Uppsatsen tar upp frågan om döden inom den epikureiska filosofin. Det visar sig att frågan kan delas upp i flera frågor. Dessa delfrågor kring döden är kopplade till olika rädslor. Uppsatsen tar även upp hur frågan kring döden blir bron mellan metafysiken och etiken inom den epikureiska filosofin. Uppsatsens huvudpunkt är utredningen av Lucretius, De rerum natura.

This thesis has been done on a haulage contractor company named GP-Last (AB Gustav Perssons Åkeri) and the purpose with the paper was to analyse their traffic from Malmö to Stockholm and leave suggestions on efforts that GP-Last can use to increase their level of transportation quality. This has been done with two main questions, which problem do they have today and which efforts they need to do to solve their problems? Through a case study with interviews as method to collect data it showed that GP-Last had four main problems.        Not enough information about their freights. The transport planning unit in Malmö doesn?t have the exact delivery address when GP-Last begins to bring in the gods.        There are no clear routes.

Floor surface in pig facilities can have an impact on animal welfare and pig health, as it can cause the pig physical damage and thereby increased risk of infectious diseases and lameness. The development of pig housing systems has resulted in a decreased use of bedding. It seems hard to find the optimal floor in farrowing pens, as it must suit both the sow and piglets. The floor friction needs to be adequate to avoid slips and at the same time should the floor be non-abrasive. Abrasions and lesions caused by the floor are not only causing the animal suffering, but are also negative from an economical aspect.

Produktplakatet reglerar än idag ett förbud för utländska redare att bedriva sjöfart på svenska vatten. En sådan aktivitet kallas för cabotage, vilket är franska och betyder ?kustfart?.Produktplakatets lydelse och den praktiska tillämpningen av förordningen genom behörig myndighet skiljer sig åt på olika sätt.

Idén om den här förskolan startade i en undersökning av platsen och en inventering av dess historia och samtid. Här har förr i tiden funnits ett stort gods, en så kallad malmgård, och tomtens närmsta granne är den bevarade byggnaden från Ekermanska malmgården. Denna ägs idag av en hembygdsförening som har begränsade medel att tillgå. Den ligger dold på en liten återvändsgränd och är alldeles för otillgänglig. Här bakom går tågspåren, men det finns även rum för en lummig trädgård med gamla ekar, och intill finns en gammaldags dansbana som byggdes under 70-talet.En del av uppgiften var att peka ut ytterligare användningar för förskolan.

By examine cremated remains from graves dated to late Iron Age I wanted to find out what sorts of animals were placed in the graves. But also to see if the animal sacrifices had any connection to the Old Norse religion. The osteological material that were analysed were from both cremated humans and animals and had been dated to Viking Age. The material is from burial ground 59 at Laxare, Boge parish on Gotland. In addition to the human remains, the material contains bones from horse, cattle, sheep/goat, pig, dog, cat, bear, birds and fish.

This master thesis was performed as a mission from Holmen Skog with the purpose to investigate to which extent their own machine teams and engaged contractors were exposed to theft and vandalism, and most common preventive measures used. With the help of collected data the study should lead to proposals of preventive measures that can help the machine teams in their struggle to minimise theft and vandalism. Theft and vandalism are a big problem for Swedish forest contractors. In a scarce economic situation thefts and vandalism rapidly decrease the profit for the contractors. However, the last years have resulted in a positive awareness of thefts, and more and better preventive measures have been developed. With the initiative of this master thesis, Holmen Skog show that they are aware of the situation and that they wish to take control of the problem. A total amount of 108 questionnaires was sent out to Holmen?s own machine teams and engaged contractors.

Begravningen beskrivs som en livskris där olika maktförhållanden uppstår. Olika sociala relationer inom gruppen lyfts fram.Ibn Fadlan beskriver hur gods och föremål strukturerades och förbrukades i och runt gravhögen. De kan liknas vid rituella objekt och kan knytas till rûs vardagliga sedvänjor och deras ekonomiska förhållanden.

In the aftermath of scandals such as Enron, Parmalat and Skandia, demand has increased for Corporate Governance codes and similar regulation. The Swedish code for Corporate Governance came into effect on July 1, 2005. The code requires all Swedish companies listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange (OMX A- and O-list), with a turnover exceeding 3 billion SEK, to disclose a report regarding Corporate Governance, attached to the annual report.The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the new disclosure required by the Swedish Corporate Governance code will have a measurable effect on stock prices. The authors have applied event study methodology examining daily returns around the announcement of the Corporate Governance reports.

This essay is about how the aesir are used as an ideal image of the original Nordic aspects and as a symbol of heroism and pure strength. The main subject of this essay is to look at how this ideal of masculinity is represented in the art produced during the era of romantic nationalism. The choice of focusing on this era in particular is made due to the fact that it was during this time that the modern images of the aesir and the Vikings were made. The purpose of this study is to examine how the ideal of masculinity reflects upon the artistic interpretations of the Norse mythology in a selected group of art work produced during the 1800?s.

To guarantee the customers a job satisfactory executed Sydved has been certified by the ISO 14001 standard. One part of the certification is the standards of soil damages. The soil damages were over represented during 1999 and 2000. It was therefore a need to study the problem in order to see what could be done to reduces these damages. A filed study was carried out on 21 subjectively selected stands from the following five districts: Vänersborg, Falköping, Borås, Jönköping and Åseda. As the study is a descriptive study of the soil damages, their character and extension, only stands were tracks were reported were considered.

Detta examensarbete utgör resultatet av en studie på uppdrag av Volvo Cars Torslanda (VCT) i Göteborg. Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka produktflödena mellan VCT och dess leverantörer med hjälp av analyser. Dessutom utreds hur transporterna skulle kunna optimeras och vilka konsekvenser som uppstår. Beräkningar, diskussioner och analyser resulterar i rekommendationer för företaget.För att få mer kunskap om transportlogistik, produktionsekonomi och miljöpåverkan av transporter genomförs först en litteraturstudie. En granskning av nuläget beskriver hur situationen ser ut i dagsläget och ger även en detaljerad bild av flödena från leverantörer till VCT.Sex stycken flöden vars gods transporteras från leverantörer till VCT har undersökts.

The study investigates questions and considerations emerging when stone in historic buildings needs to be replaced. The focus is on the surface treatment of stone in sandstone façades in pre-industrial buildings. That means buildings constructed by traditional methods and craftsmanship without the use of modern technology.The research issue originates from the extensive stonework that is planned for the façades of the Stockholm Palace. The project includes the replacement of large quantities of damaged stone to newly cut stone. This raises the questions about the use of modern and rational methods for surface treatment on the replacement stone.

Prevas AB har utvecklat ett lagerhanteringssystem som kallas Snitcher Warehouse. Programmet körs på handdatorer och används av lagerarbetare för att underlätta det dagliga arbetet. Applikationen innehåller bland annat funktioner för att hantera gods som inkommer till lagret, det hanterar också flera olika typer av plocklistor samt funktioner för saldo och inventering. Lagerhanteringssystemet körs mot ett affärssystem som heter Movex/M3.Affärssystemet är stort och komplext samt innehåller många fler funktioner än vad Snitcher Warehouse har användning för. För att kunna demonstrera och felsöka applikationen behövs en uppkoppling mot affärssystemet samt tillgänglig testdata i det.

The project was initiated by Medipharm which produce microbial inoculants which used as additives to preserve forage. The main goal was to test three inoculants to produce maize silege. The following Medipharm produced inoculants were tested, Milab 393, Lactisil Wolecrop II, Lactisil 300 2. An untreated control was included in the study. The trial was done at Swedish university of Agriculture and Science in Alnarp, Sweden. Eurostar was the cultivar of the maize and was grown on 20, 5 hectares.
