This report aims to provide an insight into the particle physics of today, and into the research that goes on within the field. The focus is partly on the recent Discovery of the Higgs boson, and partly on how software can be used to simulate processes in particle accelerators. Basic concepts of particle physics and the search for the Higgs boson are discussed, and experimental results, including those from the Large Hadron Collider, are compared with simulations made in MadGraph 5. Furthermore, simple new models of particle physics are created in FeynRules, in order to make simulations based on the models. To support the presentations of these aspects, some of the underlying theory is built from the ground up.

Övergången till IPv6: Säkerhetsrisker
Den 21 januari 2011 delades de sista tillgängliga blocken av IPv4-adresser ut. Detta gör att dess efterträdare IPv6 är aktuellare än någonsin, då det snart inte finns några adresser kvar. IPv6 för med sig mer inbyggd säkerhet, men också nya säkerhetsrisker. Detta arbete undersöker vilka säkerhetsrisker gällande tillgänglighet som finns vid en övergång från IPv4 till IPv6 och vilken medvetenhet systemadministratörer har om dessa. Resultaten tyder på att det finns en mängd olika säkerhetsrisker vid övergången till IPv6.
Kommunikation online : En fallstudie av Korrespondensgymnasiets elevkurativa arbete
The main purpose of this study was to examine how social work can be performed online, by a case study of Korrespondensgymnasiet that pursues distance education. The intention was to determine the possibilities and limits with the online communication between the school counsellor and the pupils. The study was based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with one school counsellor and five pupils and document analysis of three descriptions of the school counsellor?s profession. The theory that has been used in this study is the communication theory: Shannon and Weaver?s Model of Communication and non-verbal communication.
ABC+SCM=Sant?
Background:Companies of today commonly search to gain competitive advantages throughout different forms of co-operation, one of which is referred to as Supply Chain Management. Although little research has been assigned to the topic of how to manage and control this type of relation, lately a growing number of academics has been arguing that ABC is an appropriate mean of controlling this type of relationships.Purpose:The purpose of this thesis is to investigate to what degree the ongoing debate on the use of ABC as a mean of control within SCM correspond to the present theories related to ABC and SCM respectively.Research method:The thesis takes it?s starting point within the literature, meaning that the empirical information consists of published articles in the ongoing debate. This information is put in relation to the original theories concerning both topics.Conclusions:The results shown in the thesis in some content agrees with the ongoing debate referring to the positive aspects that could result from using ABC as a mean of control within SCM. However the main result of the study is the Discovery of a lack of discussion concerning the problems that implementing ABC within SCM might implicate, a fact that we believe contributes to the mainly positive view on using ABC within Supply Chain Management..
Wo lai zi ruidian (Svennebanan i Taiwan)
Mitt projekt Wo lai zi ruidian (Svennebanan i Taiwan) handlar om att göra en kollektion mönster som beskriver min fem månader långa vistelse i Taiwan. Mönstren ska ge känslan av ett annat land där målet är att människor i Sverige ska kunna föra in element av, eller känslan av Taiwan i sitt hem. Mönstren appliceras på produkter som för tanken till ett vardagsliv i Taiwan; digitaltryckts bomullsvara uppsytt till sittpuffar och stickade filtar. Kollektionen består av sju olika mönster som tillsammans beskriver min upplevelse, energin och kaoset från vardagen i ett annat land. My project Wo lai zi ruidian (Svennebanan in Taiwan) is a collection of patterns that tell a story about the five months I spent living in Taiwan.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how people feel after being injured with stroke. Method: We have assumed that studying qualitative research articles according to Evans description of content analysis. Information has been sought in the databases Cinahl, PubMed and Discovery Results: The study results in four themes; Loneliness, trust, Despair and obstacles to health.

The fast growing economy of India has experienced fundamental structural changes in recentyears. The share of the service sectors output has more than doubled since 1950 and is todayestimated to make up almost 60 percent of India?s total output. In terms of total employmentwe have not yet seen a similar transformation. The observed discrepancy between sectorialshares of employment and output in the service sector raises questions about sustainability.This report aims to investigate the capacity of the Indian service sector in terms ofemployment creation in order to answer the question whether the recent GDP growth withinthe service sector can be considered as ?jobless? or not.
