Reflektioner kring ledarskap : En fallstudie från Afghanistan med utgångspunkt i Utvecklande ledarskap

Kompaniledningen har uppträtt som förmyndare för hela förbandet och har ej lämnat ansvar till helt vuxna soldater som alltså inte är grundutbildnings-ungdomar. Från början jobbade vi alla järnet men befälen körde GU-stuket och tog civilisten ur oss varvid självständigheten och initiativförmågan försvagadesDessa ord från soldater finns nedtecknade i avhandlingen Militärt ledarskap som undersöker ledarskapet under internationella insatser och påvisar en brist i ledarskapet. Försvarsmaktens nya personalförsörjningssystem innebär att förbanden kommer att bestå av anställda soldater och den erfarenhet som Försvarsmakten har av anställda soldater är från de som befunnit sig på internationell tjänstgöring. Ett framgångsrikt ledarskap under internationell tjänstgöring torde därför kunna verka som en inriktning för hur ledarskapet skulle kunna vara i den nya Försvarsmakten.Denna uppsats söker svar på hur en chef som uppskattas av anställda soldater kan vara, om utvecklande ledarskap är aktuell som modell och om uppdragstaktik är en metod att leda anställda soldater med. Slutsatserna är att soldater uppskattar ledaregenskaper som ärlig, rättvis, förebild, engagerad och lyhörd.

Att leda - N?r juridiska krav kolliderar med personliga v?rderingar

This study aims to analyze the effects of the proposal regarding mandatory reporting for undocumented individuals within the Swedish public sector and how this potentially affects leaders in their efforts to motivate their employees to comply with this requirement, which is considered ethically charged. The primary focus is to understand how these leaders can motivate their employees considering legal requirements that are both legally binding and ethically sensitive. By interviewing leaders from various sectors within the public domain in multiple Swedish municipalities, this case study seeks to highlight the challenges arising from the amalgamation of legal mandates and ethical dilemmas. Its goal is to provide insights that can support these leaders in their complex decision-making regarding such issues. The study addresses theoretical aspects such as change management and critical organizational theory. The study's findings indicate that political decisions play a pivotal role in the processes of change within public operations. Resistance to change varies and takes various forms.

Den självförgörande kampen : En existentiell studie om självdestruktivitet

De flesta människor som är självdestruktiva i vårt samhälle får en diagnos ställd som understryker att de på ett eller annat vis är psykiskt sjuka, den vanligaste diagnosen är Borderline Personlighetsstörning. I denna studie ifrågasätts detta psykopatologiska perspektiv och istället ämnar jag undersöka om det går att bredda begreppet självdestruktivitet genom att använda ett existentiellt perspektiv. I grunden för studien återfinns teorier från Kierkegaard, May och Fromm vilka berör begrepp som ångest och frihet, två nyckelbegrepp i denna studie. Materialet är insamlat via intervjuer. Genom att använda hermeneutik som analysmetod har uppsatsförfattaren haft möjlighet att använda sin förförståelse i ämnet och via den hermeneutiska cirkeln tolkas materialet.

The focus of this essay is on a political party that was founded in Sweden in 1904. Today, we known it as Moderata Samlingspartiet. Historically, this party has transitioned through multiple phases which have included a change of name and also a change of substance in the area of trade policy. The party that was cheering globalisation at the 2006 congress had its roots in protectionism and had been founded as a strict protectionist organisation. The question raised here is what has caused this dramatic change in the trade politic?In addressing this important question, I have used both organization and party strategy theories to identify the main underlying reasons.

Ett ord, många ansikten? : En studie av ledares arbete över nationsgränser

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, svenska ledare anpassar sitt ledarskap i mötet med andra kulturer. Tyngdpunkten ligger på att undersöka ledares reflektioner omkring kultur och ledarskap samt ta reda på hur interkulturella erfarenheter påverkar arbetsrollen och ledaren som person.Metod: Uppsatsen arbetar med en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod, tre intervjuer ligger till grund för det empiriska materialet. Litteratur och artiklar inom områdena ledarskap, kultur och kommunikation har studerats för att samla information till den teoretiska referensramen.Resultat och slutsats: Vi har kommit fram till att man som ledare verksam över nationsgränser blir tvungen att anpassa sig i mötet med andra kulturer. Ett situationsanpassat ledarskap är därmed nödvändigt. Interaktionen skiljer sig från kultur till kultur, därför bör man känna till de skillnader som råder.

Chefen som normsändare : En kvalitativ studie ur chefs - och personalperspektiv

The aim of our study is to explore which norms that exists in the home care service, who is sending those norms, how are they maintained and how do they affect the interactions between staff and manager? We want to deep en our knowledge about home care service as an organization and increase our understanding for the psychosocial work environment and also the importance of leadership. We mean to read the organizational culture that exists which allows us to deal with the values that influence the behavior in the organization.The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consists of two focus group interviews, one with managers from the home care service - organization and one with staff from the same organization. T he interview with the managers consisted of five participants and the corresponding figure for the second interview with the staff was eight participants.The theoretical viewpoints have been communication - theory, organizational theory and Foucault´s th eory of power.Our result indicate that norms are something that unconsciously controls us and that we have learned that there are consequences when you step out of what is normative for the group.

Kommunikation under en medicinsk simuleringsövning, simuleringsövningar förbättrar teamarbetet.

SAMMANFATTNINGIntroduktionKommunikationen i ett vårdteam har stor betydelse för samarbetet kring en skadad patient. När kommunikationen brister kan det leda till sämre omhändertagande av en traumapatient. Ledaren för teamet har en betydande roll för teamarbetet. På Försvarsmedicincentrum i Göteborg tränas teamen med medicinsk simulering med fokus på teamarbete.SyfteSyftet var att undersöka hur kommunikationen erfors och påverkade samarbetet inom teamet under en medicinsk simuleringsövning.MetodFokusgruppintervjuer genomfördes av teamen efter en övning i medicinsk fullskalesimulering. Frågorna var semistrukturerade.

Hot, våld och trakasserier : En studie om handlingsutrymme, politiska ledare och demokrati

Studies have shown that politicians are significantly more likely to become victims of violent crime than other citizens in Sweden. In fact increasing political rank and engagement are directly proportionate to increased risk for violence. Threat towards politicians is not only dangerous to the individuals involved but also to the democratic system as a whole.Political scientists the world over have done a lot of research on democracy, but I have been unable to find a single method or theory that examines how violence, threat and harassment affect political leaders and democratic systems.The aim of this study is to expand the existing model made by Tommy Möller, professor in political science. In his model he presents 11 factors that affect political leaders ability to act. My aim is to develop his model by adding a 12 th factor ?violence, threat and harassment?.

Svensk Krigarkultur ? En samexisterande subkultur i Försvarsmakten?

The study seeks to clarify a cultural change in the armed forces (FM). The study is based on the hypothesis that repeated operations in war-like environment, where the FM sends professional combat units, develop a warrior culture. The empirical results indicate that there is an existing warrior culture at all three units surveyed.The subculture is verified by the constants of western warrior culture described in theory. Background:Borderline personality disorder is a complex mental disorder that has become increasingly common in those individuals who seek care today. These individuals are often perceived as being different by society and the health care system, because of the prejudice and lack of knowledge that exists around mental illness and borderline personality disorder. Aim: Highlighting adults experiences of living with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Method: Literature study with qualitative approach. Seven articles were chosen to be read, reviewed and analyzed.

The main purpose for this study was to examine how boys with destructive and self-harming behaviour are perceived and comprehended by school counsellors and literature. The study assessed how boys who harm themselves are defined both in practice and in theory by using a social constructivist point of view and a gender perspective. The study was divided in two parts concerning gathering knowledge of the matter. The authors, using a method called qualitative semi-structured interviews, interviewed nine school counsellors. To acquire scientific knowledge, the authors implemented a literature review and researched books and journal articles regarding boys who self-harm.

Ledarskapsprogram för innovation

 Since the 28thof May the project to develop an internal Innovation Leadership Program (ILP)on Accenture has been running and came to an end in November the same year. The taskwas formed into a master thesis and given to two students at the Royal Institute ofTechnology in Sweden.Since the start the content and structure of the ILP has been established based on the resultsof a theoretical study, a gap analysis and an external and internal benchmarking. The theoreticalstudy focused on articles, books and lectures about innovation, creativity and pedagogy. Subjectssuch as leadership, motivation, reflection and coaching were studied as well, but in a smaller scale.The gap analysis consisted of eleven interviews with people from different career levels withinAccenture and the goal was to establish the view of innovation and creativity among the employees.The interviews also asked about the knowledge the participants had about Technology Lab in orderto get insight of how to improve their communication and cooperation with people in client projects.Internally a similar program was studied called Minority Leadership program, whom will not bedescribed further in this report, to get inspiration. The external benchmarking was conducted onStanford and was very successful.

Orsaksfaktorer till personalomsättning i fastighetsmäklarbranschen : Med fokus på ledarskapets betydelse

Syfte: Personalomsättning är ett omfattande problem i fastighetsmäklarbranschen. Eftersom vi utbildar oss till fastighetsmäklare, är studien av intresse för oss då vi vill få insikt i personalomsättning och vilken betydelse ledarskapet har för medarbetarna. -          Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur ledarskapet kan påverka personalomsättningen inom fastighetsmäklarbranschen i Sverige.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Datainsamlingen har utförts i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi har utfört totalt 16 intervjuer, fördelat på 11 medarbetare och 4 ledare. 14 av intervjuerna har utförts face-to-face, och två har skett via telefon.

Att göra en livsstilsförändring : Från kriminell till icke kriminell

The aim of this study was to investigate factors that ex-criminals believe have been of importance to them when they decided to leave a lifestyle of criminality behind. The study was based on eight semi-structured interviews with informants who had committed various forms of crime. Common to all informants is that they are now members in the Swedish association KRIS (In English: CRIS, Criminals Return Into Society), living a life without crime. The stories of the informants have been analyzed on the theoretical basis of social ties, the exit process, role loss, motivation and the life course perspective. Our study showed that the informants have been affected and motivated by various life events that could be identified and pin-pointed during the interviews.

Jack och Allt: En idéanalytisk studie av litteraturkritik

The aim of this Master's thesis is to study how generational identities are conveyed in the reception of two debut novels, Jack by Ulf Lundell and Allt by Martina Lowden. Both novels have been considered literary and social expressions of their generations. The empirical material consists of 14 reviews in Swedish daily press from the time of publication of Jack and Allt, respectively. The thesis revolves around the following questions: How is the generational identity defined in terms of lifestyle practices, milieus and other social circumstances? To what extent are structured factors such as gender and class considered? How are the critics considering the reflexive project of the self? I base the theoretical framework on Anthony Giddens' theories about identity creation in the late modern society.
