This is a study of the letters from His Majesty the King to the county governor of Gotland in 1735. In the Age of Liberty the king had limited power. Royal decisions were made with the Council of the Realm where the King only had the advantage of having two votes and a casting vote. Furthermore, the Council had to act according to the decisions of the Estates of Parliament, if at least three of the four Estates were in agreement. The duties of the county governor were set out in a detailed instruction of which the most recent version was issued in 1734.

   Did the mass media report in a different way about the real estate tax before the Swedish national election 2006 than they did after the election? If there were differences, what could be the cause?This study aims to answer these questions by using a quantitative analysis of articles about the real estate tax published in the Dagens Nyheter (DN), the biggest morning daily. The summer before the election, the ?Alliance?, (the non-socialist coalition, launched an election promise to abolish the real estate tax. Instead they planned to introduce a low community charge.The Alliance won the election and formed a government to implement their election promise. The analysis was made on all the published articles in DN that covered the real estate tax issue. In total there were 43 such articles. These where all published between the launch of the campaign promise until the electionday and a month before the proposal was launched 19/9 2007, until the proposal was implemented in 2008. The study results in three interesting conclusions.

Så kallade demokratiska skolor som Sudbury Valley i Massachusetts och Summerhill i England kombinerar individuell frihet och gemensamt ansvarstagande för att gynna både lärande och utveckling av demokratisk kompetens hos skolbarnen. Trots att deras koncept under mer än 80 års tid har visat sig vara synnerligen framgångsrikt och trots att både lärande och demokratisk kompetensutveckling står högt på agendan för skolutveckling i både Sverige och internationellt, nämns dessa skolor eller deras koncept inte alls i diskussionen om den svenska skolans utveckling.I ett samhälle där beslut skall förankras i vetenskapliga fakta, faller det rimligen på allmänpedagogikens bord att kunna förklara de nämnda skolornas framgångar.Mitt syfte är att med hjälp av relevant litteratur granska de demokratiska skolornas praktiska koncept, att undersöka möjligheter att formulera en allmänpedagogisk teori utifrån detta koncept, samt beröra den traditionella skolans utvecklingsmöjligheter i riktning som en sådan teori utpekar. En etnografisk innehållsanalytisk metod har använts för att jämföra och samordna denna litteratur. Det visar sig att befintlig kunskap ger ett utmärkt stöd för de demokratiska skolornas praktiska koncept och att analysen ger upphov till hypotesbildningar på den önskade teoretiska nivån. Frågan om den traditionella skolans utvecklingsmöjligheter i ?demokratisk? riktning måste diskuteras bland annat ur ett maktperspektiv, och ett par inlägg i en sådan diskussion finns i sista kapitlet..

The goal of this paper is to find out how solar cells can improve energy efficiency on-board M/S Sydfart. The paper is based on a number of energy measurements on board the M/S Sydfart. The solar surface is calculated by measuring the available space for installing solar panels. Global radiation data is taken from STRÅNG's database, the data is then used to calculate the theoretical power produced by the solar cells. Energy efficiency is analysed in two ways.

However, there are businesses that have an electricityneed that are particularly suitable for solar electricity. A golf club is that kind of a business and this thesis aims to examinate the solar power potential for golf businesses in Sweden.Nine golf clubs was selected from different locations in Sweden.

This paper is named ?The status of the programme is low? ? Gymnasium teacher?s thoughts and attitudes towards students in the vocational- and the educational programmes. The purpose is, as the title reveals, to examine the attitude of four teachers in the Swedish gymnasium towards the vocational and the educational programmes and the students that attend either one of them. This purpose is accompanied by research which says that the educational programmes? status is higher than one of the vocational programmes.

Denna studie handlade om överlämnande till vård inom socialtjänsten sombrottspåföljd för ungdomar. Överlämnandepåföljden är en del av straffsystemet, men ingår samtidigt i socialtjänstens verksamhet eftersom vården utformas inom denna. Straffsystemets uppgift är att orsaka lidande för ett regelbrott,medan socialtjänstens uppgift är att stödja och hjälpa behövande människor i samhället. Enligt lagen med särskilda bestämmelser om unga lagöverträdare (LuL) ska socialsekreterare utforma vårdplaner för unga lagöverträdare som kan komma att överlämnas till vård inom socialtjänsten.Denna studie syftade till att undersöka om socialsekreterare upplever svårigheter i att kombinera de straffrättsliga principerna i LuL med socialrättens principer om att ett vårdbehov ska ligga till grund för insatserna, samt hur de kombinerar dessa. Fyra socialsekreterare från Stockholm intervjuades och materialet analyserades med hjälp av Foucaults teori om disciplin och straff.Våra slutsatser var att dessa socialsekreterare inte upplevde några svårigheter med att kombinera de straffrättsliga principerna med den socialrättsliga principen.
