Visuell Radio

Visuell radio eller ljudbildspel i radio är i stort sett ett outforskat område. Att det går att göra visuell eller audiovisuell radio rent praktiskt och tekniskt står klart - publiceringsverktygen och tekniska lösningar finns. Det detta arbete problematiserar och diskuterar är hur visuell radio skulle kunna utformas och gestaltas både utifrån ett produktionsperspektiv och ett mottagarperspektiv. Detta sker genom att titta på mediaföretagens multimediala publiceringar men också genom att förstå hur deras redaktionerna tänker om hur ljud och bild kan samverka. TV and radio services have always been distributed over analogue broadcasting networks and been received on a TV -set or a radio receiver. Today this situation is changing due to digitalization and convergence between broadcasting, telecommunications and data communications. Other terminals, such as a PC, can also receive TV and radio services. Digital TV and radio can offer additional services such as e-commerce, electronic program guides and content synchronized to the TV and radio shows. If these services are to be received by several receiving terminals with different properties, the services must be adapted to the terminals.

To be able to evaluate different radio waveforms in a laboratory environment FOI in Linköping has developed an experimental system for radio communication called Rasmus. The system consists of a transmitter, a channel emulator and a receiver. The transmitter modulates a digital signal to a desired analogue waveform. The channel emulator is used to simulate a real radio channel. The channel emulator distorts the signal by splitting it up in several propagation paths.

Base stations for communication in obstructed environments

The purpose of this project was to produce signal relay stations that could receive information via 2.4 GHz radio and relay the information to a designated target station. If a relay station was located outside of signal range for the target station it was supposed to utilize other relay stations to transfer the information to the target station, so called multi-hop.The would-be application of the relay stations was orienteering. When an orienteer punches a checkpoint the signal stations would relay information of who punched the control, when it was punched and the checkpoint that was punched to the speaker tower in the goal area.The work resulted in prototypes which fulfilled the statement of purpose and was tested at an orienteering competition with satisfactory results. The performance of the prototypes was tested and found adequate for the would-be application..

Vad tror du är världens vanligaste djur?: Utveckling av ett populärvetenskapligt radioformat

Syftet med denna studie var att utveckla genren vetenskapsradio. Nyfiknare radio om vetenskapliga ämnen för målgruppen 18-35 år och som testämne, djur. Rolig, lättillgänglig och lärorik radio. Studien föregicks av en förstudie där jag gjorde kvalitativa intervjuer med två yrkesverksamma personer inom ämnesområdet. Utifrån det sammanfattade jag ett antal produktionsmetoder och i denna studie har jag producerat radioprogram utifrån dessa tillvägagångssätt.

Design and implementation of a 5GHz radio front-end module

The overall goal of this diploma work is to produce a design of a 5 GHz radio frontend using Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) and then build a working prototype. Using this prototype to determine if RF circuits at 5 GHz can be successfully produced using distributed components on a laminate substrate. The design process for the radio front-end consists of two stages. In the first stage the distributed components are designed and simulated, and in the second stage all components are merged into a PCB. This PCB is then manufactured and assembled.

Many media buyers annually spend money on advertising which will not be of benefit to their own brand; the fact that consumers confuse from which brand they have heard or seen commercials, comes as news to nobody. The phenomenon of media confusion has however earned much less attention. As a greater part of the total marketing budget is being spent on the media investments, on behalf of the actual advertising production, the more interesting it turns out to maximize the effects of the media expenses. The search for optimization is somewhat practised today by brand managers who are daringly adding a few more media channels to support their TV-campaigns. Buying ad space in TV is nevertheless much more expensive than the radio equivalent.

Fotboll i radio eller TV?

Den här uppsatsen är en jämförande undersökning av hur kommentatorer för fotboll jobbar i radio respektive television (TV). Kommentator som arbetar med expertkommentator är fokuseringen i detta arbete. Metoden jag använde för att komma fram till ett svar var att jag analyserade landskampen mellan Wales och Sverige för att se skillnader och likheter hur kommentatorerna jobbar i de olika medierna. Från matchen har jag sen valt ut viktiga och intressanta situationer som jag studerat närmare. Jag har även gjort kvalitativa intervjuer med kommentatorerna Paul Zyra (Radiosporten) och Jesper Hussfelt (TV4) som arbetade med den ovannämnda matchen.
