Background: Cancer-related pain is a major problem worldwide. Studies indicate that patients do not get an adequate pain relief. This creates a large suffering and results in major problems for the patient and their families. In order to minimize this kind of suffering caregivers need to understand how cancer-related pain is experienced by these patients, what it does to them and how it impacts their daily life.  Aim: The aim of this study was to describe patients´ experience of living with cancer-related pain.

When the Internet was established in the early 1990`s the daily press got a new market to act on. Contacts with readers was strengthened through the internet and as the years went by interactivity became increasingly important ? both for editorial and audience. One of the most common and most accessible forms of interaction is polls. This paper has examined within what contexts the newspapers are using polls ? in other words in what values of news criteria?s do the articles connected to a vote belong to.

Regardless of what discipline nurses work in, wound care is one of the tasks. Caring for wounds involves early detection of signs of infection, in order to avoid complication. Wound infection extends suffering for the patient and causes unnecessary costs for society. The aim was to describe how nurses can identify infection in wounds. Method: The design of the study was a literature review, where13 scientific articles were examined and analyzed.

Bakgrund: Möten mellan patient och sjuksköterska inom akutsjukvården är alla unika, korta och ibland intensiva. Patienter som vistas inom denna miljö på grund av oväntad skada eller sjukdom, kan vara sårbara och hjälplösa. Syfte: Att belysa hur patienten upplevde mötet med sjuksköterskan, i ambulansen och på akutmottagningen. Metod: Litteraturöversikt av 15 kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier. Resultat: Presenterades i två teman; Professionellt förhållningssätt samt Kommunikation och information, med sex subteman.

Hjärt- kärlsjukdomarna är idag den vanligaste dödsorsaken, av vilken hjärtinfarkt är den mest förekommande. Rökning är en av de stora riskfaktorerna och risken att återinsjukna kan halveras efter ett år om man slutar att röka. Professionellt stöd kan behövas för att sluta röka. Syftet med studien var att beskriva patientens upplevelse av sjuksköterskans stöd i samband med att försöka sluta röka efter en genomgången hjärtinfarkt. En kvalitativ ansats med semistrukturerade intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod genomfördes.

Aim: The aim of this study was to study through papers if early intervention of children and adolescents with deaf-blindness can be facilitated through early intervention programs, cochlear implants (CI) and communication strategies.Method: The method that we used was a literature study of scientific articles through Pubmed and Cinahl databases. The articles reference lists were also studied which lead to that more papers were found.Results: Children and adolescents with deaf-blindness can benefit from early intervention programs, when their caregivers were educated to give appropriate response to the children?s behavior. The interaction between children and their caregivers can improve through an early intervention model. Children and adolescents with Deafblindness have variable results from CI.

The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis is to contribute to theunderstanding of the headmaster´s view of his role when it comes to developing the school library and in particular the work of integrating the library into the teaching. The basis is three questions: What views do the headmasters express regarding the libraries´ main functions? What views do the headmasters express regarding their own importance for the school libraries´ pedagogical role? How do the headmasters regard the interaction between teachers and librarians, as to how the interaction works? To get answers to these questions we conducted semi-structured interviews with headmasters of secondary schools. As a theoretical starting point, we used our own taxonomy for headmasters. The basis of our taxonomy are from the points by the ?Svenska biblioteksföreningen? and ?Kungliga biblioteket?, which together form a description of a school library integrated in the school curricula.

Background: Insufficient nutritional support is associated with prolonged hospitalisation, impaired wound healing and impaired survival for patients in intensive care. In severe sepsis and septic chock, calculation of nutritional need is complicated since the metabolism is affected by decease. Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate nutritional support and to examine the quality of nursing documentation of nutritional status and nutritional support in patient records in severe sepsis and septic chock.  Method: The study was conducted as a retrospective investigation where 64 patient records were studied. The quality of documentation was examined in 10 patient records using an examinational model.Findings: Calculation of average nutritional support showed insufficient supply particularly in the two first days of intensive care. During the next five days nutritional supply was higher but individual variation was seen, why a clear picture of nutritional support is hard to detect.

This study is a formative evaluation of a prototypecollaboratory for sharing data collection instruments inlibrary and information science (LIS). The aims were to findout: how the study participants, five hospital librarians,experienced the interaction with the prototype while workingwith predetermined tasks; and their views on the differentfunctions of the prototype collaboratory.Methods used for data collection was as a survey; followedby a think-aloud session where the participant verbalisedhis/her thoughts during the interaction with the prototype;and finally a semistructured interview. The survey wasanalysed with a frequency distribution, while the data fromthe other methods were analysed qualitatively by extractingthemes from the transcribed sessions.The results show that although the librarians expresseddifferent problems while working with the interface, mainlyrelated to the language in the prototype collaboratory anddifficulties with the page for applying metadata, all of themwere confident in being able to learn the system after using itfor a while. The librarians had a positive attitude towardssharing data collection instruments as well as comments inthe prototype collaboratory. At the same time, they wereaware that students and researchers might have differentabilities or incentives to work and share information.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva hur anpassad gruppundervisning bedrivs för patienter med diabetes typ 2. Tio kvalitativa artiklar ligger till grund för resultatet. En av de grundläggande faktorerna är relationen mellan patient och undervisare och att denna uppehålls under längre tid. Närstående behöver också delta i undervisningen för att hjälpa patienten med livsstilsföränd¬ringar. Gruppundervisning är ett utmärkt tillfälle att lära av andras erfarenheter och en kulturanpassning med enkla redskap som matlagning tillsammans, kan hjälpa patienten till bättre egenvård.

SyfteDenna uppsats syftar till att undersöka hur personer med ångestproblematik upplever mötet med sjukvårdens personal. Fokus ligger på de förväntningar personerna har på sjukvård innan de blir patienter och hur väl sjukvården lever upp till förväntningarna. Även deras upplevelser av bemötande, vårdrelation och behandling undersöks.MetodFör att undersöka personernas upplevelser och erfarenheter har jag använt mig av kvalitativa djupintervjuer. Intervjuerna var semistrukturerade med öppna, neutrala frågor och sammanlagt intervjuades fyra kvinnor. Dessa har eller har haft olika typer av ångestproblematik.

SammanfattningSyfteSyftet med studien var att analysera och jämföra de åtta system/modeller som finns bland Sveriges landsting, som beskriver arbetet med uppföljningen av FaR® mellan förskrivare och patient. Genom empirin, som grundar sig på ett flertal intervjuer med ansvariga för detta arbete, undersöktes vad som enligt de tillfrågade har lett till framgång respektive motgång i uppföljningsarbetet (mellan förskrivare och patient). Studien syftade även till att undersöka om, och i sådant fall i vilken utsträckning uppföljningsarbetet bygger på de teoribaserade beteendeförändringsmodellerna som FaR® har hämtat inspiration från.FrågeställningarVilka svårigheter och möjligheter har påträffas med arbetet kring uppföljningen mellan förskrivare och patient?Hur är uppföljningsarbetet förankrat i ett teoretiskt perspektiv?
