Idag dagens samhälle blir människan mindre medveten om sina känslor och sämre på att lyssna på kroppens varningssignaler. Kulturaktiviteter kan trigga igång det som styr människans känslomässiga och mentala närvaro, och på så vis stimulera känslor av lycka och få ett nytt perspektiv på livet. Syftet med litteraturstudiestudien var att undersöka kultur som behandlingsmetod. Med hänsyn till studiens syfte utfördes ett strategiskt urval, åtta artiklar valdes från databasen Discovery via biblioteket på Högskolan i Gävle. Artiklarna omfattade en variation av målgrupper och kulturella aktiviteter som behandlingsmetod.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka specialpedagogers tankar kring hur förskolans arbetssätt kan anpassas för att ge stöd till barn som far illa och underlätta tidig upptäckt.Som metod har semistrukturerad intervju använts. Sex specialpedagoger med grundutbildning som förskollärare deltog. Som hjälpmedel användes fallbeskrivningar att reflektera kring och resonera om.Studien visar att specialpedagogerna i undersökningen anser att förskolan spelar en viktig roll för barn som far illa och deras utveckling. Personalens förhållningssätt till barnen och deras föräldrar är avgörande för att skapa goda relationer.Studien visar även att anmälningsfrekvensen i förskolan när det gäller barn som far illa är låg. Vanliga anledningar till detta är obehagskänsla och bristande kunskap hos personalen.

The purpose of this study was to understand how the concept of quality as an idea was spread to and translated in municipal elderly care. A central question was: How does literature, policy documents and key people describe the function and meaning of the concept of quality? The method of analysis was a qualitative case study with a critical discourse. The theoretical framework of the study is mainly what is known as institutional theory and a line of thought describing how ideas are transferred and spread. The theoretical focus is on how original ideas are interpreted and why they gain a foothold in new contexts.

On December 1th 2009 the Lisbon Treaty entered into force, and through Article 13, the recognition of animals as sentient being was given a more visible part in the very core of EU law. This was an effect of a political decision to commit to the issue, partly because of the will to further harmonize the EU market, but also due to increased societal concern for the wellbeing of animals. Over the last decades, ethical awareness is growing in many countries, one reason being new scientific Discovery. This influences legislators and policy makers to take proper action, and in this way, ethics and science often work together as the very basis for the development of new legislation and policies. There is yet to be seen what the actual consequences of Article 13 will be, since the legal obligation remains the same and there are still some reservations in it.

To many of us blogging is a natural part of our everyday life. Bloggers dedicate hours to writing in blogs, reading blogs, commenting on posts or answering comments on published posts. But what we choose to blog about can differ; this is an important note due to my Discovery that what we choose to write about determines what benefits blogging holds to the blogger.This paper discusses the conventions of blogging as well as tries to answer the question of why blogging is so popular: why do we start blogging and why do so many choose to continue? These questions get answered by me analyzing the phenomenon that is blogging.I have studied both blogging as genre and as a kind of performance, as well as I have tried to hold an open dialogue with my informants. Thus I have concluded that blogging is to be considered a tool with many uses.

The principle of proportionality is considered one of the most important contemporary legal principles on which it intends to protect individual citizens against disproportionate action by the authorities. This aroused our interest prior to this study. The essay reveals how such behavior might look like and how courts have chosen to adjudicate in cases where the individual has been discriminated against or subjected to unreasonable demands in public procurement. That section of the law that were current throughout all court cases are Public Procurement Act (2007:1097) LOU. That which we have seen in every court case is that the applicant has not received a proper fair chance when the requirements of the contract often been asked in a way that either exclude the smaller applicant company or rule out various potential applicants parties due to excessive and sometimes unnecessary requirements.

Syftet med denna studie är att redogöra hur förskollärare ser på och använder sig av naturvetenskapliga experiment i förskolan. Studien ska ta fram vilka motiv och målsättningar en förskollärare har inför en aktivitet med experiment. Tidigare forskning visar att naturvetenskap och teknik inte varit så högt prioriterade i förskolans pedagogiska verksamhet. Därför så reviderade Skolverket Läroplanen för förskolan 2010, då bl.a. naturvetenskap och teknik fick ett större utrymme i den pedagogiska verksamheten.

The main purpose for this study was to examine how boys with destructive and self-harming behaviour are perceived and comprehended by school counsellors and literature. The study assessed how boys who harm themselves are defined both in practice and in theory by using a social constructivist point of view and a gender perspective. The study was divided in two parts concerning gathering knowledge of the matter. The authors, using a method called qualitative semi-structured interviews, interviewed nine school counsellors. To acquire scientific knowledge, the authors implemented a literature review and researched books and journal articles regarding boys who self-harm.

Abstract The meaning of this essay is to bring you a picture of a growing unnoticed society problem. The statistics talk for itself. The low number of men who report domestic violence, where they are the victims, shows that the society doesn?t have a good way of meeting this type of problem which is based both on structural and individual problems. The lack of science and the legislation are insufficient and discriminating because they are built on a picture where women are the victims and men are the perpetrators.

This essay focuses upon the Kivik monument and its conservation difficulties, since its Discovery at 1748 until modern time. The Kivik monument is found in southeast of Scania, and dated within the Bronze Age period. The perspective of the conservation on the monument has merely been on the monuments inner cist of stone and the rock carvings on the cist-slabs. When the monument was first archaeological examined at 1931, its sizeable cairn (75 m in diameter) had almost vanished and the cist was sheltered by a casing of concrete and metal roof. Between 1932 and 1933 the monument has undergone a large-scale restoration, and this criticized restoration resulted in a low antiquarian value with the responsible authority.

This study focuses on costume as a source of information. By making a case study of an 1880's dress itaims to explore the conservators potential as an investigator and conveyor of the information containedin a costume. Further explanation of this role is made by reference to several statements made by wellknown textile conservators. AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to increase the knowledge of which strategies students with reading and writing disabilities or dyslexia use to learn in secondary school. The study aims to examine the following questions:Which coping strategies do students with reading and writing disabilities use in their studies?How can remedial teachers support students with reading and writing disabilities in their learning process?The study consists of two interviews with a total of three hours recorded material made with a secondary school teacher who teaches Swedish and English. The teacher has experiences of reading and writing disabilities herself but also from teaching students with dyslexia. The interviews are constructed into a lifestory describing experiences of reading and writing disabilities in school, during teacher training and as a teacher.
