This report describes a system for verification of fingerprints against a previous created template. It describes how and why a fingerprint image must be processed before it can be used to either identify or verify a person. The method is based on special features of a fingerprint, called minutiae points. The whole process from image to matching is described, every step in the process with image enhancement, binarization, thinning and how to find the minutiae points. Also what false minutiae points are, how they arise, why they deteriorate the result, and how to handle them, is discussed.

Vår studie handlar om vad mobbning är, hur mobbare och mobboffer kan kännetecknas samt hur arbetet i skolan kan se ut för att förebygga mobbning. Undersökningen vi använde oss avvar kvalitativ med semistrukturerad intervju.Den semistrukturerade intervjun valde vi för att få en fördjupad studie.Studien visar att definitionen av mobbning är när en person blir utsatt för kränkande behandling vid flera tillfällen under en längre period. Denvisarocksåatt det finns olika synsätt på hur kännetecken för mobbare och mobbofferkan se ut. Värdegrundsövningar på olika sätt visar vara en betydelsefull del i det förebyggande arbetet mot mobbning. Eleven får genom värdegrundsövningar tillfälle att sätta sig in i andra människors situationer.

Ett grövre brott begås. Ett krävande arbete sätts igång, ett arbete där de inblandade hela tiden kämpar mot klockan. Olika fakta och information samlas in och bearbetas. Det gäller att reducera antalet misstänkta för att till slut kunna ringa in den rätte gärningsmannen. Vi har fördjupat oss i hur brottsanalys och gärningsmanna-profilering används som ett komplement i utredningar av grövre brott.

Många informationssystemutvecklingsprojekt misslyckas och det beror ofta på att utvecklaren inte förstår eller känner till kraven från slutanvändarna. En viktig faktor för att projekten istället ska lyckas är att slutanvändare är motiverade till att delta i processen och de bör motiveras redan i en förberedande fas av informationssystemutvecklingen. Ytterligare en faktor som är viktig är externkonsulten, som ofta är den person som leder arbetet med informationssystemutvecklingen.Det finns symboliska roller som kan kopplas till den externa konsulten, vilka kan påverka motivationen både positivt och negativt hos slutanvändarna. Resultatet av detta arbete är ett antal råd till externkonsulten om hur denne bör agera i en förberedande fas av informationssystemutveckling för att motverka de negativa effekterna av de symboliska rollerna och tillvarata de positiva..

Litteraturstudie av internationella vetenskapliga artiklar som undersöker vilka egenskaperman bör beakta hos personer med antisocial personlighetsstörning vid urvalet till psykoterapi,vad man kan förvänta sig vad gäller behandlingsbarhet och relationen psykoterapeut ? patient.Slutsatsen är bl a att behandlingen är svår och krävande men inte omöjlig. Den sedan längegängse uppfattningen att tillståndet är icke behandlingsbart har inte forskningsstöd. Viktigafaktorer att tänka på är graden av lidande hos patienten och hur behandlingsalliansenutvecklar sig under hela psykoterapiförloppet. En moralisk skyldighet att behandla,framförallt utifrån att dessa patienter allvarligt skadar andra människor men också för att desjälva växt upp under mycket svåra förhållanden lyfts fram.

Avloppsslam är en restprodukt som skapas vid rening av avloppsvatten och består mest av organiskt material. Slammet är mycket näringsrikt men innehåller ofta höga halter av olika föroreningar som tungmetaller, läkemedelsrester etc. Stockholm Vatten AB är certifierade enligt REVAQ för att kunna använda avloppsslam som gödningsmedel på åkermarker. För att slammet fortsättningsvis ska genomgå certifiering måste föroreningshalterna minska. Silver är en av de metaller som avskiljs från avloppsvattnet till slammet och har en hög ackumuleringshastighet i mark.

Vilka tester skall tas bort från kravprofilen?, Vilka tester skall förändras i kravprofilen?Metod:Äldre kravprofiler granskades och internationella förbund kontaktades med telefon och internet för att ta reda på mer information om fystester. Förbund som kontaktades var turkiska -, franska-, spanska -, ryska - och japanska förbundet. Även likartade idrottsförbund som boxning -, wushu - och takewandoförbundet kontaktades.

Symbols in the hands of politicians can be a powerful tool of manipulation. The usage of symbols in speeches or texts can change a person?s will, without him or her ever knowing it.We have compared the usage of symbols in the articles surrounding the ratification of the constitution in 18th century America with that of today?s European Union, to see if any similarities between these two cases exists, and what implications this could have for the future of the EU. We have divided the symbols in both cases into different categories so as to enable us to compare the cases to each other. With the help of Masters Theory and the writings of Benedict Anderson and Murray Edelman we have concluded that there indeed exist some similarities between 18th century America and the EU.

Meeting the pupils at work it is important to endeavor an adjustment of the education with the purpose of developing the individual person. To make this possible it requires, except for the intentions of teaching with an individual adjustment, the teacher to make oneself acquainted with the schools work and liability. This is especially important in the work with students with difficulties. for this group of students perhaps an alternative form of education would be to prefer.As method of investigation I used a qualitative case study with a teacher who uses, what I would call, an alternative way of teaching. as a teacher you should pay attention to, and be aware of, how you effect your pupils and with this as a starting point conduct oneself.

The aim of this study was to explore and try to understand the subject of AnabolicAndrogenic Steroids (AAS) from the users own perspective. Four qualitativeinterviews with former AAS-users was carried out to find out why the informantsstarted and continued to use AAS, and what benefits and disadvantages theyexperienced in relation to their use of AAS. Two of the interviews were conductedby telephone, and the other two in person. One of our main results was that maleusers of AAS in our study tried to attain a higher status in society, which we haveexplained with Connells theory about Hegemonic Masculinity. The two othertheories used in the study are Erving Goffmans Stigma Theory and SystemTheory.

The purpose of this study is to create knowledge about the view on play and work with play in Nepal?s preschools. To do that I travelled to Nepal and interviewed people who had an insight in either work regarding play in preschools or the view on play. I used a kind of interview were the person I interviewed got the phenomenon ?play? to discuss and to reason about, without my values.

In this essay the authors have searched to get an understanding of howthe situation where for a person being handicapped and of sámi heritage in Swedenduring the 1800´s to the beginning of 1900´s. In this qualitative study, church booksand local governmental records from the time has been the sources for data. Findingsregarding sámi and disability first of all shows that the sámi didn´t produce any ownwritten records, this means we had to use records produced by Swedish authorities.These are the only records available from the time. Records that gave us theauthorities point of view. When working with historical documents it is the contextwere they were produced in and their implied readership that is of great importance.Using this method gives the possibility to tell the story by the perspective of theexposed, in our case sámi people with disabilities.

The overriding purpose of this graduate thesis is to evaluate if municipalities and county councils can deviate from the legislation of public procurement during procurement of customer choice agreements within the health and social care area. The intention of this Quasi-market is to provide the users with competition in terms of quality rather then the general principal rule of economic value.My conclusion results in a legal situation without rules of general procedure. So far the authorities make their own regulation in the field of customer choice agreements. The problem lies within the authorization of new contractors and their right to make an appeal against resolutions made by the authorities social care divisions.One solution is to legislate within the present law of public procurement. Another way to solve the problem is to create a lex specialis apart from the present public procurement regulation..
