The purpose of this paper is to find out if there are any simple solutions to attract an increased use of public transportation in a smaller town in Sweden. Simple solutions are measures that can be taken within the current budget, and which do not require large investments and extensive political decisions. In order to search for possible solutions I needed to find out which factors and attitudes that determine why people choose public transportation and peoples? traveling habit. I have made a survey study of satisfaction and attitudes among the consumers of a public transportation company in Växjö; Länstrafken Kronoberg.

Bakgrund: Multipel skleros (MS) är en vanlig neurologisk autoimmun sjukdom hos kvinnor i Nordamerika och Europa. I Sverige har cirka 18 000 människor MS. Sjukdomen är obotlig och kan påverka personens livskvalité. Syfte: Att beskriva vuxna kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med MS. Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserat på 12 kvalitativa artiklar.

Forskning har visat att den komplexa miljö som tränare är verksamma i kan leda till både psykiska och fysiska problem på grund av den press denna miljö skapar. Fotbollstränare verkar i en miljö som såväl på som utanför fotbollsplanen ställer hårda krav på dem och framkallar stress hos dem vilket i värsta fall kan leda till att de blir utbrända.Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera  de mest frekventa stressorerna som upplevdes av svenska elitfotbollstränare som rapporterades med höga nivåer av utbrändhet år 2003.Åtta stycken fotbollstränare på elitnivå i Sverige har identifierats ur tidigare insamlad data där de genomgick en enkätstudie. I studien svarade de bland annat på Maslach Burnout Inventory och Job Stress Survey som mäter utbrändhetsnivå respektive stressnivå.Resultatet visar att det finns åtta stycken stressorer som sticker ut från mängden där den mest frekvent upplevda stressorn bland dessa utbrända fotbollstränare år 2003  är att ?Fatta viktiga beslut?. Resultatet visar också att det finns samband mellan flera av de mest frekventa stressorerna..

The main purpose of my essay is to inquire into the situation in the preparatory classes. The focus of interest in the essay is to see how new arrived pupils/children from Iraq integrate in the new school environment, foreign culture and what difficulties they come across during their period at the preparatory class. Such as language difficulties and how they manage with the traumatic memories from the war and the effect of that in their learning.I choose to do a qualitative survey and taking part in observing a preparatory class to see how they work. Thereafter, to see from a different perspective and understand the pupils more and perhaps go deeper with some questions I choose to interview some of the pupils. The responds I received gave me a more comprehensible idea of the struggle these children have been through and still go through in a daily basis.The result of this study illustrates the character of a preparatory class, and the central factors that occur in their education.

The purpose of this study was to examine the problematic and frustrating aspects of parenthood in the modern runaway world of today. In other words, we wanted to study how parents in Sweden experienced their life as parents in the beginning of the 21th century.We wanted to find answers to the following questions:What kind of problems do parents experience and how do they deal with these problems?What would parents consider to be typical for them as parents compared to how they remember their own parents?What do parents think about family politics?Do parents think they need parent education?If parents want parent education, why do they want it?To answer these questions we used qualitative interviews. With this method we got information from six parents and five professional parent educators who was kind enough to let us interview them. We also gathered information about the subject through literature and news articles.The result of the study can be divided into three parts.

This paper aims to investigate what part Swedish media plays when it comes to portraying hiv and people infected by the virus. The study comes from articles published in Sweden's two largest daily newspapers, Dagens Nyheter and Göteborgs Posten, in 2007.By using discourse analysis we found that hiv within Sweden is described as related to riskgroups or risk behaviour and that individuals with hiv is portrayed as average people living normal lives. Except for the above described pattern, stories about so called hiv-men frequently occur. Overall, the words abroad and foreigners are reproduced in articles about individuals living with hiv or aids. When it comes to articles describing hiv abroad, aids is more in focus and people living with the virus is portrayed as innocent victims.

When a child is diagnosed with diabetes the whole family is affected. The effect of the illness often means drastically changes to their daily life. The aim of this study has been to describe the experiences of the parents´ having a child fallen ill with diabetes. The study has been done as a general literature study. The procedure has been to systematically search, critically investigate and summarise results from different studies made on the chosen area of subject.

Den urbana situationen idag, med en majoritet av människor som bor och arbetar i städerna, sätter stor press på en välfungerande planeringsprocess. Denna uppsats undersöker hur konsultföretaget Urban Utveckling och Samhällsplanering AB kan utveckla sina analysverktyg när de utvärderar urbana områden då analyserna idag inte argumenterar för prioritering av särskilda åtgärder. Förslaget var att utveckla en prioriteringsprocess som skulle ta in viktiga aspekter av urban planering i beräkningarna, aspekter som skulle kunna påverka denna process. Baserat på intervjuer med lokala aktörer jämfördes sociala och ekonomiska aspekter med varandra och i relation till syftet för analysen, vilket var att området skulle förbättras både för fastighetsförvaltaren och för invånarna. Resultatet presenterade fem åtgärder som genom deras sociala påverkan ? kopplat till syftet för analysen ? borde anses mer aktuella än de övriga.

The purpose was to look into the pattern of consumption among middleage women. Our questions were how women experienced the need to consume, how they defined the expression of consumption and if there was a difference between "shopping" and "buying". The research has been done through eight qualitative interviews and searching in litterature, illuminating our questions.All women defined consumption as satisfying basic needs. According to them everything bought on a daily bases is consumption. More difficult to define was the experience of "need".

Googling their employees and job seekers are becoming more common andin that we live our lives more and more on the internet it becomes moreimportant how we act and to think about what you publish on the internet.Each time you press a key, will leave a digital footprint behind and thereforeit?s important to know how to deal with this. The purpose was to describehow a person strategically can proceed to build an identity on the internet toget benefits in the job seeking process in the media industry and to describethe importance of the digital identity in the recruitment process in a smallertown. We?ve used a qualitative approach and made eight interviews withrecruiters from the media and also people who have built a digital identity.We?ve used Bauman?s theory about consumer society, Montoya?s eight lawsof personal branding and also theories about profiling, and communicationsplanning to analyze the material.

The main purpose of this study was to examine how preschool teachers are working to promote each child's language development and whether they can ensure that they do that. Therefore I wanted to find out what a good language development implies for each teacher, how they work to promote each child's language development in daily practice, how they measure the actual language development and also what conditions the teachers have, to engage in a language development way to work. For the study, I chose a qualitative method, with structured interviews and all together I interviewed six preschool teachers, within the same organization in a suburb close to Stockholm.  The results showed that there is an ambiguity, among the preschool teachers, in what a good language development means, but it can be stated that they do have a language development way to work even if it needs to be developed. Further on, it has emerged that the teachers have the tools to measure children's language development, although they do not have the conditions yet to use the method to the fullest. About the preschool teachers own conditions in order to operate in a language development way to work, I concluded that they have a strong foundation to build on, but they still have much work ahead of them.

Aktiebolagets ekonomiska förehavanden, styrelsens och verkställande direktörens förvaltning ska varje år granskas av en godkänd eller auktoriserad revisor.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur små aktiebolag upplever revisionsplikten och de diskussioner som föregick valet av bolagsform. Dessutom jämförs företagarnas åsikter med de diskussioner som förs i ekonomisk press om huruvida revisionsplikten i små aktiebolag ska förändras eller helt avskaffas. Informationen som ligger till grund för undersökningen är intervjuer med fyra företag och debattartiklar från den ekonomiska pressen som sedan analyserats för att nå fram till slutsatser. I Sverige pågår idag en debatt om en eventuell förändring av revisionsplikten.

Inspired by the current debate over the effectiveness of Public Relations (PR), the authors of the following thesis have sought to analyze how PR and advertising differ in terms of how they affect consumers. The subject of the thesis was chosen due to the lacking knowledge of how PR shapes consumer attitudes and intentions. The authors wish to upset the institutionalized myths which dominate in the PR-business. One example of such a myth is that the effectiveness of PR can be measured by the number of press releases an activity produces and that PR?s superiority over advertising is due to its higher trustworthiness.

Denna studie har som fokus att identifiera de faktorer som påverkade utgångspunkten för den tänkta fusionen mellan svenska Telia och norska Telenor samt fusionen TeliaSonera. Ytterligare skall faktorer som kunde ha underlättat och möjliggjort fusionen Telia/Telenor besvaras. Dessutom skall fusionen mellan Telia och finska Sonera studeras och jämföras med den förstnämnda fusionen för att påvisa vad som gjordes annorlunda under förhandlingarna med Sonera.Detta kommer att undersökas genom ett antal tidningsartiklar kring händelseförloppen samt intervjuer med personer som har kunskap och erfarenhet kring ämnet.
