The main purpose of this study is to analyze texts written by pupils during the national test in the subject Swedish for grade 9 in order to identify and illustrate how they have met the instructions for the writing task including genre. The texts have been analyzed using Palmér & Östlund-Stjärnegårdh?s (2005) model for student text analysis. This model has been supplemented by studying word and sentence length, as well as indexes for level of readability (LIX) and word variation (OVIX) in order to illustrate possible differences in a gender perspective. The results of this study are in line with previous research, as the girls? texts are longer and more descriptive, while the boys? texts are shorter and show a wider range of word variation.

Ishockey är en explosiv idrott och plyometriska övningar främjar explosiviteten, en ishockeyspelare behöver explosiv styrka för att prestera på isen. Syftet med den genomförda studien var att genom ett sammanlagt nio veckor långt plyometriskt träningsprogram, under off-season perioden, undersöka effekten på accelerationsförmåga, snabbhet i riktningsförändringar och kraftutveckling i nedre extremiteterna hos manliga juniorishockeyspelare. Totalt deltog åtta manliga juniorishockeyspelare. I undersökningen användes mätinstrumenten Harres test, Muscle Lab model 4000 (Ergotest Technology, Norge), 10 meter Sprint test och Power and Force explosiv knäböjning i Smith-maskin. Resultatet visade på signifikanta samband mellan för- och eftertestet för riktningsförändringar.

Enligt kommunikationsmyndigheten PTS finns det cirka 10miljoner mobiltelefonabonnemang endast i Sverige. Telefonerna innehåller operativsystem där det tillåts mängder av olika sorters program. I och med att Apple 2007 introducerade sin iPhone exploderade marknaden för så kallade Nomadic Devices. En telefon som mer är tänkt att fungera som någon form av handdator. Dessa telefoners utformning och funktioner möjliggör för utvecklare att ta fram mer avancerade program än man tidigare sett för mobiltelefoner.

                    Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur pedagoger i förskola och förskoleklass kan arbeta för att göra barns lärande kring grundläggande taluppfattning lustfyllt i meningsfulla sammanhang. Undersökningen bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med tre förskollärare och två matematikutvecklare. Vi använde oss av semistrukturerade frågor. Av resultaten framgår att pedagogerna har en medveten och strukturerad planering där barnen utmanas på rätt nivå. Pedagogerna både väcker intresse för matematik och tar tillvara på barnens egna idéer. Det gör att barnens grundläggande taluppfattning stärks på ett lustfyllt och meningsfullt sätt och barnen utvecklar lust att lära och tillit till sin egen förmåga. Slutsatserna av undersökningen är att dialogen mellan pedagog och barn är mycket betydelsefull.

A method for measuring the total impulse from a multi hole diesel injector, introduced inprevious thesis work, ?Development of a method and a device for measuring the momentumrate of fuel sprays?, by Mikael Lindström, has been further developed and tested. The conceptis to simultaneously deflect all sprays from a multi hole diesel injector by using a bell shapeddeflector. The fuel sprays are deflected straight down from their initial umbrella angle, andthe resulting deflection force is measured in a thin strained section of the load cell. The strainis given by three strain gauges, with quarter-bridge circuitry for each gauge.

Vilket samband finns mellan läsförståelse och elevernas möjligheter att lyckas med aritmetiska, kontextlösa uppgifter?Teori: Formulering av forskningsfrågor och analys av resultat utgår från en socialkonstruktivistisk och sociokulturell förståelse. Studien bygger på kvantitativ metod som analyserats med hjälp av statistiska grundteorier. Metod: Metoden i undersökningen är kvantitativ.

This report reflects an examination work performed for Getrag All Wheel Drive AB during the spring of 2005. Among the companies range of products there exists some concern regarding the amount of clamping force and friction on bolted joints caused by the assembly torque.The aim of this project has been to determine if there is a simple way in which to identify and then practically apply testing methods for clamping force and friction through utilization of existing testing equipment.Three separate methods of clamping force and friction determination have been tested in rear drive unit, RDU, at a 30 Nm assembly torque. A fourth and final method, screw elongation with ultrasound, has been used as reference. Denna rapport är en del av en longitudinell studie av psykolingvistisk ålder och språklig medvetenhet hos elever i årskurs 1 på två olika skolor i Vallentuna kommun. I studien har material från de tre senaste projektåren bearbetats. Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka huruvida fonologisk träning enligt den s.k. Bornholmsmodellen under elevernas tid i 6-årsklass återspeglar sig i ökad språklig medvetenhet och högre psykolingvistisk ålder i årskurs 1. Vidare undersöktes om den fonologiska träningen kan ha påverkat barnens arbetsminne.

Ovarian stimulation in assisted reproduction often leads to the production of a high number of oocytes. After fertilization of these oocytes, the resulting embryos can be cryopreserved for later use. Vitrification is a recently introduced method for cryostoring embryos, showing high survival rates for both cleavage stage embryos and blastocysts. Characteristic of vitrification are high concentrations of cryoprotectants and ultra fast freezing which makes the material glassily. A major concern with vitrification has been the direct contact of the cryo-solutions with liquid nitrogen.

Prosodi utgörs bland annat av variationer i tonhöjd, så kallade tonglidningar. Dessa tonglidningar förmedlar såväl språkligt som emotionellt innehåll i talet. Förmågan att uppfatta skillnader i tonhöjd kallas frekvensdiskriminering. Eftersom denna förmåga kan påverkas negativt av en sensorineural hörselskada är det tänkbart att hörselskadan även kan påverka perceptionen av prosodi. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan perception av tonglidningar och perception av prosodi samt om det finns en skillnad i dessa förmågor hos normalhörande respektive personer med en hörselnedsättning.

The purpose with this thesis is to demonstrate that other factors than the existing set of rules could influence the Management Group?s decision in regards to depreciation of goodwill. We have explained the conflicts between the management group and the stakeholders by using the Agency Theory and the Stakeholder Model. We have used the Positive Accounting Theory to describe how the management group?s opportunistic behaviour decides which accounting method to use.

The aim of this study was to describe non-surgical treatment options for the diseases mucositis and peri-implantitis found in present literature. The literature review also illustrates the effect of the treatment opptions on soft tissue with mucositis and peri-implantitis surrounding dental implants. The study reviews twelve scientific articles that have been processed from the aim of the study. The result shows six therapy options, Er:YAG laser, air abrasive, ultrasonic device, hand instruments, hand instruments in combination with antibiotics and hand instruments in combination with clorhexidin. The following methods are described according to how they are used and how they affect the soft tissue surrounding dental implants.

The aim of this thesis was to analyse BARO WOOD AB:s timber measuring and quality sorting and to evaluate the analyse program Stockholmen. The purpose was to get a better understanding for the quality sorting made at BARO WOOD AB today, analyse differences in center board quality from logs with a good quality and logs with a bad quality, suggest new sorting criterias developed from analyses made with Stockholmen and to evaluate the program Stockholmen. All analyses are based on data gathered in a test sawing made at BARO WOOD AB in June and July 2002. The test sawing was made on four different diameter classes and every diameter class consisted out of A or M-grade logs, with a better quality, and B-grade logs with a lesser quality. The logs where sorted out with BARO WOOD AB:s existing quality criterias.

This study test the short-termism of companies listed on the market OMX Stockholm 30. We will use a deductive point of view where the purpose of this study is to investigate whether corporate short-term returns can be explained by the independent variables related to corporate governance and compensation practices. This is to investigate whether there is an intentional action on raising the short-term return in order to achieve a higher CEO compensation. In the study, theories dealing with corporate governance and agency theory have resulted in two hypotheses. Basic Hypothesis H1 is: if short-termism of Swedish industry due to the company's short-term returns can be explained by the independent variables related to the company's management and compensation. This hypothesis could not be verified through the quantitative study. Alternative Hypothesis H2 is: the compensation of a CEO can be explained by the independent variables related to company performance and size.

Platelet aggregation is a major and common problem in blood samples from cats. This greatly affects the accuracy of counting of the platelets. Because of the difficulties in counting feline platelets, results for patients and reliable reference values for cat platelets are currently so inaccurate as to be almost useless in diagnosis of thrombocytopenia. In this study we used an effective method to prevent platelet aggregation. Blood was collected in CTAD test tubes and prostaglandin E1 was added to the blood sample.
