Varje dag begås misstag utav människor. För piloter kan dessa misstag bli fatala. Länge har man vid flygolyckor endast sett till de direkta misstag som blivit begångna och på så sätt skaffat sig en syndabock. I detta arbete kan dock vikten av att uppmärksamma faktorer som varit bakomliggande i organisationen påvisas. Då en olycka inträffar skiljer man mellan osäkra handlingar och latenta förhållanden.
Standardisera mera? : Z39.50 mellan enighet och mångfald
Z39.50 is a standard protocol designed to create an interface between diverse computer databases for diverse information needs. Since it has to be adjustable it is also complex and demands a certain degree of expertise when being set. However, the aim of this paper is not to make a theoretical description but to examine certain conditions in practice. From the perspective of Swedish research libraries two principal hypotheses are examined: 1) the implementation of a given technology (Z39.50) is primarily influenced by social circumstances, and 2) the way in which the technology is implemented will bias the results of information retrieval. For this examination we need a framework of theories concerning the relationship between technological development and society, organisational theories and database theories.

renderingsmetod som kan hantera scener med stora mängder ljuskällor och hög
scenkomplexitet
samtidigt.
För att undersöka integreringen mellan procedurellt skapad terräng och en
deferred rendering
pipeline, skapades en applikation i DirectX 11 för att undersöka
implementeringen och
potentiella optimeringar av denna integration..

The launch of the 4G network will offer new opportunities for the operators regarding products services. It may also impact the competition on the overall market.PurposeThe purpose of this thesis is to present a deep analysis of the industry and give the reader a comprehensive picture of existing conditions.

Because of the tougher competition that developed from new channels of communication, corporations had to generate new sources of value for their customers in order to establish lasting relationships with them. Therefore we found it interesting to investigate how companies within the e-commerce business handle the transition towards customer relationship management.

According to the Swedish preschool policy documents all children should have the same opportunities to develop their early language skills regardless of their social background. The purpose of this study is to investigate how preschool teachers work with children's early literacy and language development with focus on reading aloud. The reason is to investigate how the preschool teachers work to create an environment that stimulates children's literacy and language development. Another intention is to study how often reading aloud occurs in the children's home environment and what the preschool teachers thoughts are about that. The study is based on interviews with four preschool teachers and surveys that were answered by parents.

What methods and working methods they use to awaken curiosity and motivate children to read and write. I am using the qualitative research method to get answers to my questions. I have made four qualitative interviews with four teachers in preschool classes from different schools.My questions are:What conceptions does teachers have about their mission in a preschool class?What different methods and approaches does teachers use to stimulate and wake children?s curiosity for reading and writing development?The theoretical basis for my study is the socio-cultural perspective, where learning occurs in interaction.

Personal trainer is a profession that has grown strongly in recent decades, and has become increasingly common in the labor market within the health sector due to the widespread and growing interest in health and self- improvement. Further more, personal training is a great example of occupations with a close interaction between producer and consumer. The purpose of this study was to examine whether and if so how, personal trainers experience that the relationship with the clients affects their own personal development. This by finding out what impact the profession has had on the personality, what impact the relationship with the clients has affected the leadership, and last what impact the relationship with the clients have had on the personality based on social and mental aspects. Based on the purpose of the study qualitative method was chosen and data was collected with qualitative interviews.

Detta kandidatarbete fokuserar på att undersöka aspekter som kan förstärka en
användares upplevelse inom digitala spel. De aspekter som vi valt att fokusera
på är användandet av Oculus Rift och Motion Capture då de tar upp viktiga
punkter som Virtual Reality, närvaro och inlevelse i spel. Vi valde även att
fokusera vår produktion mot skräckgenren då detta är ett område vi båda har
stor passion för i diverse media. I vårt arbete har vi fått fram en hypotes om
att spel som fokuserar på att lämna karaktären i ett tomt skal (ingen
personlighet), lämnar en större chans för inlevelse hos spelaren då användarens
egna känslor speglas på karaktären. Användandet av Oculus Rift och realistiska
röresler via Motion Capture har en tendens att även stärka detta..

The meeting industry is a growing industry around the world, and the technological development in recent decades is one of the contributing factors to the increased travel opportunities and meeting industry's expansion. It can be assumed that the technology could replace some of the personal meetings, but humans have always had a need to meet in physical locations in work related purposes, therefore there is no evidence that personal meetings will disappear. Technological development should be seen as complementary rather than a substitute to the existing professional meetings. Public and private sectors within countries has drawn attention to meeting industry's potential, as favored destinations in terms of economic administration, image creation, expansion and acquisition of further market share in the global market. Meeting industry is complex precisely because there are so many different actors and stakeholders that integrate.
Soundvolume 2.0 - En prototyp för ljuddesign i spel
Efter fyra månader som ljudpraktikant på det svenska spelföretaget Starbreeze i
Uppsala, var det dags att ta steget vidare i ytterligare fyra månader. Från
ljuddesign till scriptning, idéer och tankar, samt en inblick i hur scriptning
fungerar.
Detta arbete handlar om framtagandet av en ljuddesign-prototyp åt ett externt
företags framtida spelprojekt. En utveckling som från början var tänkt att öka
kunskaperna om scriptning, och att skapa ett sammanhängande spelscenario,
men som sedan utvecklades till att leda mycket längre.
Förklaring: Ljuddesign = Ljudläggning av någon form, i detta fall
spel.

händer eller saker man kan göra i spelet

In the history of scientific visualization techniques there is a lack of social science practices and methodologies. The advent of modern computer graphics brought the use of visualizations into a whole new era, but even though the tools by which such modern visualizations are created become easier to access and use, the lack of social science researchers harvesting the benefits of such tools still remain. This ease of use, increase in power and accessibility plus the ever growing need within the natural sciences to augment the human senses has further complicated the relationship between scientific methodologies, validity, reliability and the use of visualization techniques. This relationship must be explored, demystified and understood in order to fully grasp the impact of visualization practices when incorporated into any given scientific method. Within the social sciences there is one example of a tradition that has since its conception carried within it a graphical notion and a visualization practice.
