Hemp is a versatile plant with many uses that has been around for thousands of years. The plant is highly adaptable andwill cultivate in almost any soil. It has excellent remediation properties and has shown to be relatively consistent when itcomes to crop yields. The aim of this literature survey is to examine how hemp can be used to be considered asustainable energy crop in Sweden through database searches and interviews. Hemps characteristics as an energy cropand its remediation properties is evaluated and compared with other plants that are used in Sweden.

Det svenska försvarets övergång till insatsförsvar och internationella insatser har lett till omfattande förändringar av Försvarsmakten. Inom ramen för detta är ny amfibiebataljon under framställning. Denna bataljon bör agera med telekrigsförmåga och därmed undersöks vilken typ av system bör vara lämpligt för amfibiebataljon 2014. Initialt så framställs en genomgång av elektronisk krigföring för att skapa förståelse för ämnet och telekrigsförmågans utveckling i både Armén och Marinen. Amfibiebataljon 2014 presenteras för att beskriva förbandet som amfibieregementet skall ansvara för.

This report discusses developing a software log tool for analysis of industrial processes. The target was to develop software that can help electro Engineers for monitor and fault finding in industrial processes. The tool is called PLS (Process log server), and is developed in Visual Studio.NET Framework 2005. PLS works as a client with Beijer Electronics OPC Server. The program is able to read data from PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), trough the OPC Server.

The aim with this study is to investigate how Swedish public service local radio uses information subsides in the form of press releases. In terms of which entrants gain entrance to the news feed, in which forms and in which subjects. Also we wanted to study how the journalist uses the content in the press releases. To do this we cooperated with the public service radio channel Sveriges radio P4 Kalmar. For 28 days, four weeks, we collected all incoming press releases to the newsroom of P4 Kalmar.

Publication of science fiction has a tradition in Sweden. Adult-fantasy does not. In recentyears, the 1980's, Swedish publishers have realised how profitable fantasy is. Of the totalpublication of the two genres between 1989 and 1994, 54% was science fiction and 46%was fantasy. The reason for this even balance is that fantasy-books get reprinted more frequentlythan science fiction-books.

Man skall även kunna få framdatan som en PDF (Portable Document Format) fil, XML (ExtensibleMarkup Language) fil och en ICAL (kalender) fil. I denna uppgift ingåräven att ta fram en databasstruktur, objektorienterad design för arbetetsamt val av system och databas.

In this paper I study how the repeal of the Swedish wealth tax (1 of January 2007) has affected people´s labour supply behaviour. This particular issue is relevant because it may help us understand some of the effects of the earnings tax changes that have taken place in Sweden. Accoring to standard economic theory a repealed wealth tax is similar to an income effect for the persons who previously paid the tax. That means that they theoretically will want to consume more leisure, that is decrease their labour supply. The method I am using to test this hypothesis is a difference-in-difference approach where the treatment group consists of persons who previously paid the tax and the control group of comparable persons who did not pay the tax.

The product structure of the fuel tank installation is one of the most complex product areas at Scania. Caused by the number of parameters, which affect the fuel tank installation, a product structure is created which is very difficult to handle. Knowledge exist that the structure in a nearby future will be considerable more complex. The purpose of the study has been to understand in why this complexity exist and find ways to break the trend of a growing product structure. The goal was to achieve a more standardized fuel tank installation.A theoretical study was performed in order to bring knowledge in relevant areas both in general theory but also in documentation at Scania.

The aim of this paper is to study intra household allocation of capital income by using data on Swedish observations. The 1991 tax reform was to change the taxation on capital income from a progressive to a flat tax system. Before the tax reform there were incentives to allocate capital income to the spouses with the lowest income of labor in order to reduce the total tax burden. The data describes the year of 1989 and 1993, those we choose to examine. Using Swedish data from LINDA database we estimate a quotient by ordinary least squares (OLS) regression.

Grafdatabasen och NoSQL-rörelsen har på senaste tid fått mycket uppmärksamhet och popularitet. Grafdatabasen har ett rykte om sig att vara snabb och e ektiv för applikationstyper som innehåller enorma mängder data och många komplexa relationer. Studier undersökta i denna rapport visar att de tidigare utförda experimenten jämför databaserna för applikationer som har gynnat grafmodellen. Denna rapport har som syfte att dels undersöka databaserna men även att utföra ett experiment. Syftet med experimentet är att ta reda på ifall grafdatabasen Neo4j kan ersätta relationsdatabasen MySQL för en traditionell informationsapplikation som vanligtvis implementeras med en relationsdatabas. Studiens resultat visar att Neo4j presterar väldigt bra vid insättning och sökning, dock tar studien upp era faktorer som spelar roll för valet av databas. Bristen av säkerhet och stöd är sådana faktorer som gör att relationsdatabasen kan vara det optimala valet för en traditionell informationsapplikation..

The division of Engineering Materials at Linköping University, department of Management and Engineering, conducted a research project concerning Fatigue life of thermal barrier coatings during 2009. During this project equipment to provoke these fatigue failure by rapidly heating and cooling test subjects in cycles, was ordered.Design and manufacturing of the equipment was handled internally at LIU.The equipment was built using a furnace that is lowered and raised over the table where the test subject is placed. To keep the temperature of the furnace a lid slides in place to close the downward facing opening of the furnace when it is in the raised position. On this door there is nozzle that is used to cooling of the test subject by air.To make sure that the equipment can work independently you need an automation controller that can evaluate if movement can occur without danger of collisions. The control system also needs to monitor that all elements are performed according to plan.This degree project is based on a modular system from OPTO 22 and includes the configuration of a PLC that will be supplied with logic and a user interface.The degree project resulted in a graphic interface in which a user can set desired values for different parameters and get information about current values for them.

Modern air battles are very dynamic and fast, and put extreme pressure on pilots. In some unpredictable situations, like new discovered threats or mission plan deviation because of enemy aircraft, the pilots might need to replan their predefined flight route. This is very difficult, if not impossible, to do since numerous factors affect it. A system that can help the pilots to do such a thing is needed. Previous work in this field has involved methods from artificial intelligence like A*-search.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att bygga en geografisk databas och en ArcView-applikation som hanterar data om ett elnät och dess komponenter. Arbetet har bestått av följande moment: ? Insamling av information ? Uppbyggnad av en geografisk databas i Access ? Uppbyggnad av en ArcView-applikation ? Koppling mellan databasen och ArcView ? Studier av befintliga lösningar inom området Arbetet resulterade i ett fungerande system som täcker ett litet geografiskt område. Grundtanken är att allt data skall lagras i databasen och presenteras i ArcView. Kopplingen mellan programvarorna är gjord med ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity).

Konflikt och vad som definieras som en våldsam konflikt är en central fråga i freds och konfliktforskning, men det är också en fråga som inte behandlas. Generellt definieras en våldsam konflikt som en konflikt enligt definitionen av Uppsala University Conflict Database med 1000 dödsoffer per år.Den här uppsatsen försöker titta på andar aspekter än den begränsade definitionen, genom att applicera Johan Galtungs konfliktmodell på ett fall som inte accepteras som en våldsam konflikt under definitionen av 1000 döda per år, nämligen Konflikten mellan Kina och Tibet. The study explores collective action in Sweden between 1980 to 1995 using time-series data from the European Protest and Coercion Database. In spite of severe hardship during the crisis of the early 1990s, Swedish strike-rates declined. However, contention merely shifted from workplaces into the streets; there was indeed a protest movement against austerity, as shown by a series of large demonstrations, and some riots, between 1989 and 1993. Further analysis indicates this movement faded as it was increasingly chanelled into the electoral campaign of the labor pary; having won the 1994 election, the organised labor movement no longer had an interest in sustaining the protest movement against austerity..
