Information Technology (IT) makes it possible to electronically distribute data between actorswho are in geographically diverse areas. Nowadays, information is sent less frequently throughtraditional correspondence in favor of faster electronic equivalents via the internet.Despite effective IT environmentand secure encryption techniques choose some actors to sendinformation through physical delivery. This phenomenon occurs in those working withconfidential information as it is handled by a number of rules and safety regulations.Based on a set of rules and requirements, we have looked over the possibility of sending sensitiveinformation electronically over the internet. The aim was to find general guidelines for howcompanies and organizations should manage and send sensitive information over insecurenetworks. This led us to our research question: How can information be exchanged betweenactors in geographically diverse areas be categorized and encrypted so that it can be transportedover the internet without security or integrity deficiencies?To answer the question, there was a case study at a defense company.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur arbetsterapeuter inom primärvården kliniskt resonerar om individer med stressrelaterad ohälsa. Sju arbetsterapeuter verksamma inom primärvården deltog i studien. Data samlades in genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer och insamlad data analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analys av data resulterade i tre kategorier ?förändring av klientens livssituation mot en bättre balanserad vardag?, ?Underlätta förändring genom ett gott samarbete? samt ?yttre faktorers betydelse på arbetet?.

För att göra detta och därigenom kunna göra anrop på det inbyggda systemets API, måste detta anrop skickas som ett seriellt datapaket över en seriell kommunikationslänk som TCP/IP.Detta möjliggjordes genom att först upprätta en kommunikationslänk med protokollet TCP/IP, där användningen av POSIX-sockets tillämpades. Examensarbete har därför bestått av en jämförelse hur PostgreSQL står sig jämte andra DBMS:er, en implementering utav en PostgreSQLdatabas som MONITOR arbetar mot samt ett prestandatest utav skapandet av databasen.I många avseenden verkar PostgreSQL vara ett alternativ till SQL Anywhere;Alla datatyper finns i båda dialekterna.Backup av data finns i olika utföranden och går att automatiseraEnkelt att installera och uppdatera.Ingen licensieringskostnad existerar.Support finns tillgänglig i olika former.Dock så är inte PostgreSQL ett bra DBMS att byta till i dagsläget då systemet inte fungerade på grund av att vissa uttryck inte översattes ordentligt samt att ingen motsvarighet till LIST existerar. I dagsläget samlas data från tunneldrivning in manuellt och skrivs sedan in i ett dataprotokoll.Dessa protokoll används sedan som dokumentation och redovisning gentemot beställaren. The main objective of this study is to divide a number of colorectal cancer cases into subgroups based on their molecular features using cluster analysis. The data used is supplied by a research group at Pathology, the Department of Medical Biosciences, Umeå University, and consists, after some preparation, of 455 observations which is a larger data set than many similar studies. The molecular variables that the clustering is based on are CIMP (CpG Island Methylator Phenotype), MSI (Micro Satellite Instability), BRAF- and KRAS-mutations. These are categorical variables and consequently the clustering method used is PAM (Partitioning Around Medoids) which is particularly useful with data on diverse variable level. The final analysis results in four subgroups that are represented by different combinations of attributes on the aforementioned variables.

GCM is a product information management system which handles data for consumer packaged goods. GCM was developed during the middle of the nineties and was acquired by Prevas AB in 2004. The GCM application relies on the services provided by the organization GS1, which supplies global specifications and validations for trade items across several sectors. GCM is updated regularly due to the frequent changes in specifications from GS1. However, the overall graphical user interface design has not been redesigned during these years.This dissertation studies possible improvements for the webpage that handles product data in GCM.
