By using steady-state measurements for predicting emissions under a dynamic drive cycle wouldsave a lot of time and money for the exhaust aftertreatment specialists at Volvo cars. The idea forthis thesis has been to investigate if statistical regression models can be used with good accuracy.Questions included are for example if common operating variables such as engine speed, air-fuelratio etc. is sufficient to predict engine-out emissions over the engine operating range with goodaccuracy. Focus was set on the modelling of warm engine, but also the more complex engineheat-up phase was investigated since it is a great contributor to total emissions. While NOxcouldnot be measured because of malfunctioning measurement equipment, only HC, CO andtemperature at inlet of first catalytic converter has been modelled.

To conclude this year?s introductory course in Mechatronics the students, in groups of 6,constructed a prototype based on the technical requirements established by the course teachers.This year they consisted of the following: two wheels only, active balancing, remote controlledand able to stop when crossing a pre-determined marker on the ground. Katter med HCM kan leva länge men ett ansenligt antal drabbas av hjärtsvikt, arteriell tromboembolism (ATE) eller plötslig död. Sjukdomen karakteriseras av en icke kongenital koncentrisk hypertrofi utan dilatation av vänster kammare. Etiologin för sjukdomen är inte helt klarlagd men den har visats vara genetiskt betingad hos flera raser och ha ett autosomalt dominant nedärvningsmönster. Kliniskt är HCM en uteslutningsdiagnos som ställs vid en ultraljudsundersökning av hjärtat då andra orsaker till hjärtmuskelhypertrofi uteslutits. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka dödsorsaker och överlevnaden hos katter diagnosticerade med HCM samt att undersöka olika kliniska variablers diagnostiska värde. Katter som under perioden 2005-01-01 till 2010-12-31 fick diagnosen HCM på Universitetsdjursjukhuset i Uppsala men ej utvecklat kongestiv hjärtsvikt vid diagnostillfället inkluderades i studien.

This thesis concerns how the power quality in the grid is affected by the connection of wind power plants. As things are at present, Fortum Distribution AB has a number of wind turbines and wind parks connected to the own grid. As the pressure on building and connecting additional wind power is increasing, so is also the interest of how the already existing wind power generation affects the power quality in the nearby distribution grids. The study is performed by direction of Fortum Distribution AB and is limited to the 10 kV/40 kV-grid in Bohuslän, Sweden. The methods for calculation of power quality are compared to the results of a number of measurements.

In this rapport different aspects of delivery dependability will be dealt with, and a weight will be on what to measure and how to measure it together with how to present the outcome of the measurements. A discussion has also been held regarding what goal the company should have on its dependability.

Bakgrund: Under 1900-talet skedde flera teknologiska framsteg och Relevance Lost-debatten förändrade synen på den traditionella ekonomistyrningen. De två målstyrningssystemen, det balanserade styrkortet och Hoshin Kanri, anses delvis besvara kritiken samt möjliggöra för företag att implementera sina strategier. Begreppet målkongruens beskrivs på olika sätt av olika författare, varför begreppet är intressant att undersöka samt hur målkongruens kan uppnås i företags planeringsprocesser.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva planeringsprocessen i målstyrningssystem samt att förklara hur målkongruens uppnås. Vidare är syftet att precisera begreppet målkongruens samt formulera en metod för att stärka målkongruens.Metod: För att uppnå uppsatsens syfte har två fallstudier gjorts med två företag som arbetat med att implementera och utveckla arbetet med ett balanserat styrkort och Hoshin Kanri. Tre intervjuer har genomförts på respektive företag med personer med god insyn i och erfarenhet av arbetet med målstyrningssystemen det balanserade styrkortet och Hoshin Kanri.Resultat: De båda målstyrningssystemen är mycket lika.

The lack of quality of the cadastral index map dose not allows property-owners to know where to draw the boundary between their and others' property. In order to know where to find the boundaries between two properties, is it up to the property-owners themselves (self or in company by the other property-owner) to construct various usucaption at the boundaries. The main objective of the study is to verify the existence and extent of usucaption on forest properties in Bodan, a village outside Skellefteå.

Studien undersöker om huruvida Lindberg och Graléns tvistmetod är möjlig att vidareutveckla och tillämpa vid mätning av friktionskraft fiber mot fiber med en dragprovare. Extrautrustning har konstruerats och monteras i anslutning till dragprovarens klämmor, då uppnås önskad geometri för tvistmetoden. Friktions- koefficienten beräknas med avstamp från en given formel. Material som undersöks är Polyamid 6.6 (PA 6.6) samt Polytetrafluoreten (PTFE). Testmetoden har optimerats genom försök där tvistantal, pålagd last och fiber- diameter har varierats vid ett konstant avstånd mellan dragprovarens klämmor.

There are two objectives of this study.The first one was to study the new instrument Deltack fromPrufbau, and with the new knowledge, study the interaction between blanket and paper.Deltack is a new instrument to measure the ink splitting force. Blankets from an earlier study doneby GATF have been montered on 12 different Deltack print forms and those have together with Deltackbeen the base for this project.This study together with information from GATF?s study shows that some of the blankets have ahigher capability to adsorb ink. Those blankets generate a sharper shape on the force curve, they havea lower dot gain, but they print not as good solid..

The purpose of this study is to investigate how to use remote sensing data when making a forest management plan. The main focus of the study is to compare different methods to identify forest stands of a forest property, and by manual measures and estimates try to evaluate the quality of interpreting data. This report is based on survey questions sent to five different organizations working with remote sensing data. Only two of these where willing to participate in this investigation. The organizations where asked to analyze the same forest property and divide into compartments and make estimations of volume, basal area etc. in every stand.

Women ledaers and profitability, is there a correlation? Earlier research show different outcome on the correlation between women leaders and profitability. A Swedish consultant firm, Caran has a belief that more women leaders would create more financial profit, we ask us if that is the true situation. Using two different IC measurement methods we have shown the difficulties in calculate intagible resources, which methods that can/ can not be used and if women leders create financial value. We found the women leaders in Caran to add more value per dollar spent on the woman leaders than the value added per dollar spent on men leaders.

This paper examines the customer relationships of a telecom operator and how their customer accounting is done. The aim is to use the framework developed by Lind & Strömsten (2006) to categorize customer relationships and see to what extent the framework predicts which type of customer accounting method is used for each customer relationship. A case study was made at Telenor Sverige AB where different customer relationships are identified and linked to the customer accounting techniques that are used for financial measurement of the customers. Findings include that all but one of the customer relationships described in the framework were recognized at Telenor and that most customer accounting techniques mentioned in the framework were in fact used and associated with different customer relationships. The results of the case study also highlight that some differences exist between the predictions of the framework and the observations at Telenor..
