed to move freely in the open field.

There is convincing research which shows that the enzyme alkaline phosphatase (ALP) has a central role in the mineralization of bone, more precisely that its catalytic activity is needed in the process. ALP is found on the surface of matrix vesicles where the mineral is formed. One theory about the function of the enzyme is that it binds to fibrous collagen in the bone and thereby incorporating the mineral into the bone. The purpose of this study is to establish whether ALP binds to collagen. If this is the case, more elaborate studies around this will be performed.

The aim of this thesis is to ascertain if women are discriminated in the European Parliament, and if so, how it is expressed. Our hypothesis is that female members of the parliament suffer a kind of double discrimination. The European Parliament consists of roughly one third women, but nevertheless the discrimination does not end there. According to our hypothesis women do not have the same opportunity to influence as their male colleagues, hence the double discrimination.The results of this thesis show that women are discriminated, mainly by not gaining access to the European Union's important issues, whilst the female dominated issues are scheduled on late evening and at the end of a session week. Another unsatisfactory issue was that even though half of the reports were given by women, they only received one third of the references to their reports while men received two thirds of the references.

Första linjens ledares roll har under de senaste åren blivit mer ansvarskrävande. Vad är då viktigt för ledare i denna position då det kommer till att åstadkomma förändring? Finns det några utmaningar första linjens ledare stöter på? Denna studie syftar till att belysa första linjens ledares upplevelse av att leda en förändringsprocess. Två frågeställningar skapades; ?Vad anser första linjens ledare som viktigt i sitt ledarskap för att kunna åstadkomma förändring?? samt ?Vilka utmaningar möter första linjens ledare i en förändringsprocess??.

The degree project includes 22,5 credits.The work is done on behalf of Etac Supply Center AB in Anderstorp. Etac is a company developing and manufacturing home health care products, with operation in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, England and Germany, and with sales worldwide. Bo Lindqvist, R & D manager has been the contact person at Etac.During the project the students has had a workplace at Semcon Caran AB in Karlstad. Semcon has also been helpful as a sounding board.The objective of the work has been developing a new, wall mounted shower chair, assigned for persons with difficulty to stand up while showering.Etacs requirement of the shower chair is that it should be able to support a user with a weight of 100 kg, the chair shouldn?t have any outrigger, optional should be armrests and backrest.
