AbstractThe future of ethanol is depending on good solutions for the production. ENA energy power plant produces electrical power and District heating by heating biofuel. By building an integrated bioenergy plant surplus steam could be used to produce ethanol as fuel to vehicle.This would mean that ethanol is produced renewable energy and the energy for the process derives from the surplus of power.  ENA energy, MDH (the University of Mälardalen) and the energy authority has initiated a research project were different bioenergy combinations integrate with existing power plant.  As a part of the project which size an integrated factory should be to gain the best efficiency for the plant was investigated. Övervikt bland yngre barn är ett nationellt och globalt ökande hälsoproblem. Distriktssköterskor som arbetar inom barnhälsovården har en viktig uppgift, både i att arbeta hälsofrämjande och förebyggande med barns övervikt. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa distriktssköterskors erfarenheter av vad som påverkar deras arbete med överviktiga barn inom barnhälsovården. Data analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys, med en induktiv ansats, beskriven av Graneheim och Lundman. Åtta intervjuer med svenska distriktssköterskor, aktiva inom barnhälsovård, genomfördes.

Researchers, planners, and government agencies agree that road safety for children must be a priority and in particular that children should have a safe and secure way to travel to and from school regardless of age or the distance travelled. In Sweden, child traffic safety is a key part of the country?s Nollvision, a long-term traffic policy goal of ?no deaths or serious injuries?. Unfortunately, many countries have recorded increases in child traffic accidents as the percentage of parents who drive their children to school and thus congestion around schools has increased. Common strategies include traffic safety education for children, the redesign and improvement of traffic infrastructure, bicycle training, and carpooling.This thesis assesses the traffic problem around Ludvigsberg School in the District Valbo in Gävle, Sweden.

The purpose of this study was to look at the experiences of midwives in maternalhealth care encounters with non-european-born women and men, and to determine ifmidwives deem any special competence necessary to handle these encounters well.We gathered information by means of qualitative interviews and semi structuredquestions with eight midwives all of whom matched the inclusion criterias and gavetheir personal consent. Midwives from four District health care centers in Uppsalawere included. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed by means of qualitativecontent analysis.The results reveal the experiences from encounters with non-european patients to betwofold. On one hand the encounter is a positive, exiting experience with anopportunity to learn more about a foreign culture and exchange experiences. On theother hand complications can occur as patients may have unexpected expectationsregarding the health care, have great difficulties with the language or haveexperienced traumatizing incidents, all on top of coming to Sweden alone withoutrelatives.In the encounter with non-european-born patients the midwives consider it importantto have special competence in form of knowledge of other cultures and religions asthis provides a greater understanding of the reasoning behind the patients? decisions.Cultural competence is also important as it helps avoid inadvertently insulting thepatient during the encounter.The special competence held by the midwives has been attained from their basic andspecialist education as well as from self acquired experiences and interests.

För att tillgodose den studerande KTH byggnadens framtida krav kommer det befintliga ventilationssystemet att bytas ut. Två olika möjliga värmeåtervinningssystem har jämförts ur fjärrvärmebehovssynpunkt. Det befintliga systemet med vattenburen batterivärmeväxlare har en låg värmeåtervinningsgrad och Akademiska Hus önskar system med högre värmeåtervinning. I byggnaden har roterande värmeväxlare och frånluftsvärmepump för uppvärmning av tilluften jämförts. Då värmeåtervinning från dessa system inte är tillräckligt kommer fjärrvärme att används.I beräkningarna jämförs fem roterande värmeväxlare mot varierande antal frånluftsvärmepumpen.

The purpose of this paper was to examine how clients on the unit for adults at Södemalms District administration (Stockholm, Sweden) with severe mental illness and substance abuse differs from other clients with substance abuse at the baseline and at follow-up one year later. We have used a quantitative method and analyzed material from ASI-interviews performed at the adult drug abuse unit at Södermalm during the time period 2002-2010. At the baseline the clients with substance abuse and co-occurring severe mental illness have more problems than other clients, primarily in the area of mental health. They spend more time alone and are more likely to engage in illegal activities. Interviewers assess their situation as more serious and that they need more help in all of ASI's areas of life than other clients.

Bakgrund:Fysisk inaktivitet orsakar ohälsa och sjukdom i dagens samhälle. I Sverige introducerades, år 2001, fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR) som en metod för att öka den fysiska aktiviteten bland befolkningen. Att undersöka hur distriktssköterskan uppfattar FaR är värdefullt eftersom det är en metod som distriktssköterskan kan använda i det hälsofrämjande arbetet. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva distriktssköterskors uppfattningar om fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR). Metod: Semistrukturerade intervjuer med 18 distriktssköterskor genomfördes.

Car traffic is a major contributor to this development. Out-of-town shopping centres have historically good accessibility for car traffic. This study aims to look into what are the factors that influence the choice of transport mode for dwellers in the outskirts of a town when going to out-of-town shopping centres.

Grunden i behandlingen är fysisk aktivitet. 2001 infördes Fysisk aktivitet på Recept (FaR) som metod för att minska fysisk inaktivitet. Distriktssköterskor inom primärvården är de som förväntas ta en stor del av ansvaret i det preventiva och hälsofrämjande arbetet. Det är ofta de som möter patienterna med hypertoni för uppföljning av blodtrycket.

AbstractSeveral of researchers have reflected that the school ought to be developed to a learning organization. A method as proceed from such a perspective and should be able to match a local child- and educations administration is problembased school development. To investigate in which ways a child- and educations administration prosecute a problem based learning inside the organization a case study was used as research strategy. The question this report gives answer to is:In what/which way works a child- and educations administration in a rural District with a method to fulfil a problembased learning.To collect empiric data a canvassing inquiry was accomplished among the child- and educations administrations group of management. According to the research result it can declares that there are good conditions for the organization to prosecute problem based school development, but there is yet a great deal to do before it´s can be said totally fulfilled.

Integration is a concept that is very topical in today's multicultural-cultural society. Integration means that everyone should have the same rights, opportunities and obligations to society, regardless of extraction. What counteract integration is segregation, which implies a distinction between different groups and where there exist an inequality between them. Segregation is widespread in Sweden today and the exclusion that it creates needs to be broken. The aim of this paper is to examine if it is possible to promote integra-tion through physical planning.
