Background: Every year, 2000 persons in Sweden are diagnosed with malignant melanoma, the most alarming form of skincancer. Sunexposure, sunburns and tanningbed use are the most appearing causes in the development of this disease. The skin of young people is sensitive to UV-radiation and their sunbehaviour could be determinant to their future health. Purpose: To illuminate the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents towards sunexposure in the meaning to avoid the development of malignant melanoma. Method: The study was designed to be a literature review, containing scientific articles of both qualitative and quantitative approach.

Kroppens organ består av många miljoner celler, som har sin uppgift i det organ de befinner sig i. När en cell dör ersätts den med en ny som har samma uppgift. Cellerna samarbetar och kommunicerar via olika signaler, vilket är en förutsättning för att kroppen ska fungera. Cancercellerna delar på sig snabbt vilket leder till celltillväxt. cancer är den vanligaste dödsorsaken i Sverige, efter hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar.

Bakgrund: Människor som inkluderas i varandras liv har stor påverkan på varandra. Varje gång ett barn insjuknar i cancer drabbas således hela barnets familj. Familjerelationer och vardagen blir turbulent jämfört med den trygghet familjen vanligtvis erbjuder och de friska syskonen hamnar ofta i skymundan. Syskonen drabbas, till följd av situationen, utav såväl somatiska som psykologiska problem och kan behöva hjälp av stödinsatser för att kunna ta sig igenom vardagen. Syfte: Att beskriva resultatet av stödinsatser som finns för syskon till cancersjuka barn.

The purpose of this study was to highlight the type of actions that can facilitate people with Asperger syndrome to get and keep a job in the regular labour market. Four interviews were done with people who have been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and who got a job in the regular labour market. The study shows that efforts from society and friends at work have played a role when they had got their jobs and when they managed to keep it. The study shows that these efforts have strengthened their self-image and confidence. The study also shows that adaptations in the work, the ability to control over social contacts and the importance of having a job may have contributed to the respondents stayed in the workplace.

BACKGROUND: Previous research shows that many nurses feel that patients with borderlinepersonality disorder (BPD) are more difficult to provide care to than patients with otherdiagnoses. Experiences of these meetings with BPD patients are often negative. With thisbackground, a literature study was made in order to elucidate the patients' perspective. AIM:Compiling knowledge of how patients diagnosed with BPD experience their treatment and themeeting with health care professionals. METHOD: Through the databases PsycINFO andPubMed, twelve qualitative articles were selected and summarized in a literature study.

Hjärntumör kan vara en kronisk sjukdom som påverkar människan på många olika sätt. Sjukdomens förlopp, behandling och prognos inverkar på den fysiska psykiska och sociala hälsan och därmed påverkar människors livskvalitet och välbefinnande. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelse av livskvalitet och att leva med hjärntumör hos vuxna människor. En beskrivande systematisk litteraturstudie användes för att analysera de elva vetenskapliga artiklarna. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: fysiska förändringar medför svårigheter i det dagliga arbetet, känslomässig påfrestning innebär lidande, att känna dödsångest och att känna behov av socialt stöd.

Preventive measurements as well as clinical caries diagnostics are vital to retain a good dental health in the population. In order for optimal caries diagnostics radiographs are used. There is a great intra- and intervariation regarding cariesprogression. A large number of tools for cariesprevention at home or in the clinic are today used. The aim of this journal study was to compare the progression of carieslesions in the approximal area, diagnosed on radiographs, and preventive measures used to reduce cariesprogression between two examine dates on two dental clinics.

The aim of the essay was to see how the respondents reasoned about different themes like, isolation, integration and barriers to integration, given that they had all been diagnosed with a psychosis diagnosis. The essay takes part of secondary data that had been gathered through interviews by researchers at the department of Research and Development Psychiatric South Stockholm during a 3 year period. We have interviewed three adults with the diagnosis of Asperger syndrome with the aim to let them tell us about what it means to have a neuropsychiatric disability.

Background: Every year 56 million people die around the world and it is estimated that 60% of these people are in need of palliative care. It has been shown that patients in the palliative care experienced their situation as uncertain. When life no longer was certain, the patients tried to live their life day by day and make the best of it. Problem: When patients were diagnosed with an incurable disease the future became unsure, because their life would come to an end. Therefore patients with a palliative diagnosis could be in need of experiencing feelings of security.

The purpose of the study was to discover how nurses can maintain a good quality of life for cancerpatients at the end of life. We examined seven scientific articles in accordance with Polit, Beck & Hungler (2001) criteria for scientific validity. We used Carnevali's (1996) model of demand and resources as a frame of reference. The results showed that physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs affect quality of life in different ways. Background: Fibromyalgia is a disease wich involve cronic pain and fatigue. The disease has appeared for a long time, but it has resently become possible to diagnose. It is still unclear what cause the disease, and the treatment of it is therefore still diffuse. The lack of knowledge leads to a lot of discussions and the diagnosis is questioned. Purpose: To study how patients with fibromyalgia experineces the attitudes from staff in hospitals and health centers.
