With this research we aim to examine foster parents and social workers perceptions about the relationship between foster parents and the foster child?s biological parents and their perceptions about the support to the foster parents in the contact with the child?s biological parents. The research will provide a deeper understanding of the actors? perceptions and explain possible differences in their opinions. This study has a qualitative approach and contains eight semi-structured interviews with foster parents and social workers in a smaller town in the south of Sweden.

The present study deals with the scope of action available to a social worker when analyzing, assessing and proposing measures regarding young persons experiencing social problems. The interest in the subject area emanates from the fact that the number of youth placed in different forms of round the clock out-of-home care in Sweden increases, whereas research in the subject shows that such placement gives few positive results and sometimes even has negative consequences for their development.The study investigates how the preconditions of the social worker influence their scope of possible action, in particular as regards their place of work, the situation of the individual dealt with, and the profession itself being one based both on scientific evidence and knowledge gained by experience. Lipsky?s theory on ?street-level bureaucracy? and Hasenfelds theory on human servicing organizations form the theoretical framework of the present study. The empirical input comes from interviews with focus groups of active social workers.The analysis of the interviews shows that social workers generally feel that they have a broad scope of action as far as the regulatory framework and office management are concerned.

Vårt syfte är att undersöka motivet till att en socialarbetare väljer att ta med hästen som del i sitt arbete. Detta försökte vi finna svar på genom intervjuer med sex stycken utövare av hästunderstött socialt arbete (HUSA). Vår tanke var att försöka förstå varför man väljer att tillföra hästen i ett redan komplext område. Det vi ville få reda på var vilka faktorer som är avgörande för valet att arbeta med häst? Vilka kunskaper ligger till grund för valet att arbeta med HUSA? Och Påverkar tidigare erfarenheter valet att börja arbeta med HUSA? Vårt datamaterial vi fått ut av de semi-strukturerade intervjuerna har vi sedan tolkat utifrån den tidigare forskningen men också genom perspektiv som beskriver komplexiteten i socialt arbete, kunskap och kunskapsformer men också evidensbaserad praktik.

Goods that children come in contact with on a daily basis for example toys, electronics, textiles, household items, have attracted an increased attention in recent years because of a common occurrence of residues of potentially hazardous chemical substances. Some municipalities in Stockholm have developed plans for managing chemical risks and work systematically to phase out products containing hazardous substances. This thesis aims to contribute to an improved knowledge base for any future work with non-toxic nursery schools in Haninge. The study's focus is on the challenges encountered by conditions and problems of preschool personnel to manage chemical risks in early childhood environments. Primary data was collected through a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews with both the preschool staff and practitioners working in the central organization of the municipality.

Lekmannarevisorer är ofta förtroendevalda utan någon relevant utbildning som skulle anses likvärdig den en yrkesverksam revisor har. Trots att lekmannarevisorerna inte har några direkta formkrav som en professionell revisor har så ska de följa god revisionssed. Grunden för god revisonssed är enligt FAR att revisorn ska vara oberoende, ha rätt kompetens och vårda tystnadsplikten. En verksam revisor har dessa ledord i ryggmärgen men en novis (som man kan utgå från att en lekmannarevisor är) har de troligen inte lika inpräntade. Man kan undra vad som är drivkraften bakom hur dessa lekmannarevisorer i idrottsföreningar agerar i olika situationer med tanke på att det också är mycket känslor involverade.

 The purpose of this study was to study social work models to explain addiction in the assessment of response to people with addictions. This study investigated how social workers' explanations are shaped by their experiences, theoretical points influenced by research in a Discretion is affected by organizational conditions, manuals, evidence-based practice and national guidelines in an investigative process. The material in this study has emerged through interviews with four social workers in the social services department for addiction and dependence. The essay is a qualitative study with personal interviews as the basis for the result. The study begins with a description of addiction and dependence, current laws on the matter, and officer's work.

The objective of this paper ? Trusting the reader: On impressionistic narrating in Stig Claesson's writings with the novel Brev till en hembygdsgård as starting point ? is to examine narrative techniques used by the Swedish author Stig Claesson, specifically some which fall within the broad field known as literary impressionism: e.g. omission, repetition, juxtaposition, episodic narration and how access to the narrator?s as well as individual characters' consciousness is handled.The method used for the study will be that of illustrative comparison. The analysis will seek its theoretical grounds in the works by Gerard Genette and Jonathan Culler.

Gender politics in Sweden is considered unique because gender policies (jämställdhet) are integrated into national politics and politicised both in the public and the private sphere. The Swedish case is therefore considered a role model by many feminist scholars.This view has been criticised by both post modern feminists and public administration scholars. Critics imply that the increased immigration and more heterogeneous population have led to a new challenge for state institutions. The Swedish model, with its universal welfare solutions, lacks the ability to recognise differences within groups. Universal solutions that treat everyone the same is no longer the most just way to treat people.The growing use of goal orientation in Swedish public administration has increased the civil servants Discretion in the implementation process, and thereby the space for differentiated treatment.

Det övergripande syftet med denna studie är att studera socialsekreterares uppfattning av deras möjlighet till att bedriva förändringsarbete på avdelningen för ekonomiskt bistånd inom socialtjänsten, med målet att klienten ska bli självförsörjande. Tidigare forskning inom området har visat att socialsekreterare har flera olika roller. De förväntas följa lagar och regler samtidigt som de ska möta klientens individuella behov. Detta förutsätter en god relation mellan socialsekreterare och klient, och möjligheten till att skapa goda relationer anses kunna vara avhängigt organisationstypen. Tidigare forskning har även visat att ett av problemen i det dagliga arbetet inom socialtjänsten är tidsbristen, vilken ger upphov till ett behov av att prioritera mellan ärenden.
