Event är en modern marknadsföringsmetod som vuxit fram på senare år; i Sverige användes överhuvudtaget inte begreppet event förrän i slutet av 1980-talet. Eventet är ett relationsinriktat verktyg som kan användas för att skapa eller bibehålla relationer till företagets kunder. Fördelar med den här metoden är bland annat att bruset i kommunikationen minskar och att eventbesökarna kommer att minnas meddelandet bättre än om det sänts i en traditionell kanal eftersom människan lär bäst genom alla sinnen. Eventet är alltså en metod som företaget kan använda i sin relationsmarknadsföring. Litteraturen har börjat behandla ett nytt synsätt på marknadsföring som innefattar mer relations- och serviceinriktade metoder.

Evaporation is a part of the chemical recovery department at wood pulping mills. The purpose of evaporation is to remove water from the black liquor, which makes the liquor combustible. The process is very energy demanding, and having a well-functioning model of the system is of greatest interest. The model can then be used to study energy consumption and to test different control strategies. Two models have been developed during the master thesis.

This thesis considers the use of an oldrock cavern as thermal energy storage.With a large system of differentchillers a model was created to find anappropriate future system. There aremainly two trajectories to take. Eitheran installation of chillers needs to bemade or the rock cavern can be used tomeet the future demand of districtcooling in Solna, Sweden. Additionallythis thesis investigates the possibleuse of different techniques to utilizethe phase change energy of water.Simulation shows that it?s possible toutilize the phase-change energy of afluid; however it?s not economicallyfeasible due to the thermodynamiceffects on the Carnot cycle.

Detta ställer höga krav på kreditvärderingsföretagens förmåga att leverera korrekta analyser. Såväl långivare som investerare reagerar på ett ändrat kreditbetyg, vilket ger direkta effekter på det företag som betygssätts. Kreditvärderingsföretagen har kritiserats bland annat för att inte svara tillräckligt snabbt på ny information.

AbstractEmbla 5 is an office building which has done a large improvement. The clients of this building has made an order of WSP and the student Anders Kempe to calculate the use of energy for the building, and after that result proposing further measures which can decrease the energy use of Embla 5.The ground for this report is when calculation of the present energy use of the building is stated. To make that information of a number of parameters such as envelope, the heating system and ventilation has been located and set in to the simulation program IDA ICE which calculate the energy use.To improve the energy use further this project has been concentrated to change the system of ventilation. Today the ventilation system is of the kind CAV (constant air volume) and the air flow is dimensioned for after recommendations from BBR and Arbetsmiljöverket in the office spaces. Consider that Embla 5  is an office building where the people only staying for 8-10 hours/day so was the ide to see how much energy saving if the air flow is reduced the time people not being in the building.

The aim of this study is to examine the market reaction when information about a company?s foreign direct investment is announced and how that affects the shareholder?s value. Also of interest is whether the market reacts differently depending on which country the investment is established in and which mode of entry is used. This will be achieved by using an event study approach. The selection that was used consisted of 206 companies registered on the Nasdaq OMX Nordic homepage, which had during a time period stretching from 1999 to 2009 established a foreign direct investment in the regions BRIC, Europe or the USA using the mode of organic growth, joint venture or acquisition.

Historically transformers with system earth equipment have been modeled as open circuits in zero sequence. This approximation has been satisfying, but lately it has been discovered that equipment on one side of the transformer have responded to faults that occurred at the other side. Most of these problems took place when the majority of the system on the secondary side of the transformer contained cables. These findings have led to questioning whether or not the former model of the transformer in zero sequence is correct. This report investigates if it is necessary to represent the transformer in zero sequence in another way than it is usually done today.

A trading halt is a measure conducted by a securities exchange in order to reduce information imbalances between market participants, thus enabling a higher level of market efficiency. A market is said to be efficient when new information concerning a company is instantly reflected in its stock price, implying that abnormal stock returns cannot be systematically achieved in an efficient market. The purpose of this study is to examine the occurrence of abnormal stock returns following trading halts on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The study is based on a sample of 64 trading halts executed between January 2003 and February 2008. Historical daily prices for stocks subject to trading halts during the period have been gathered from the Datastream Advance database, while information on date and time of trading halts have been collected from the Stockholm Stock Exchange website.

För att estimera en jämförande normal avkastning har vi använt en kombinerad OLS- och ARMA-modellering.TEORETISKT PERSPEKTIV - Den effektiva marknadshypotesen är den grundläggande teorin som använts för att analysera insamlad empiri, som tillsammans med andra event-studier utgör det teoretiska ramverket.EMPIRI - 19 informationshändelsers påverkan på aktiekurser har analyse¬rats för att estimera normal och abnormal avkastning. Dessa 19 aktiekurser härstammar från 18 företag, belägna i sju länder.SLUTSATSER - Undersökningens resultat tyder på att undersökta företags aktie¬priser inte påverkats nämnvärt av Världshälsoorganisationens uttalande om att H5N1-viruset spritt sig till respektive företags land. Det finns dock ingen möjlighet att dra några statistiskt sig¬nifikanta slut¬satser grundade på undersökningen och dess analy¬serade empiri..

This paper presents a study of the computer game ?Minesweeper?. The aim of the game is to search through a rectangular area of mined squares without hitting any mines. By using a strategy based on making every operation as safe as possible, series of the game have been simulated. The size of the playground is four times four squares.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att utröna hur events kan påverka boendeattraktionen till en stad och åskådliggöra andra påverkande faktorer. Metod: I vår uppsats har vi valt att använda oss av en kombination av kvalitativa intervjuer och en kvantitativ enkätundersökning. Vi utförde personliga semistrukturerade intervjuer med representanter från studieobjektet Trelleborgs kommun, medan enkätundersökningen genomfördes under två dagar i de centrala delarna av Trelleborg stad. Teoretiska perspektiv: Det huvudsakliga teoretiska perspektivet i vår uppsats utgörs av teorier kring Place marketing, Event marketing och Boendeattraktion. Dessa sammankopplas i en teoretisk referensram som ligger till grund för analysen.

The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.

This study is about organizing major sporting events. Sporting events? numerous positive outcomes for the hosting region has resulted in a growing number and size of sporting events globally. The aim of this study was therefore to provide further knowledge about how organizations in major sport events practically and strategically operate and how processes related to organization and leadership can contribute to the success of the event. The study focuses the context of a Swedish national multi-sport event hosted and held by three different cities, three different years.
