The aim of this bachelor thesis has been to examine and develop our own understanding about how young people in Sweden (16-29 years of age), take part in cultural activities. As librarians it is important to know what kind of activities and interests this particular group has. With Pierre Bourdieu?s theoretical framework towards habitus and capital we are interested to see if there is a connection between one?s cultural use and background, if different access to capital with or within groups has an affect or not. With both statistics and interviews with people within our target, we believe this data has been sufficient enough to conduct a good and valid study.

This study aims to highlight patients´ experiences about and thoughts of side effects fromelectroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a therapeutic method commonly used when having severedepressions. The framing of questions were how the respondents of this study describe theirlife before, during and after ECT-treatment, how the treatment has affected their daily life andhow these experiences may contribute to the awareness of power in professional relations.The study is based on three semi-structured narrative interviews and the main result showedthat, according to my interpretation, ECT as a treatment obliterated memories, quality of lifeand daily structure for all participants. Unfortunately they have all become subjects ofpsychiatric power and have faced considerable difficulty in getting professional recognitionaccording to their severe memory issues. The respondents have lost the ability to relate totheir past which clearly makes them struggle in their present context. A point in commonamong them is that neither of them wanted ECT but, because of the lack of communicationbetween them as patients and the health care in general, they all ended up getting it..

Examensarbetet är utfört vid Ringhals AB och riktar in sig på reaktorkylpumparna på reaktor tre vid Ringhals kärnkraftverk (R3). R3an är en tryckvattenreaktor och reaktorkylpumparna är vertikala enstegs centrifugalpumpar som tillverkats av Westinghouse.Bakgrunden till detta examensarbete är att Vattenfall AB vill öka kunskapen inom modellering av LOCA (Loss-of-coolant Accident) och har startat ett projekt för modelleringen av detta i den termohydrauliska koden TRACE. En viktig del i modelleringen av LOCA är hur reaktorkylpumparna beter sig när dom får hantera ett tvåfasflöde och då främst hur försvagad deras pumpförmåga blir.För att kunna göra en korrekt modell av pumparna i TRACE behövs pumpkurvor för samtliga pumpregimer för både enfasflöde och fullt försvagat tvåfasflöde samt en kurva för hur pumpen reagerar på olika ånghalter. För de pumpar som finns på R3 finns bara kurvor för fyra pumpregimer för enfasflöde, så i dagsläget är det svårt att göra korrekta analyser av pumpförmågan.Syftet med arbetet är att få fördjupad förståelse hur reaktorkylpumparna beter sig vid ett tvåfasflöde och hur detta på bästa sätt kan modelleras för R3s pumpar och målet är att analysera och ge modelleringsförslag på bästa sättet att modellera reaktorkylpumparna i samband med tvåfasflöde.Examensarbetet har delats upp i två delar. En litteraturstudie för att utreda vilka pumpdata som skall användas för att på bästa sätt efterlikna pumparna på R3 och vad som gör att pumparna försvagas.

The Swedish do-it-yourself (DIY) market has expanded in recent years and is today a SEK90 billion market. Competition is fierce, however, and the DIY retail chains compete over market share with extensive marketing campaigns. Advances in computer technology have made it possible to acquire and compile huge quantities of point of sale data. However, due to a lack of economic theories and statistical methods, this data cannot be effectively utilized and the effects of the campaigns are not measured in any detail. In this study a new method was used to examine the effects of marketing campaigns in the DIY consumer market.

This study is a formative evaluation of a prototypecollaboratory for sharing data collection instruments inlibrary and information science (LIS). The aims were to findout: how the study participants, five hospital librarians,experienced the interaction with the prototype while workingwith predetermined tasks; and their views on the differentfunctions of the prototype collaboratory.Methods used for data collection was as a survey; followedby a think-aloud session where the participant verbalisedhis/her thoughts during the interaction with the prototype;and finally a semistructured interview. The survey wasanalysed with a frequency distribution, while the data fromthe other methods were analysed qualitatively by extractingthemes from the transcribed sessions.The results show that although the librarians expresseddifferent problems while working with the interface, mainlyrelated to the language in the prototype collaboratory anddifficulties with the page for applying metadata, all of themwere confident in being able to learn the system after using itfor a while. The librarians had a positive attitude towardssharing data collection instruments as well as comments inthe prototype collaboratory. At the same time, they wereaware that students and researchers might have differentabilities or incentives to work and share information.

The purpose of this essay is to examine when teachers choose to discuss mathematics withstudents rather then just talk about mathematics. A definition where used to distinguish betweenan interaction that is not a discussion and an interaction that is a discussion. This definition hasbeen created by drawing ideas from other works into making a quite simple definition whichtherefore is easy to observe. The discussions are also separated into two different kinds ofdiscussions. The first and most common category of discussion are one where only imitativereasoning is used.

This Master?s Thesis aims to illustrate in what ways the two Swedish environmental assessment tools, the Environmental Load Profile and EcoEffect differ and if performed valuations gives different results and environmental goals.The built urban environment causes about half the environmental loading in Sweden. The society?s ambition towards sustainable development has resulted in demands reducing the environmental load. One way to accomplish this change is with the assistance of tools for environmental assessment of the built environment.

The purpose of this study was to, through the life stories of four women and their experiences, thoughts and feelings according to a life in drug dependency reach an increased knowledge about how a dependency can arise, continue and be brought to an end. The question at issue were: How do a small amount of women describe and comprehend their experiences, thoughts and feelings according to their drug addiction seen through a process perspective. In order to answer that question three themes were investigated: the road into dependency, living as an addict and the road to recovery from dependency and the time that follows. The study followed a qualitative method and the theoretical approach was hermeneutic. The results were analysed through a process analyse perspective, from the view of the chosen theoretical perspectives, social constructivism, experience perspective and a psychodynamic perspective.

Könsuppdelningarna i hushållssysslorna har bevisats ha att göra med den generella genusideologin i det aktuella landet. Här undersöks om en man och en kvinna som tar ut större delen av föräldraledigheten baserat på familjens ekonomiska situation, samt utför samma hushållssysslor bedöms olika. Hypotesen är att män i högre grad tillskrivs egenskapen duktighet än kvinnor när de utför samma sysslor. En enkätundersökning med identiskt innehåll kring beskrivningen av en moders respektive en faders vardagssysslor presenterades och skattningar kring olika påståenden kring personens situation utfördes av deltagarna. Hypotesen har inte kunnat bevisas utan det motsatta har tvärtom delvis bekräftats, nämligen att mannen bl.a.

Sweden?s forestry legislation was updated in 2010 and a new definition of forest land was introduced. This definition was adapted to the one used by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for international statistics on the state of the world's forests. It is in short based on the lands ability to grow forest that reaches 5 meters, 10 % canopy closure and has a continuous distribution, according to FAO at least 0.5 hectares. A country-wide laser scanning is now carried out for the production of a new national elevation model; the laser data also provides information on forest height and density.

Antalet tillgängliga IPv4-adresser håller i dagsläget på att ta slut och det ärdärför nödvändigt att hitta en metod för att migrera nätverket till den nyastandarden, IPv6. En migrering kan kräva att de två IP-versionerna måsteanvändas i nätverket simultant, för att de system som är beroende av nätverketska vara tillgängliga. Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka prestandani de olika migreringsteknikerna, samt att få fram vilka tekniker som är attföredra. Med hjälp av två scenarion, uppsatta i labbmiljö, testades migreringsteknikernasprestanda med verktyget Iperf. 6to4 och GRE testades iden ena miljön samt NAT64 och Teredo i den andra miljön.

Feral animal populations are distributed over many parts of the world and are often seen as a problem. Since they are a threat against other species, destroy farmlands and can spread dis-eases, they are often referred to as pests. Artificial selection has contributed to loss of genetic diversity in our domesticated animals. Feral animal populations are affected by natural selec-tion, which allows them to adapt to the environment. Their ability to adapt is a reason to see them as pests but can also be seen as an asset.

This study examines how the Swedish newspaper G?teborgs-Posten presented Swedish identity in relation to the country?s referendum and EU-membership. By investigating the usage of the Swedish identity, related to EU-membership, the ambition is to conclude whether the newspaper was positive towards EU-membership. The empirical base consists of articles produced by G?teborgs-Posten from the first of October 1994 to the last day of January 1995.
