This Master?s thesis explores and describes the beliefs, values and norms in a selection of five Swedish municipal cultural policy documents approved 2005-2007. The comprehensive question is: Which ideological traits characterize cultural policy in the chosen municipalities as communicated in their respective cultural policy vision document? The method used is ideology analysis. Ideal types based on a model by Dorte Skot-Hansen are used as a conceptual framework, illustrating three different rationalities in relation to cultural policy: the humanistic, the sociological and the market oriented.

This thesis is a product development project that was performed at Alfa Laval Tumba AB. In the past Alfa Laval have manufactured gas separators for engines where gas flows were cleaned from oil. A new business area for this kind of technology has shown to be the manufacturing industry where oil mist has to be separated from the vented air. Therefore a new and bigger design is needed to be able to handle the greater gas flows. A product like that would be a strong competitor on the market when the maintenance would be low in comparison to today?s equipment.During the project several concept suggestions were developed using customer interviews and research as input.

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to do a benchmarking study of the marketing activities at the public library of Valdemarsvik. The purpose is also to describe and get a deeper understanding of benchmarking as a method for improving library activity. Four major problem areas are addressed: How can one use benchmarking as a tool to achieve change? How can one learn with benchmarking? What similarities and differences are there between benchmarking and other similar methods for competence development? Is benchmarking better than other similar methods for competence development? The empirical approach was qualitative and the method chosen was action research.

Skogs- och energibolagens attityd till förnybara drivmedel vid upphandling av transporttjänster i norra Sverige

Sweden's government is dedicated to the goal of having a vehicle fleet that is independent of fossil fuels by 2030. Achieving these goals requires, among other things, new types of fuel that give lower net emissions of carbon dioxide. The present market includes stations offering lowlevel blends of renewable fuels in conventional diesel as well as some stations offering renewable fuels only. The purpose of this study is to survey purchasers? attitudes to the use renewable fuels in roundwood and bioenergy transport in forest- and energy companies. The study was based on qualitative interviews through a combination of face-to-face meetings and telephone interviews with each sample group. The total number of respondents was ten (10), consisting of five (5) from forest companies and five (5) from energy companies. Transport service purchasers were generally positive to renewable fuels and considered these necessary in the future.

International expansion has long been associated with a positive trend that many companies, regardless of industry, choosing to realize mainly to expand its market share and hence its profitability. Various theories describe differentiated strategies to promote corporate expansion. Either they shall be financed by internal funds, or balancing equity with debt, or only increase leverage in order to achieve the desired results. This study focuses on the Swedish fashion market and its degree of internationalization. The purpose is to attempt to discern whether there exists a correlation between the degree of internationalization and its financial performance.The study was based on a quantitative approach where secondary data was collected so that we then would be able to perform regression calculations.

Conclusion:It follows that European legislation has succeedded in raising the competitiveness by breaking down the powers of the predominantly more powerful companies that the 2nd tier players do business with and by giving companies sufficient leeway to act. The comment must be made here that serious problems due to a power misbalance might still exist yet are not uncovered. In the course of my research I have found a lack of issues in my subject field. These problems however would have a more structural and economical cause, dealing with these problems would fall outside the boundaries of the competence of European competition legislation.

Denna subkultur består av personer som ser jeans som något mer än bara ett plagg, för vilka jeansen blivit som en livsstil. Dessa konsumenter skiljer sig avsevärt ifrån den stora massan i den aspekten att de besitter en stor kunskap om jeanshistoria och konstruktion, samt konsumerar en annan typ av jeans, med fokus på kvalitet och material snarare än en trendig look. Denna studie utgår ifrån Kotler, Armstrong, Harris och Piercys (2013) modell av köpprocessen bestående av fem steg; behovsidentifiering, informationssökning, utvärdering av alternativ, köpbeslut och utvärdering efter köp. Semistrukturerade intervjuer används för att samla in data, som sedan analyseras och diskuteras utifrån teoribasen.

Applikationsutveckling till mobiltelefoner med operativsystemet Android : Beräkning av komplexa skuldsituationer

Arbetet har gått ut på att ta fram en Androidapplikation vars funktion är att beräkna vilka transaktioner som är nödvändiga, minimerat till antalet, för att reda ut en komplex skuldsituation inom en grupp individer. Den här typen av situationer uppstår ofta i vardagliga sammanhang, exempelvis då en grupp vänner lagar middag tillsammans och olika personer lägger ut för olika kostnader som till exempel mat och dryck. Arbetet resulterade i applikationen SplitIt, en stilren och lättanvänd applikation som uppfyller uppsatta kravspecifikationer. Osäkerhet råder dock om algoritmen som räknar ut transaktionerna är optimerad i det avseendet att antalet transaktioner minimeras. En del åtgärder bör vidtas innan produkten lanseras på Android Market, till exempel har framtagning av ikoner åsidosatts med avsikten att lägga ned mer tid på övriga delar i användargränssnitt och algoritmframtagning.

AbstractThe use of temporary agency workers has increased significantly during the last decades. Due to considerable differences in the legal status and working conditions of temporary agency workers within the EU, the directive 2008/104/EC on temporary agency work was adopted in 2008. The current directive has a two folded purpose, first and foremost to improve the employment and working conditions for temporary agency workers, by establishing the principle of equal treatment. The second purpose is to create greater acceptance for the temporary work agencies, and also to review and remove any unjustified restrictions or prohibitions against them.There are several different models for labour market regulation represented within the EU. The Swedish and Nordic model has through history relied heavily on regulation via collective agreements, entered into by the social partners, with a minimal amount of state interference and regulation.For Sweden there is a potential problem in the implementation of the directive on temporary agency work, since it follows from case law by the European Court of Justice (ECJ).
