The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine children's communication and interaction during story time at the public library. The aim is also to examine how to develop the story time ? in terms of participation and equality ? at a specific library.Action research was used as a research strategy and participant observation, log, tutoring and interviews as methods to collect data. Since action research is done on the basis of practice, a significant collaboration with the librarian and the participant children is taking place within this study.Research from the fields of Library and Information Science, Education and Childhood Sociology form the interdisciplinary research area to which this study links. The theoretical framework consists of theory and concepts from the Socio-cultural Perspective, Poststrucuralist Feminism and Childhood Sociology.

Denna uppsats består av en intervjustudie som behandlar vilken bild av begreppet IKT, informations- och kommunikationsteknik, lärare verksamma inom de tidiga åren på grundskolan har samt deras inställning till att använda IKT-verktyg, som exempelvis dator och internet, i sin undervisning. Halvstrukturerade intervjusamtal utfördes enskilt med sex lärare verksamma på samma skola, men inom olika enheter, tre som undervisar för årskurs 1 och tre som undervisar för årskurs 3. Frågorna berörde deras egen definition av IKT-begreppet, hur de förhåller sig till de digitala verktygen, deras inställning till IKT i undervisningen samt deras tankar om vad som påverkat deras attityder.I det insamlade materialet redovisas bland annat att de intervjuade lärarna beskriver sig själva som positiva till att lyfta in tekniska verktyg i undervisningen. Däremot presenterar de skilda uppfattningar om hur viktigt IKT är i deras undervisning samt vilken funktion den fyller och vad IKT-begreppet innefattar. Framförallt lärarnas attityder till IKT granskas vidare i analysavsnittet, både i skenet av tidigare forskning samt utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på hur lärarnas attityder skapas.

With the help of large amount of archive material I have examined how Gustavsberg in Värmdö were affected by the great labor migration in Gustavsberg porcelain factory during the period 1869-1924. I have chosen to investigate how the municipality dealt with the poverty relief issue out of the labour immigration perspective. To my surprise I found out that Värmdö was not responsible for Gustavsberg in the poverty issue. The workers belonged to the factory, which had a relatively well-developed system of poverty relief in place. This is not to say that the workers received any support from the factory to any great extent.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how libraries can organize their collections in terms of library shelving and displays and to what extent these activities stem from a desire to create a user-friendly library. The thesis is based upon a case study of Arkenbiblioteket in Sweden and the material consists of a literature study and qualitative, semi-structured interviews with three librarians at Arkenbiblioteket. The theoretical framework consists of theories on information-seeking behavior, classification and displays. These theories form the basis of the analysis of the empirical material.The main reason for the changes in shelf arrangement at Arkenbiblioteket was a desire among the library staff to create a user-friendly library.

Men där tystheten från början råder visar sig både det ena och det andra utav märkligheter uppstå! Effekterna för den mörka upplevelsen är prioriterad framför en begriplig handling, och därför finns inga övertydliga budskap som underskattar betraktarens egna slutsatser av filmen. Computer games is a growing market with over millions of players that are playing and/or enjoying the play of games on a daily basis. The nerdy gamers that once were, are now becoming professional athletes in the virtual world called eSport. We have identified a lack of studies in this area which implies that there is little data of what it is. In this paper we have focused on the phenomena that is eSport and more closely on the game series Starcraft made by Blizzard Entertainment. Our focus lies in the game series Starcraft and eSport organisations mainly outside South Korea.

Population Commission which was established in 1935 concluded that one of the biggest social problems was the working women?s heavy workload. To deal with the low birth rate reforms and programs were founded both in order to help the women but also in order to support the inadequate motherhood. Government grants were set up to start the so-called vacation home for housewives where the government?s visions of the vacation homes were active rest and recreation.     Based on the Leisure Inquiry report regarding vacation homes for housewives - the purpose of this paper is to examine how the government visions regarding vacation homes for housewives were practiced and how the future of prevailing gender contract affected the holiday home.

This two years master's thesis examines the experience of children who read to a dog. The theoretical framework is inspired by sociocultural theory developed by Roger Säljö and the concept carnival inspired by Mikhail Bakhtin. The sociocultural theory has been chosen because it emphasizes the role of practice, instruments and communication in learning and the concept carnival has been chosen to analyze the experience of reading to a dog.The method used is qualitative interview and observation. A total of eight interviews and two observations when children read to a dog have been collected. One interview is with a teacher and seven interviews are with the children (six children participated and one child was interviewed twice).

Eslöv received its city privileges in the year 1911 and to celebrate the city?s 100th jubilee it has been decided, among many other things, to reinvigorate the City park. This master thesis presents a new proposal for the design of the City park. As a basis for the new proposal a study of the public park is made in a social and structural context as well as a study of the history of the Eslöv City park. The history of the Eslöv City park is somewhat unclear, especially if there has ever been a one design for the whole park? To create a picture of the public park in general, a study of literature has been made and to describe the history of the City park I Have researched the city archive in Eslöv.

Kandidatarbetet undersöker vilken försäljningsmetod man som utvecklare ska använda sig av för att få största möjliga förtjänst, när man säljer ett spel på Androids marknad. De försäljningsmetoder, som studerats, är reklam, prissatt och in app billing. Från insamlad statistik av Google och enkäter har en förståelse kring vilken metod att föredra tagits fram. Jag har i det här arbetet gjort en analys av skillnaden mellan analog och digital summering avljudspår. Analyserna gjordes med avseende på frekvensspektrum, transientrespons och fasdifferens.Det gjordes genom att jag skrev och spelade in två låtar att använda till analyserna, mixade dessaoch körde ut till 24 separata ljudspår per låt. De summerades sedan på tre olika mixerbord och i treolika mjukvaror, för att sedan med Adobe Audition analysera hur frekvensspektrum,transientrespons och fasdifferens ändrats. Därefter gjordes genomsnitt för de analoga och de digitalasummeringarna för att se om det fanns några skillnader dem emellan. Även om det fanns gott omskillnader mellan mixerborden så var fasdifferenser det enda som var genomgående för alla analogasummeringar mot de digitala..

New forms of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have become more influential in development contexts. The concept of ?The Digital Divide? points at a large division between rich and poor countries regarding access to ICTs.
