This report is a qualitative study on children aged three to five years who are in the Swedish preschool. The purpose of the study is to investigate how five experienced preschool teachers view the way children between three and five years acquire basic mathematical concepts, basic numeracy and geometry. The aim is also to find out whether teachers feel that the size of the group of children affects their learning.The study contains information about what preschool teachers think about the way children learn mathematics and how the size of the group of children affects this learning. From the results it can be seen that children learn Mathematics, both in everyday situations and when playing. Moreover, the group size does not seem to affect the mathematical learning of the child.

To self-archive is to make research publications freely accessible by depositing them in an open digital archive or on a public website. The aim of this thesis is to explore what Swedish scientists think of self-archiving, what they know about it and how they make use of it, in order to understand why they do not self-archive more actively.A web survey was conducted which was answered by 296 scientists at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Results show that only 24 % have previous experience of self-archiving, but that a majority is willing to self-archive if there are no legal objections or if it is demanded by the research funder. The most important reasons why many scientists do not self-archive are that they feel uncertain about copyright issues and/or lack knowledge about self-archiving..

The Swedish government corporation Försäkringskassan is currently undergoing large organizational changes. Modifications are made regarding the national insurance system and work procedures. In this study we have investigated the procedures of change with the aim of identifying which pedagogical processes in work procedures that enables organizational learning. Furthermore, the study aimed at gaining insight of how the work procedures enable organizational learning in a learning organization. We have utilized case study tradition to examine specific occurrences in their natural environment to thereby understand the matter of investigation.

This project is a study in how to represent the Swedish magician and variety artist Carl-Einar Häckner in a web-based environment. With a starting point focusing on illustration I wanted to produce a web environment that would function as a prototype for a webpage. My personal aim was to explore and gain new experiences from working in a digital interactive environment. I wanted to use animation and illustration to create an atmosphere and communicate emotions, and in the end find out a way of how to integrate that with a more text based content. The purpose of this Bachelor thesis in religious history, is to examine how religion reflects in the artwork and in the architecture in old and new kingdom in ancient Egypt, also to explore how book of the death reflects in the artwork. By means of using the visual culture theory, I have analyzing the selected pice of art with myths and texts from the ancient religion, to been able to come the the results of this study. It was know that religion had a major part in the artwork of ancient Egypt, especially in the new kingdom. In the old kingdom pharaoh generally was in the centre of the art, but also the gods. In new kingdom they started to illustrate texts and myths from book of the death, and the life after death was of great matter.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att bistå stadsingenjörskontoret vid Sandvikens kommun som behöver hjälp att mäta in mark, vägar och objekt som kan påverka genomförandet av en detaljplan för etablering av småhustomter i södra Årsunda. Inmätning av området utfördes med en totalstation Leica TPS 1203+ inlånad från Högskolan i Gävle. Totalstation valdes för att få en hög noggrannhet i höjdmätningar av vägar och brunnar. Behandling av mätdata och framställning av en karta och en terrängmodell gjordes i programvaran Geo. Kartan presenteras i A3-format som en bilaga till rapporten och är en kombination av fastighetsgränser, fastighetsbeteckningar och byggnader ur Sandvikens kommuns primärkarta, sammanslaget med detta projekts inmätningar i området. Terrängmodellen visualiserar områdets höjdskillnader på cirka 3 m genom färgkodning och presenteras som en figur i resultatdelen. .

The purpose of this study is to examine how activities are looked upon, organized and put into practice at homes designed for the elderly. To achieve this we have done a survey study, based upon the caregiver´s point of view regarding the subject activity. The result of this study has been interpreted and analyzed with help from the engagement- and disengagement theories. The result shows us that the caregiver´s find the term activity slightly abstract, and rather difficult to define. All of the caregiver´s did agree on the matter that it?s good to activate elderly people and that the elderly people are activated at a large extent.

Syftet med denna studie var att se effekten och upplevelsen av två månaders sjukgymnastik och informationsöverföring på distans via videokommunikation i realtid för en axelledsopererad patient och dennes slutenvårds- och öppenvårdssjukgymnast. Studien involverade en patient som opererades vid Sunderby sjukhus (SY). Efter utskrivningen genomfördes sjukgymnastik på distans med sjukgymnasten på sjukhuset och patienten i hemmet under två månaders tid. Den teknik som har använts är videokommunikation Integrated System Digital Network (ISDN), (TV-monitor, kamera, mikrofon, belysning och videobandspelare), som kopplats in via det digitala telefonnätverket dels i patientens hem dels på sjukhuset. Resultaten visade att patientens smärta reducerades och att axelrörlighet, funktionsförmåga, muskelstyrka, sömn, hälsorelaterad livskvalitet och tillfredsställelse förbättrades efter operationen och två månaders sjukgymnastik på distans via videokommunikation..

In this examination paper I?m using the qualitative method: phenomenographic analysis to present twenty educated and working pre-school teachers opinions about being outdoors in Swedish pre-school. The purpose is to describe the variation between different pre-school teachers? opinions, not to focus on wrong or right.    The paper starts with a review over the opinions presented by the literature on the subject.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka samverkan mellan fritidshem och hem, vad som kommuniceras, hur kommunikationen sker och i vilka syften. Frågeställningarna i studien är: Vad är det som kommuniceras mellan fritidshem och hem? Hur sker kommunikationen mellan fritidshem och hem enligt lärarna?I studien användes kvalitativ insamlingsmetod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Åtta lärare i fritidshem intervjuades på sammanlagt tre skolor. Resultatet visar att kommunikationen mellan fritidshem och hem oftast rör elevens dag på fritidshemmet, schematider, ledighet och trivsel. Det framgår att innehållet i kommunikationen är det som styr valet av kommunikationsmedel.

På grund av ökad urbanisering och exploatering av grönområden i stadsnära miljöer fragmenteras och reduceras arters habitat vilket bland annat ligger till grund för den globalt minskade biologiska mångfalden. För att stärka och förbättra arters möjlighet till spridning i landskapet, och därmed säkra en hög biologisk mångfald, efterfrågas insamling av data och utveckling av nya metoder för att identifiera ekologiska kärnområden och för att analysera habitatnätverk. Syftet med den här studien är därför att 1) kartera och sammanställa biotoper i en biotopdatabas utifrån tolkning av infraröda flygbilder med digital stereofotogrammetri, 2) undersöka olika metoder att samla in data med hjälp av laser- och höjddata, och 3) att tillämpa landskapsekologisk analys på underlag i biotopkarteringen.Resultatet validerar att tolkning av infraröda flygbilder med digital stereofotogrammetri är en utmärkt källa för att kartera biotoper som medför en tolkningsnoggrannhet på 86 %. Valideringen av kateringen genomfördes med fältkontroller som utvärderades i felmatriser. En metod har även undersökts baserat på tidigare studier för att uppskatta busk- och krontäckning med hjälp av laserdata, men eftersom det saknas validering av resultatet bör den användas som en indikator för att visuellt uppskatta busk- och krontäckning i dagsläget.

SharePoint is a web based platform designed to provide internal communications and file sharing for businesses and organizations.In this project, we created a system consisting of multiple applications to be used together with SharePoint. These applications are meant to simplify the workflow for internal orders of products. The system is targeted towards companies that do not have a flexible approach to digital orders or companies that want to integrate this functionality into their SharePoint platform. The project includes, in addition to the creation of the system, installation of the software and the servers needed to run a SharePoint environment and their configurations.The system consists of four applications where one of these, the store application, is required for the system to be used at all. The other applications are an order management application, a purchase application and an incoming delivery application. Of these four, we have implemented the store application and the order management application. Our hope is that users will find the system easy to use and graphically appealing..
