Introduction: Pregnancy, obesity, aging and certain diseases are examples of conditions thataffect the body, its constitution and composition. Simpler methods to estimate bodycomposition are needed to complement more advanced traditional methods to better identifythe health status without sacrificing accuracy and precision.Objective: To validate the results of body composition from bioelectrical impedancespectroscopy (BIS) against results from the study reference method, dual energy X-rayabsorption (DXA), in overweight and obese lactating women after childbirth.Method: The design of the LEVA-study (Lifestyle for Effective Weight loss during lactation)consisted both intervention and longitudinal follow-up, which gave the opportunity tovalidate the absolute values (accuracy) and the ability to detect changes (precision). Themean difference between methods was tested statistically by paired t-test. Bland-Altman plotsused to examine the degree of agreement between BIS and DXA, but also Distribution andany systematic differences. Association between methods was measured by using Pearson´scorrelation coefficient.Results: Between BIS and DXA, absolute measurements of the variables fat-free mass (FFM)and fat mass (FM) showed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001).

Although known and feared for thousands of years, rabies remains a real and present threat to thousands of people, especially in low- and middle income countries. In India, rabies is an endemic disease, causing human deaths every year. The primary mode of transmission is through the bite of an infected dog. Fighting the disease in the dog population through vaccinations remains the most efficient way to eradicate the disease. The knowledge of rabies in India is unsatisfactory, as a lot of people lack awareness about the severity of the disease and the importance of washing the bitten area and seeking medical attention for post exposure prophylaxis when bitten by a dog.

Det energibesparande ämnet i biogas är metan och kandidatarbetets syfte är att framställametan under katalytiska processer.Metan kan skapas genom den sa kallade Sabatier-reaktionen där koldioxid ochvätgas reagerar till just metan och biprodukten vatten. Denna reaktion har studeratsur ett praktiskt, miljömässigt och ekonomiskt perspektiv. En Sabatier-reaktori laborativ skala har designats och konstruerats. Flertalet försök har gjorts för attutvärdera effekten av olika parametrar såsom temperatur, volymsflöde och gassammansättning.

The Swedish alcohol market has for many years been in the hands of the government. The question of the monopoly, its being or not being, has for a long time engaged both Swedish citizens and politicians. Since joining the European Union it has also been on the European agenda, trying to adapt Sweden to the more liberal alcohol politic in Europe.The suppliers find themselves acting on a completely different market than a market based on free competition. The suppliers are faced with one retail channel to the stores which creates dependence and uneven power balance towards the retailer. In addition to this, their marketing activities are strictly limited due to the laws and claims.

Purpose ? The purpose with this thesis is to examine how items can be distributed between stores inventory and an external warehouse. To achieve the purpose criteria that should be considered, how these can be prioritized and used when distributing items between stores inventory and an external warehouse will be examined.Method ? The study started by an examination of the theory that already exists within the subject. The already existing theory has then been examined in reality, on the furniture company IKEA Jönköping, where a case study with one channel has been performed.

Enligt lagen om Kommunal energiplanering måste samtliga Sveriges kommuner ha en aktuell energiplan som beskriver kommunens planer för tillförsel, Distribution och användning av energi inom kommunen. Många av kommunerna har problem med att skapa ett aktivt arbete med energifrågorna inom kommunen, utifrån energiplanen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att a) genom intervjustudie beskriva hur tre kommuner arbetar med kommunal energiplanering som ett verktyg för ett aktivt arbete med energifrågorna inom kommunen, b) utifrån Leavitts systemmodell skapa en ökad förståelse för vilka centrala komponenter, såväl statiska som dynamiska, som ligger till grund för kommunernas förändringsarbete samt vilket fokus detta arbete har inom kommunerna. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av gruppintervjuer med representanter från de tre utvalda kommunerna; Lidköping, Borås och Trollhättan. Representanterna från de valda kommunerna berättade om deras arbete med energifrågor utifrån tre utgångspunkter; synen på kommunal energiplanering, arbetsprocessen och framgångs/motivationsfaktorer.

Nature conservation agreement (NCA) is a way to voluntarily protect and manage nature for limited time-periods. The agreement is settled between the government and a landowner. All public authorities can represent the government but it is only the Swedish Forest Administration who does that regularly (because it is the only authority with economic resources for that purpose). Therefore, NCAs are almost only used to protect forested nature. The government agencies have experienced NCAs for about ten years and it is now time to examine how they are applied in the forests. This study is based on a computerized questionnaire to the persons responsible for the LEKO-projekt.

Problembeskrivningen ger utgångspunkten för vår uppsats, som utgörs av två olika samhällstrender, en beträffande miljö och en som handlar om upplevelser. Tidigare forskning av certifierad svensk ekoturism har visat att upplevelser spelar en mer framträdande roll än miljö- och hållbarhetsaspekter i ekoturism¬arrangörers marknadsföring. Frågan är om detta gäller ur ett bredare framställningsperspektiv än enbart marknadsföring. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur ekoturism utförd i Sverige framställs av ekoturismarrangörer certifierade av Naturens Bästa. Syftet problematiseras med hjälp av följande frågeställningar: Vilken roll spelar hållbarhet i framställningen av ekoturism? Vilken roll spelar upplevelser i framställningen av ekoturism? Metoden som tillämpades var abduktiv ansats och genomfördes i form av en kvalitativ undersökning genom dokument¬analys där de certifierade svenska ekoturismarrangörernas hemsidor utgör vårt empiriska material.

Malmö has often been described as a segregated city, with relatively low democratic participation and high poverty and alienation. Behind this kind of statements we often find a material reality, with unequal Distribution of assets and potentials that needs to be taken into consideration for political action. At the same time this categorisation of people into different groups can take stigmatising effects and result in increased inequality.I find the theoretical basis for my thesis in Lefebvre?s writings on ?the right to the city?, that shortly means that all inhabitants of a city have the right to take active part in the constantly ongoing process of producing and reproducing the city ? on all levels, from a hands-on everyday life level to a more abstract political level.With an interdisciplinary approach, where the right to the city is discussed in relation to citizenship, presence, representation and public space, I try to understand the connections between democracy, participation, justice and equality. These discussions are then applied to examples from Malmö; both publically initiated projects and individual physical markings in the city.

Regeneration with scarification and planting is a well known method, but the plants have a tuff period in the beginning. Decease of plants comes from pine weevils, dry weather, browsers, wrong method of scarification and wrong time for the planting. These are some courses why not every planting gets successful. The purpose with this study is to investigate witch time of planting gives the best result, spring or autumn planting and to give a answer of witch factors are the main course of deceases. The goal is to have the study to decide witch time to plant after final felling. The choices of plantings were maid from a period of three years. Spring plantings were from year 2005, 2006 and 2007 and autumn plantings were from 2004, 2005, and 2006.The purpose was to compare differences in deceases at the same spring weather.
