GE Healthcare wants to investigate whether additive manufacturing would be an alternative method in their workshops in the Umea? plant. Additive manufacturing is called 3D printing in everyday language and manufactures details by building them up layer by layer in an automated machine. The purpose of this work is therefore to investigate how mature additive manufacturing methods are and how they could be used at GE.The work has been divided into three parts. The first section investigates how additive manufacturing would work in the production workshop at GE.

This is a non-traditional examination paper written after three years of studies at Malmö University and the Kaospilot Program. It is written in Swedish and in the spring of 2009. It describes a non-linear project based on a process-orientated theory called Theory-U by Otto C. Scharmer (2009). The project aims to investigate the changing conditions of Stage Theatre and deals with non-linearity as phenomena.

I och med detta har flertalet terrornätverk dykt upp och terrorismen har lämnat få människor opåverkade.Detta arbete syftar till att analysera hur attacken på World Trade Center påverkade händelseförloppet i USA och den militära insatsen. Genom att använda John Wardens teori om luftrumskontroll kommer en jämförande studie mellan hur luftstridskrafterna användes under konflikten i Kosovo år 1999 och under den i Afghanistan för att förklara likheter och skillnader.Studien utgår från en kvalitativ dataanalys av rapporter skrivna i direkt närhet till respektive konflikt.Undersökningens resultat visar på ett väl organiserat och standardiserat sätt att utföra luftstrid på. En tydlighet i taktiken där fokus genomgående, i respektive konflikt, läggs på samma sorts mål. Men även tydliga skillnader mellan konflikterna går att särskåda men det påpekas dock att en direkt kausalitet mellan dessa skillnader och attacken är svår att peka ut.Slutligen förs en diskussion kring hur attacken kan ha påverkat den insats som gjordes i Afghanistan genom en jämförelse mellan båda konflikterna.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka styrningen av unga vuxna inom ett av Sveriges ledande försäkringsbolag. Den problematik som legat till grund för studiens ämnesval är den uppmärksamhet svensk och internationell media på senare tid skapat kring dagens nyinträdda arbetskraft. Den unga arbetskraften beskrivs som individer som ställer betydande krav på sitt arbete i form av självständighet och flexibilitet. Samtidigt som tidigare studier visar på att traditionell, byråkratisk organisering finns kvar inom dagens organisationer. Resultat som motsätter sig den unga arbetskraftens krav om självständighet och flexibilitet.

ABSTRACTGustafsson, J. & Söderqvist, N., ??The Island of Peace in the Sea of War? A newspaper study of Växjö city?s newspaper editorials regarding the conflicts of the Second World War in the Nordic countries?, Linnaeus University. A qualitative textual analysis delving into three local newspapers from Växjö city is in many ways the essence of this study. The main purpose of this study is to examine three key conflicts, the Winter War, Operation Weserübung and the Continuation War. Each conflict has been assessed in relation to the opinions advocated in the editorials of the three politically diverse newspapers.The theoretical basis for this study is founded on similar analysis made by Nybom, Johansson and Åmark who all have contributed to the content of this particular essay.

This thesis analyses the intertextual relation between Birgitta Trotzig?s I Kejsarens tid and the works of the Polish author Bruno Schulz, using a hermeneutical method. The application of Manfred Pfister?s model for qualification of intertextual intensity initially motivates that the most important intertextual relations should be sought in the realm of ?refer to? rather than ?use?. According to the hermeneutical approach, the conclusion demands an exposition of Birgitta Trotzig?s interpretative practices in relation to intertexts.

The study has got three aims. The first purpose is to implement the Newman et al.s rampage theory (2004) in a more dominant European context. In this way, the theory?s strengths and weaknesses can be exposed. The second objective is to look at the motive.

Many archaeologists have been intrigued by how often symbolic houses of varying forms are used on the burialgrounds of the Scandinavian Bronze Age. Some scholars even claim that to deal with the dead did not mean to set them apart from the world of the living during this period. Since several examples show that there seem to be an active connection between the ship-setting and different types of symbolic houses, this study seek to demonstrate and interpret how the ideology behind these symbols vary between three regionally different Swedish areas: Halland, Småland and Gotland. The purpose is to show that the way chosen to shape the symbols materially not only had fundamental impact on the organization of the burialground itself, but also on how the surrounding world came to comprenhend and use them. This study suggests that even though the special shapes of the graves and the gravefield itself can carry meaning, the materialization of the monuments can be interpreted as incorporated in a practice of remembrance in where the individual shaping of the grave most probably formed part of a greater story..

This paper will look at different factors that make professional bloggers popular and as an example on their responsibility as a role model. Volvo Hauler & Loader Division in Arvika produces wheel loaders which they deliverthroughout the world. The factory which is situated in Arvika is the largest wheel loader plant in the whole world, with its 1 100 employees. The different models stretch from L60E all theway up to the brand new L350F, with a loader capacity from six tons up to a staggering 35.The assembly of the different models are divided into three different assembly lines, Small(L60-L90), Medium (L110-L120) and Large (L150-L220). This master thesis examines commercial video games and their relation to the concept of immersion and realism. Games as a communicative medium is quite a new area of interest within rhetorical research in Sweden. Most of the research conducted has, however, been focused on gaming and formation on opinion ? games that explicitly tries to persuade the player, unlike commercial games that focus on entertainment, that is. But that does not mean that commercial games cannot influence us.

The purpose with this study is to map the research front and the research base in information science, by using the bibliometric methods bibliographic coupling and author-co citation analysis. The research questions are: 1. What is the nature of the research front in information science, regarding which areas that are being studied? 2. What is the nature of the research base in information science, regarding which authors who are most cited, and how they can be grouped? The data used in the study were gathered from articles published in the journal Journal of the American society for information science and technology, published between 2004-2006, respectively 1986-2006.
