"...Jag har äntligen hittat hem!" : En kvalitativ studie om hur medlemmarna i organisationen Unga KRIS uppfattar organisationen

This study examines the link between the individual and social network, what social forces and social mechanisms involved in the interaction between individuals and groups and how we can explain and consider this relationship with the aim of understanding this connection. Through qualitative interviews, based on interviews of six active members in the organization Young KRIS (Young Criminal?s Return in the Society) examines the active social processes that the young members undergo, and motivates those who have been outside the expected conformed and regular society, to be included in the regular community and how this can be explained. The study shows that the organization through high availability, openness, knowledge of the needs of young people, good treatment, range of meaningful activities, has created a great venue for the young to develop and thus regain their place in the society..

Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy in wildlife : and a review of suggested pathogeneses

In this essay suggested pathogenesis of secondary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (HOA) is reviewed. HOA, characterized by; periostitis, periosteal proliferation of tubular bones and arthritis can develop due to many different underlying diseases. The syndrome is most commonly seen with intra-thoracic malignancy or chronic pulmonary infections. HOA has previously mainly been described in humans and various domesticated species. More recently, through wildlife disease monitoring, cases have also been found among wild animals.

Registrerad : - En förklarande studie av Skånepolisens romregister

In 2011, a crime prevention initiative was undertaken by the Swedish police department in Scania. Two years later, the Swedish media reported on this initiative, claiming that it had been intended as an ethnic registration of Romani people. This revelation resulted in a great deal of controversy and sparked a national debate on the issue of ethnicity and public registration in Sweden. The police in Scania had difficulties explaining the purpose of such a registration effort, and could not provide evidence that it had been legitimate and legal. This paper will attempt to explain the motivation behind the original police initiative with a theoretical analysis based on assessments from public authorities.

Att drabbas av stroke : Patienters upplevelse i arbetsför ålder

Stroke are a common disease and it comes with big chances of disability after rehabilitation. Life after stroke can bring a different lifestyle and lots of feelings around this situation. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how people feel after being injured with stroke. Method: We have assumed that studying qualitative research articles according to Evans description of content analysis. Information has been sought in the databases Cinahl, PubMed and Discovery Results: The study results in four themes; Loneliness, trust, Despair and obstacles to health.

BACKGROUND: Exercise on Prescription (EoP) means that a doctor writes out a customized form of exercise to the patient instead of medicine, or in combination with medication. The activity becomes a part of the treatment. Since many today do not follow recommendations for physical activity occurs in the long term a number of public health diseases. EoP promotes health and prevents disease. AIM: The aim of this paper is toexamine whether EoP from a patient perspective perceived to be an efficient and effective method of treatment.

Hur patienter med hiv upplever bemötandet från vårdpersonal

Background: During the 1980s, the fear of HIV spread over the world. Health professionals'attitudes to patients with HIV, was negatively impacted because of their fear to be infected.Patients with HIV have therefore,during disease history's first two decades, experienced stigma and discrimination in the response from health professionals. Because of the increasing knowledge of HIV it is of interest to study patients' contemporary experiences of the encounter with health professionals. Aim:To explore how patients with HIV experiencing the meeting with health professionals. Method:Literature study with seven qualitative and three quantitative articles.

Att leva med en livshotande sjukdom : en studie av självbiografier

Att få en livshotande sjukdom kan vara en stor kris och är ett lidande. Tidigare forskning är till stor del fokuserad på patienters upplevelser i ett terminalt skede och visar vikten av en öppen kommunikation, att leva ett aktivt normalt liv och att människors uppfattning om döden är olika. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur det är att leva med en livshotande sjukdom i det vardagliga livet vilket har studerats med hjälp av självbiografier. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats, baserad på sex självbiografier. Resultatet beskrivs i form av fem teman, som illustreras och förtydligas med citat.

Att förebygga depression hos ungdomar

 Depressiva symtom har blivit ett vanligt tecken på psykisk ohälsa hos ungdomar. Dessa kan leda till utvecklandet av depression och självmordsförsök. Syftet med arbetet var att belysa preventionsprogrammens betydelse för förebyggandet av depression hos ungdomar och insatser som sjuksköterskan kan göra i det förebyggande arbetet. En systematisk litteraturstudie gjordes, där fem artiklar analyserades. Fyra studier undersökte effektiviteten av olika preventionsprogram för depressiva symtom.

Problemhundar : En studie inriktad på hundar med grava aggressions- och rädsleproblem

Dogs with behavioral problemsThis study was made to investigate if there was a problem in today?s society regarding dogs showing for example excessive aggression and/or anxiety. The main questions in this study was "is there a problem today" and "if there is a problem, what can we do to prevent it". To investigate these questions interviews were made with six different professions concerning the dog domain. The result of the study shows that three of the interviewed considered it to be a problem, one did not have an opinion on the matter and two choose not to call it a dog related problem because it mostly depends on the owner.

 Like adult obesity, childhood obesity prevalence is rising, especially in the Western World.As many as 20 ? 25 percent of the ten years old children are overweight in Sweden. It isimportant to early identify overweight, since overweight could lead into diabetes, mentalsuffering, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.The aim of this study was to describe how nurses experience and perceive the conversationwith parents of overweight children. A qualitative method with a content analysis has beenused. Six nurses working in child health centre have been interviewed.The result shows that the conversation between the nurse and the parents of an overweightchild can be very difficult.

Bland amasoner och eunucker : En kvalitativ studie av patografier av kvinnor med bröstcancer och män med prostatacancer

Narratives about life-changing events like cancer have become more common in today?s society. The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether gender patterns in society can also be found in pathographies about cancer, and further to investigate how gender is expressed in these cancer related narratives. Questions were posed on characteristics of the autobiographical cancer narratives, how gender is constructed by the authors of these narratives, and what these narratives say about gender structures? liability to change in the individuals affected by this disease.

Icke-farmakologiska åtgärder mot postoperativt illamående och kräkningar

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva de icke-farmakologiska åtgärder som kan göra att incidensen av postoperativt illamående och kräkningar minskar. Studien baseras på tio vetenskapliga artiklar som har noggrant valts ut och kvalitetsgranskats. Resultaten visar att de icke-farmakologiska åtgärder som sjuksköterskan kan utföra och som visar sig hjälpa mot postoperativt illamående och/eller kräkningar är baserade på den österländska läran om människan. Med stimuleringar av vissa bestämda punkter på kroppen kan incidensen av postoperativt illamående och kräkningar minskas. Det finns flera sätt på vilka de stimuleringarna kan göras, samt olika punkter som kan stimuleras.

Pain in the ass eller samhällets hjälte- En studie om lekmannaövervakares arbete

The aim of this study is to explore the effects of probation officers and their work. The following questions have been asked to come to a conclusion: How do probation officers view their work and the purpose of it? What are the effects of probation officers work? The approach of the study is of a qualitative nature and has been conducted by interviewing three officers of the correctional service system, three probation officers and two ex-criminals that have been on probation. The selection is based on a snowball type selection. To analyse the results of the study we have applied previous research and phenomenological theory to examine the experience of correctional service officers, probation officers and ex criminals.

KOL i dagligt liv. En litteraturstudie om upplevelser och underlättande faktorer.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka patienters upplevelser av att leva med KOL samt identifiera eventuella faktorer som underlättar det dagliga livet. För att göra detta genomfördes en litteraturstudie där artiklar analyserades efter Carnevalis (1999) Dagligt Liv ? Funktionellt Hälsotillstånd-modell. Patienter upplever svårigheter, krav, i det dagliga livet relaterat till hygien, måltids-situationer och sociala situationer. Patienterna får anpassa sin aktivitetsnivå till sitt aktuella hälsotillstånd.

De ensammas sjukdom : tankar och önskemål kring stöd vid viktreducering

Obesity and overweight is the worst public health related disease today, and it is a constantly increasing problem in societies all over the world. In Sweden the number of overweight persons has been doubled in the last 20 years. Today about 500 000 persons suffer from obesity and overweight.The aim of this study was to investigate obese and overweight people´s thoughts and wishes regarding what support they would like, in order to be able to successfully manage a weightreduction. The study is qualitative and conducted through six interviews, the material was analysed with content analysis. The result of the analysed interviews led to four categories:offered support, wished support, are you strong enough to find support by your own and mental wellbeing.The conclusion of this study is that overweight person?s biggest wish is to get continuous and personal support from the health care system.
