Diamond är ett dokumenthanteringssystem som har utvecklats av Sogeti och används för att generera och distribuera rapporter till fördefinierade destinationer. Diamond använder sig av en databas för att lagra referenser till de destinationer som rapporten skall hamna på och rapportmallar som rapporten skall generas utefter. För att konfigurera databasen har Sogeti ett gränssnitt men det anses som svåranvänt. Vårt uppdrag var att skapa ett nytt mer lättanvänt gränssnitt till databasen som används av Diamond. Under projektets gång kom det även fram önskemål att kunna se historik över de rapporter som genererats av Diamond.Vi har gått från att skapa två olika designförslag till att skapa prototyper baserade på dem.

The civil war in Sierra Leone was a very complicated conflict, both in its origin as well as in its realization. Many actors, along with the Diamond trade, played vital parts in making the war carry on for a decade. In this paper I will try to clarify the relations between the actors and the Diamonds, first and foremost the part the Diamonds played in the conflicts start and continuation. I will also show what has happened in the country and in the Diamond industry after the wars conclusion. What I find is that Diamonds did not play the only part in the origin of the conflict but that the poor economic state the country was in had its part.

The purpose of this study is to find out how some Swedish preschool teacher discussing how children's Swedish colloquial interaction can be enhanced in the free play. In this case where children are aged three to five.My research questions in the study are:-          What type of free play do preschool teachers talk about in relation to children's Swedish colloquial development?-          What do preschool teachers say about child's colloquial interaction?-           How do preschool teachers reason regarding in what environment children?s colloquial interaction occurs?In my study I have used an interview with elements of a visual method called The Diamond. The approach is that the participants in the interview will be enhanced to discussing about a wise certain number of images. These images are then to be ranked accordingly with a specific theme and terms.If a child has difficult to speak, you can take help of  the interest the child has, the child can tell you and the other children what he or she know about the interest.

I avloppsvattnet förekommer både naturliga och antropogena ämnen som kan orsaka en negativ miljöpåverkan, såsom eutrofiering och en syrefattig recipient. Förekomsten av näringsämnen och organiskt material kan också vara en värdefull resurs, för det slam som återstår efter reningsstegen i avloppsreningsverket kan användas för att höja näringshalten i till exempel skogar och på åkermark. För att minska risken för skador på reningsprocessen, en negativ miljöpåverkan på recipienten genom skadliga ämnen som passerar genom avloppsreningsverket samt en negativ miljöpåverkan på grund av ett förorenat slam är det betydelsefullt att fokusera på mängden skadliga ämnen som förs till anläggningen. Syftet med examensarbetet är att kartlägga förekomsten av hushållskemikalier hos sex hushåll i Västerås som är anslutna till det kommunala reningsverket, studera befintlig litteratur som beskriver vad som sker med utvalda kemikalier då de når avloppsreningsverk i allmänhet, och sedan jämföra detta med Kungsängsverket. De sex hushållens sammanlagda antal produkter var 293 stycken, varav 66 var rengöringsprodukter, 16 tvättprodukter, 112 badrumsprodukter och 99 stycken var garageprodukter.

Examensarbetets mål är att rengöra en diamantkomposit med en ytrengöringsmetod. Metoden skulle vara mera effektiv än den manuella sandblästring som används idag för att ytrengöra detaljen.Detaljen är liten och har ett vitalt spår som ska rengöras. Detta ställer höga krav på effektiva metoder. De metoder som tas upp teoretiskt i examensarbetet är bland annat blästring, trumling och laserrengöring. Ett urval av metoderna testades.

The aim of the following paper has been to test the democratic peace theory through applying it on the conflict between Russia and Georgia in 2008.  This to either falsify the theory or come to the conclusion that the states? democracy was not satisfactory in regards to the definition of liberal democracy. The questions asked are: Was Russia and Georgia democratic states? Is democracy a protection from war? And which aspects of the liberal democratic theory, if any, were not satisfactory in either of the countries? The results show that the democratic peace theory is valid in this case and that neither one of the states were democratic.

Developing good reading skills is crucial for all pupils in school, and the reading bookis a tool for achieving that. Pupils are entitled to good reading instruction, regardless ofwhich reading level they are at, and regardless of the level of the reader they have beengiven. The aim of the study is to examine a particular teaching material and describe thedifferences that exist between a simpler and a more difficult variant of the same reader.The study is a textual analysis focused on the two readers for grade 2 from the materialDiamantjakten (The Diamond Hunt). The study shows that the two books display greatdifferences. Reading the simpler book involves a smaller amount of text, fewerdescriptive expressions, and a smaller number of words, but it does make demands onthe reader?s ability to read between the lines.

AbstractSierra Leone is a very poor country in Africa. Botswana is another country, that has a similar history and the same deposit; Diamonds. Botswana has reached economic growth and democracy and Sierra Leone has not.The purpose with this study is to explain why Botswana is more democratic and has reached a better result economic than Sierra Leone.The questions in this study are:What explains the democratic and the economic results in Sierra Leone and Botswana?* Dahl?s institutions that furthers a polyarchy?* Gunnarsson?s and Rojas? institutional explanations?* Diamond?s and Morlino?s ?rule of law??* Other explanations or a combination of the above-mentioned explanations?The method that has been used in this study is a comparative case study with a qualitative contents analysis. The result is that it?s hard to say that one explanation is the right one.

Demokrati har i olika former under närmare 2500 år varit en del av de politiska system som existerat i världen. Under årens lopp har det som idag klassas som en demokrati utvecklats från det antika Grekland, som handlade främst om fria mäns rösträtt till mer komplexa former som inkluderar bland annat mänskliga rättigheter. Att demokratin dessutom högst troligt inte bara spridits mellan platser och samhällen utan troligen uppstått i olika former helt oberoende av tidigare demokratier gör demokratin till ett något komplext och svårdefinierat fenomen (Dahl, 1998:7-9).Fördelningen av demokrati geografiskt sett har även den varierat, från att främst existera i västvärlden har demokrati nu börjat spridas och även förekomma i övriga delar av världen, så som utvecklingsländer, dock under olika förutsättningar och former. Den demokratiska utvecklingen i Afrika, och då speciellt afrikanska stater söder om Sahara, har dock hamnat något efter men fick under nittiotalet ett större genomslag genom en rad händelser, till exempel frigivningen av Nelson Mandela i Sydafrika. Antalet demokratier i hela Afrika var därför i slutet av nittiotalet mellan 9 och 17, beroende på hur begreppet definieras (Diamond, 1999:1-2).

Den här studiens syfte är att undersöka två olika läromedel i engelska för årskurs 9 utifrån ett genusperspektiv och hur väl läromedlen relaterar till läroplanens jämställdhetsfrågor. Våra frågeställningar är Hur framställs kvinnor och män utifrån ett genusperspektiv? och Hur relaterar läromedlen i engelskundervisningen till de jämställdhetsfrågor som tas upp i LGR11?Vi utgår ifrån socialkonstruktionism och genusteori och sammanlänkar dessa i begreppet doing gender. Genom att använda en kvalitativ innehållsanalys tillsammans med den så kallade genustrappan har vi analyserat alla texter i dessa två böcker. Resultatet visar att det finns brister, sett ur ett genusperspektiv, i synliggörandet av män och kvinnor och att böckerna förmedlar en könsstereotypisk bild av båda könen.

FYROM has a long tradition of producing wine. Wine production in FYROM is one of the greatest contributors of the agricultural share of their GDP. The aim of the thesis is to see if the wine production in FYROM has a comparative advantage compared to other countries that produce wine and if FYROM is able to sustain the advantage in the future. The countries chosen for comparison are Bulgaria, Croatia, France and Italy. The methods used in the thesis are the Balassa Index and Porter?s Diamond of National Advantage.
