Syftet med denna uppsats var att göra en jämförelse mellan studenter som läser det första respektive det sista året på socialpsykologiskt program på högskolan i Skövde ideras attityder mot hemlösa och tro på att världen är rättvis. Ett ytterligare syfte var att ta reda på om det fanns ett samband mellan attityder mot hemlösa och tro på att världen är rättvis. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten i uppsatsen var perspektivet socialkognition, med relevanta begrepp som attityder, stereotyper och fördomar samt Lerner´s teori (1980) om tron på en rättvis värld. Metoden som användes var kvantitativ och utfördes genom två enkäter; Attitudes Toward Homelessness Inventory (Kingree & Daves, 1997) och The Global Belief in a Just World Scale (Lipkus, 1991). Den statistiska bearbetningen skedde med hjälp av statistikdataverktyget PASW Statistics 17.

Based on different integration policies, we aim to examine how five municipalities in Stockholm County are working to promote integration at a local level with focus on voter participation and to some extent, representativeness among foreign-born. Statistics provided by SCB shows that foreign-born tends to vote to a lesser extent than those born in Sweden. Further, we aim to examine the implementation of two policy documents established at a national level concerning integration in contrast to policy documents established at a local level in each different municipality. Further, we aim to examine summaries of actions taken in response to the local integration programs, as well as personal interviews. Each municipality will be considered separately, but we thus seek to make a comparative study.

The problem with narcotics is one of Sweden?s biggest social problems. Statistics shows thatthe number of narcotic related deaths and the numbers of heavy drug users are increasing. Thepresent narcotic policy has been questioned due to this increase. As a social worker you meetdrug users on a daily basis.

The aim of this study is to describe how Swedish research librarians feel that their work has been affected by electronic journals. The study focuses on medical electronic journals accessed through consortia agreements via Bibsam, the Royal Librarys Department for National Co-ordination and Development. This thesis includes two main parts: a literature survey and an empirical study. The literature survey shows that since the 1990´s most research libraries are hybrid libraries including both printed and electronic information sources and that librarians tasks to seek and organize information have remained but the tools have changed. Qualitative interviews were performed with four librarians at two university libraries and one university college library on how their work with electronic journals differed from their work with printed journals, which new tasks the electronic journals have brought and which have disappeared and how the librarians professional role has been affected.

This paper concerns the freedom of speech in our democracy and the principles underlying the restrictions. The study is aimed at using a descriptive theory to provide a useful basis for analyzing a justification of the role behind freedom of speech and its limitations. The analysis is made on the basis of the Swedish parliament debate in the form of motions and the non-governmental organization Swedish Helsinki Committee's report. The study has a focus on the law of hate speech and will be done with an idea centred analysis. On the basis of democratic theory, the central role of freedom of speech was clarified on the basis of a clear need for a reliable communication.

AbstractTitle: How has IAS 38 affected accounting in small and large companies?A study of the differences in the accounting of financial ratios between small and large companies.Authors: Jasmine Choudrey & Rana QadriMain Course: Business EconomicsThe aim of this study is to make a comparative examination between small and large companies in Sweden and to analyse how accounting of intangible assets has been affected or changed due to the introduction of the new accounting recommendations and IAS 38.Main theory: There are no theories available on these type of researches due to the fact that the introduction of the IFRS is relatively new. Instead the essay discusses facts about the financial ratios and IFRS as a starting point for the study.Method: The examination will be a combination of both quantitative and qualitative techniques. The quantitative part will be based on statistics and financial ratios from the different companies annual reports. These financial ratios will be analyzed by performing a confidence interval.

I denna studie använder vi oss av ett teoretiskt ramverk baserad på den socialkonstruktivistiska teorin The Human Environment Modell (HEM). Detta gör vi med syfte att se vad för information vi kan få fram från en aktörsgrupp om: Hur den sociala interaktionen som skett mellan denna aktörsgrupp och ett IT-stöd har förändrat aktörsgruppens roll och dess sociala kontext. Vi använder detta ramverk för att utifrån bibliotekariers perspektiv beskriva, hur interaktionen mellan det centrala bibliotekssystemet LIBRIS och bibliotekarier har förändrat bibliotekarierollen på universitets- och högskolebibliotek. För att besvara detta syfte valde vi att utföra både en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ undersökning. Den kvalitativa undersökningen består av tre intervjuer med bibliotekarier på Lunds Universitet och Malmö Högskola.

The study describes six upper secondary school students? thoughts of and stories about mentors and mentorship in secondary school. The mentorship has been studied with a hermeneutic approach from a narrative pupil relational perspective, which is influenced by the phenomenological humanity perspective. The aim of this study is to describe a few pupils? life worlds and to try to interpret how they describe and explain their own behavior related to mentorship and their mentors.

The transition from paper to electronic journals in induces a major change in academic libraries. The library must focus on customising the service to meet user needs in order to compete with other actors on the market. This situation entails the need for a marketing and management approach in library organisations. Linda Ashcroft has in previous research focused on marketing of electronic journals. She has stated the importance of simplifying the user environment of electronic journals and the importance of regaining control over electronic journals from publishers and vendors.

Användbarhetsarbete har historiskt sett inte placerats högt på agendan i systemutvecklingsprocessen. Trots det har forskningsvärlden framtagit metodologier, metoder och tekniker för detta arbetssätt. Orsaker till den bristande användningen har visat sig vara bland annat bristande kunskap om arbetssättet och föreställningen att det kostar mer än det ger tillbaka. Trots att forskningsvärlden hävdar att användbarhet kan sänka kostnader i systemutvecklingsprocessen och spara in stora summor i förvaltningsfasen visar studier på att många systemutvecklingsprojekt fortfarande misslyckas eller försenas. Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ studie för att undersöka hur större fokus kan läggas kan läggas på användarcentrerad systemutveckling och användbarhetsarbete i försäljningssituationer genom att intervjua företrädare för två av de stora aktörerna inom användbarhet i Sverige.

Introduction: Malnutrition leads to loss of health and coexists with disease and loss of function. A good nutritional status becomes more important the older you get to maintain a good health. Studies show that it is important to identify and prevent malnutrition in its early stages. Men and women recieve different medical treatment in a number of different medical diseases. There are few studies in nursing from av gender perspective.Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the prevalence of malnutrition in the elderly in Västra Götaland with focus on gender differences when it comes to prevalence and nursing interventionsMethod: A register study with av quantitative approach is conducted to answer the aim.

This study investigates and analyzes experiences of discrimination and racism among social work students, focusing on how these issues occur between peers rather than through hierarchical dynamics, such as interactions with faculty. The research aims to shed light on the academic challenges faced by students with foreign backgrounds, as defined by Statistics Sweden (SCB), particularly those who experience discriminatory practices and behaviors within the academic environment. The study adopts a qualitative methodology, utilizing semi-structured interviews to explore the lived experiences of these students. Participants were selected based on their enrollment in social work programs and their identification as having a foreign background. Data was analyzed thematically to uncover recurring patterns and insights into the participants' experiences.

Foreseeing future changes in economic activity is of up most importance to a wide array of actors. The time lag in the presentation of official GDP statistics means that to somewhat accurately capture a tendency of where the business cycle is heading one need turn to qualitative sentiment indicators such as Purchasing Managers? Index (PMI) and official sentiment indicators for valuable clues. This thesis uses in-sample and out-of-sample methods to evaluate how well PMI and official Business Tendency Surveys (BTS) in Sweden and Denmark fair against the year-on-year growth rate of industrial production. Moreover, various Swedish regional sentiment indicators get examined and a case study of the indicator for the Öresund region is performed.

An investigation of relevant collective agreements will be done to highlight the difficulties the principal of equal treatment is exposed to. Further on is there a will to gain understanding for the wage concept and what possible can be included in the wage concept in relation to the principal of equal treatment in The temporary agency work directive. By using the dogmatic method, an approach to descriptive identifying relevant sources of law and clarify the legal situation in the area.In the conclusions it will be determined that the principle of equal treatment in The Swedish temporary agency work act have different effects depending on if the temporary agency or if the client corporation is tied to an collective agreement alternative if a collective agreement is completely missing.

Under de senaste åren har användandet av Internet ökat snabbt i världen och om man tittar på hur stor andel av befolkningen som har tillgång till Internet i hemmet är Sverige ett av de ledande länderna. Alla datorer med en uppkoppling till Internet kan bli smittade av spyware, men trots detta är inte många användare medvetna om riskerna som spyware innebär. Syftet med denna studie är att ge en bred bild av vad spyware är och vilka hot det innebär. Vidare vill vi undersöka hur medveten om dessa problem hemanvändaren är.För att uppnå syftet har vi använt en kvantitativ metod genom att skicka ut enkäter till användare av PC-datorer i hemmet. Vi har också använt en kvalitativ metod genom att studera litteratur och artiklar för att göra kopplingarna klarare.Spyware är program som övervakar en datoranvändares aktiviteter och fångar upp data om användaren som skickas till tredje part.
