In Sweden, selection for leanness in pigs has been going on for almost a century. This sometimes results in gilts and sows being too lean and consequently in a risk for reduced reproduction and health status. The Swedish recommendation includes that gilts should be mated after seven months of age, after one documented oestrus, at 120-140kg live weight and with a backfat thickness of 16-20mm. Five gilt producing herds were visited and records of age, heart girth (for weight estimation), body condition (visual estimation), backfat thickness and exterior were made. The same records were also taken in four gilt buying herds on newly purchased gilts.

My aim of this investigation has been to study Delacroix relation to the Orient, based on a number of key questions:What was specific for Delacroix oriental works?How did his oriental painting change and mature over time?How was Delacroix relation to the oriental discourse?The paper is divided into three parts: the time before his trip to Morocco in 1832, the trip to Morocco and the period after Morocco.Although many have wanted to see Delacroix as a revolutionary, he worked the whole time within, and dialogue with, the classical tradition. In Delacroix quest for renewal of history painting, the oriental works play an important role. In the period before his trip to Morocco the literary sources dominated. He constructed his own Orient in his studio.It is clear that Delacroix did not stood outside the oriental discourse.

This paper is a literature study aiming to describe scientists newest theories andknowledge concerning the El Niño and Southern Oscillation. Firstly I have described the?normal? conditions with rising and sinking air in Hadley- and Walker-cells in theequatorial Pacific and from there moved on to explaining the reversed circulation patternsand higher sea surface temperatures (SST) leading to rising air and anomalousprecipitation in eastern Pacific constituting the El Niño phenomenon. My outermostinterest regarding El Niño has been the associated teleconnections, especially in nontropicalareas. I have described the El Niño effect on the Indian summer monsoon, ontropical cyclones and on storms and precipitation on higher latitudes.

This paper considers the Swedish regulations of purchase taking the perspective of private persons as a starting point. The law of purchase from the year 1990 is applicable on a number of legal purchase situations where the contracting parties varies. Nevertheless, the law is mainly focused on the purchase between businessmen. This places private persons on level with businessmen, since they are given equal responsibility regarding legal knowledge and the drawing up of contracts. In order to get a deeper knowledge of the law of purchase and to reach an understanding of how it should be interpreted we have studied the government bill on the law, cases from the Supreme Court, doctine on the area and legal articles. The purpose with this paper is to examine whether the law of purchase from the year 1990 is too old to be applicable on private purchases today.

Uppsatsens undersökningsområde är den världsomspännande idé eller rörelse som går under beteckningen Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), företags samhälleliga ansvar. En viktig del i CSR-rörelsen är den internationella avtalskonstruktion som benämns Global Compact. Med FN som plattform har ett globalt samarbete mellan företag och intressegrupper upprättats där frågan om företags samhälleliga ansvar behandlas med hjälp av tio principer. Undersökningen har två delsyften; A) att beskriva och undersöka bolags samhälleliga ansvar enligt Global Compact, särskilt enligt principerna 1 och 2, samt B) att kritiskt pröva frågan om det ansvaret är förenligt med bolags legala vinstsyfte. Först följer en deskriptiv redogörelse av CSR och Global Compact för att visa på grunder, struktur och terminologi.

On-site sewage systems are common on the countryside of Sweden with approximately one million on-site systems installed. Due to insufficient function, these contribute significantly to the total discharge of phosphorus to rivers and lakes, causing eutrophication. In order to reduce eutrophication and to fulfil one of the environmental quality objectives, the decision was taken by the Swedish Government in 2005 that 60 % of phosphorous in sewage sludge is to be recycled to arable land before 2015. To make recycling a reality, new solutions have to be found. Federation of Swedish Farmers (LRF) takes an active interest in this issue and has initiated this study. One problem is that the food industry is sceptical towards recirculation due to the risks that products from sewage systems may contain pathogens, heavy metals and unwanted chemical compounds, e.g.

During the early Middle Ages beech forests (Fagus sylvatica L.) spread out over large parts of southern Sweden. They had a crucial role in human survival for hundreds of years. For various reasons, the beech forest area has decreased since the 1600s. Spruce planted on former beech forest land was the primary reason for the decline during the second half of the 1900s, which made many worried about the future of the beech forests and led to a beech forest act in 1974. This study describes the background to the beech forest act based on parliamentary official documents.

>>>SYFTE<<<Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera huruvida föreslagna förändringar, avseende hantering av goodwill, vid en tillämpning av IASB:'s Exposure Draft 3: Busines's Combination's kan bidra till en bättre redovisning i form av en mer tillförlitlig, begriplig, relevant och jämförbar värdering av de studerade företagen's goodwillposter. Vi ämnar även undersöka vilket av de båda regelverken som kvalitetsmässigt ger den ?bästa? redovisningen i form av en korrekt värdering och rättvisande bild. >>>METOD<<< Uppsatsen bygger på en fallstudie av tio företag där företagen har illustrerat för- respektive nackdelar vid en implementering av ED 3. Använda företagsspecifik information har främst utgjort's av företagen's finansiella rapporter.

Bakgrund och problem: Externredovisningens utveckling sker till stor del på internationell nivå, där organisationerna IASB och FASB genomför ett konvergensprojekt för harmonisering mellan IFRS och US GAAP. För att undersöka vilka effekter föreslagna förändringar i intäktsredovisningen kommer att få söker arbetet svar på hur svenska IT-företag tillämpar dagens rekommendationer och hur deras externredovisning är förberedd på de förändringar som normgivarna har föreslagit.Syfte: Att identifiera vilka förändringar som IASB:s och FASB:s konvergensprojekt kan komma att innebära för intäktsredovisning hos svenska IT-företag. För att skapa en bild av utgångsläget innefattar detta att kartlägga hur svenska IT-företag tillämpar IAS 18.Avgränsningar: Arbetet behandlar de IT-företag som är noterade på NASDAQ OMX Nordics Stockholmslista enligt börsens definition av IT-företag. Den del av arbetet som behandlar de föreslagna förändringarna för intäktsredovisning utgår från utkastet Exposure Draft: Revenue from Contracts with Customers som presenterades i juni 2010.Metod: Det empiriska materialet består av en praxisundersökning av noter om intäktsredovisning i årsredovisningarna hos samtliga noterade IT-företag på NASDAQ OMX Nordics Stockholmslista, samt av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra personer med ansvar för externredovisning på IT-företag och med två redovisningsspecialister från revisionsbyråer.Resultat och slutsatser: Årsredovisningars noter saknar ofta väsentlig information om hur redovisningen av intäkter upprättas. Svenska IT-företag anser IAS 18 vara en god normgivning för intäktsredovisning och ser begränsad nytta av principerna bakom de föreslagna förändringarna.

På redovisningsområdet pågår det ständigt förändringar och under den senaste tiden har stort fokus legat på BFN. Nämnden har sedan 2004 arbetat med det så kallade K-projektet där målet är att ta fram samlade regelverk för företag i olika form och storlek. I denna uppsats ligger fokus på K3-regelverket som huvudsakligen är anpassat för större onoterade aktiebolag samt ekonomiska föreningar. Tanken är att regelverket ska baseras på IFRS for SMEs som är IASBs regelverk för små och medelstora företag. I dagsläget finns inget samlat regelverk för dessa bolag i Sverige för upprättande av årsredovisning.

Glass has sophisticated front properties and are used as facades in high buildings. During cold periods, these glass facades could cause thermal discomfort, due to cold downdraught. Cold downdraught can be countered by placing heaters under glass surfaces. Nowadays technology offers highly insulating windows, which is why there is an interest to investigate the indoor climate with only underfloor heating. The research in this area is limited, and few empirical methods are available.

Forskning kring tillväxten av leasing har idag resulterat i att leasing omfattas av en femtedel av den totala externa finansieringen företag väljer att anskaffa tillgångar på. Ett företags finansieringsmöjligheter sätter prägel på huruvida företag överlever på marknaden idag. Då leasing är ett av de mest attraktiva finansieringsalternativen var det högaktuellt att undersöka vad leasing var samt hur redovisningen skiljer sig åt av leasing mellan företag och länder. Den stora frågan som företag måste ta hänsyn till är om de ska lånefinansiera eller leasa sina tillgångar. Rent teoretiskt är dessa förfaringssätt likartade vad gäller kostnader och betalningsansvar.

Under examenskursen har jag studerat bilder som används istället för text. Många oväntade upptäckter och insikter dök upp längs vägen, vilket ibland medförde att jag ändrade fokus. Projektets process kom därför att bli ganska krokig.Från början var jag inne på att skapa språk som bygger på bilder. Tanken var att möjliggöra internationell kommunikation och kommunikation med personer med talhandikapp. Jag tänkte ?översätta? en text till bilder, som en skiss på ett sådant språk.
