Ett av de mål som sattes upp i och med Europeiska Unionens 20-20-20-paket rör effektivisering i samhället. Då bostadssektorn står för en stor del av Sveriges energianvändning kan stora förbättringar göras där. För att kunna se om genomförda åtgärder ger det önskade resultatet måste någon form av uppföljning ske. Oavsett vilken metod som väljs för uppföljning är det av stor vikt hur baslinjen, dvs. energianvändningen innan åtgärderna genomförs, bestäms.

This study was performed in order to investigate the difficulty in diagnosing retrobulbar disease with ultrasound. A retrospective study was accomplished to investigate the use of ultrasound in patients with suspected retrobulbar problems, and how often the examination is diagnostic. The computer based patient files, at the University of Agricultural Science in Uppsala, were searched for dogs with suspected retrobulbar disease. During 1999-01-01-2004-04-14, 14 patients fulfilling the search criteria were found. The patient records were studied, and the written reports from the ultrasound examinations were compared with the printed pictures from the examinations.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera den frivilliga redovisning som börsföretag lämnar i årsredovisningen, samt att identifiera egenskaper som kännetecknar företag som publicerar samma typ av frivillig redovisning och skillnader mellan företag som väljer olika typer av frivillig redovisning.Vi avser vidare att teoretiskt förklara företagens motiv för att publicera frivillig redovisning.Våra slutsatser är att företagen lämnar stora mängder frivillig redovisning av olika typer, men innehållet och formen varierar. Vi kan inte konstatera några generella mönster som kopplar redovisningstyper till företagsspecifika karakteristika. Praxis kan konstateras i den mening att många företag publicerar en viss typ av redovisning, men det finns ingen praxis för vad denna redovisning ska innehålla och hur den ska utformas. Grundläggande redovisningsprinciper som tillförlitlighet, jämförbarhet och väsentlighet är applicerbara på frivillig redovisning och bör gälla. Företagen tenderar att vara försiktiga med att redovisa detaljer om den interna verksamheten.

This study is part of a project to evaluate and develop metods to control the semen quality in stallions. The study was carried out in cooperation between SLU and Flyinge AB. The objective of the study was to analyse -if there are individual differences in sperm chromatin integrety between different stallions -if there is a correlation between subjectively evaluated sperm motility and sperm chromatin integrity -if sperm chromatin integrity is changed after selection of the semen with a centrifugation method through the silica-spheres, gradient or a single-layer, i.e to use the chromatin integrity analysis as a method to evaluate the selection method. The use of chilled transported semen has increased a lot during the last 10 years, especially among the Swedish warmblood breed. Because the foaling percentage has decreased with the increased use of chilled transported semen, there is a need to develop methods to control the sperm quality. Evaluation of the chromatin integrity could be one way to evaluate the quality of the semen. Chromatin is the DNA in the nucleus of the sperm.

The purpose of the study is to investigate how much interest media has shown selected topics in the corporate governance systems in Germany and Sweden. The four selected aspects are: ownership structure, employee representation on the boards, disclosure of board members? compensation and female directors on the boards. The reasons for and consequences of the similarities and differences will also be discussed. The German and Swedish corporate governance systems construct the key basis of the study, emphasised on the four chosen aspects.
