The purpose of this study is to identify the points-of-difference that should form the basis for Bryggarsalen?s future marketing efforts. Bryggarsalen is a newly established conference business in Stockholm. To be able to identify these points-of-difference, Bryggarsalen?s marketing problems have been studied from the resource-based view, claiming that the source of sustained competitive advantage derive from a firm?s unique bundle of resources.

The purpose of this study is to examine the change in consumer behaviour regarding the intention towards buying fruit when the layout of the fruit section has been altered. We want to increase the probability of making impulse purchases by altering the layout. In our study we have combined structured quantitative observations with structured quantitative as well as qualitative interviews, with secondary data in the form of sales data from two selected ICA-stores. We chose to use this triangulated approach in order to cross-examine our findings and overcome the limitations of one method by the use of another. Further, the Latin square design was used for the observations as a means to acknowledge the calendar effect during the experiment.

Arbetet grundar sig både i en empirisk och teoretisk studie. Jag har gjort en kvalitativ undersökning, där en observation på tre olika skolor i Västerbotten har lagt en grund för arbetet. Fokus har legat på att studera hur lärare tar tillvara och kopplar undervisningen till elevens tidigare kunskaper, för att få en helhet och förståelse i skolan samt hur moment börjar och avslutar och om det sker någon uppföljning kring momenten. I observationen låg även fokus på hur elevernas färdiga material hanteras och samlas.Syftet är att försöka komma på ett sätt att kunna dra nytta av tidigare kunskaper eleven fått, för att skapa förståelse och ett helhetsperspektiv i skolan. Jag har gjort litteraturstudier hur portfolioteknik fungerar och hur man kan koppla till tidigare kunskaper.

Corporate responsibility is a popular phenomenon of today. The interest for the subject is extensive and means for implementing corporate responsibility strategies within organizations are demanded. There are studies showing how management control systems can be used in order to implement general strategies into organizations. Still, management control systems designed for the implementation of corporate responsibility strategies, in particular, are not provided by the current academia. The aim of this paper is to contribute to studies within management control systems by studying the management control system specifically designed to implement corporate responsibility strategies.

The complex, ever growing and changing environment, requires that today's organizations are dynamic and willing to change in order to stand competitive.This awareness has made change number one priority in almost all organizations' agenda.We live in a world that is constantly changing, yet many organizations fail to change successfully. When a change occurs in complex environments with multiple stakeholders, it immediately increases the complexity and the challenges of the change process.A complex situation may arise when, for example, partial outsourcing of the corporate information system infrastructure. Two of the most difficult challenges that organizations face today is to conduct a successful change process and managing the effect of a change, such as arising expectations. It is very common for change in an organization not to achieve the desired result or that they even fail. There may be a lot of reasons for these failures.

The aim of this thesis is, from a business perspective, to examine how the pharmacy chain Medstop is working with their positioning in order to achieve competitiveness in the re-regulated pharmacy market. This is studied through a theoretical framework that demonstrates five forces that affects the competitiveness in an industry, the five-force model by Michael Porter.The thesis is a qualitative case study where data collection was done through interviews, literature, articles, websites and internal information from Medstop. The data was then complied into the theoretical perspective the authors have chosen for this paper, the five-force model by Michael Porter. This model was chosen because it gives a broad description of the competition a company faces by describing five different forces that affect the competition within a branch. The fact was collected on the basis of the marketing strategy positioning, and the essay is written from a business perspective.Our cunclusions are that the pharmacy chain Medstop are in their initial positioning and has chosen to position itself on the basis of their core values; credibility, safety and security.

Bakgrund: Ett sätt att minska risker vid handel med finansiella instrument är att bygga portföljer. För att kunna hantera portföljer med olika finansiella instrument och valutor samt kunna hantera flera portföljer samtidigt, används portföljhanteringssystem. Studenter kan genom att använda sig av sådana system lära sig hur finansiella marknader fungerar. Kraven på ett portföljhanteringssystem är inte desamma som kraven på ett kommersiellt system och därför finns det ett behov att utveckla en modell för denna kontext.Syfte: Denna uppsats ämnar bygga en modell i PowerPlus Pro som studenter kan använda sig av för att befästa sina kunskaper och öka sin förståelse för hur finansiella instrument fungerar.Metod: För att bygga modellen har kvalitativ metod används och för att studera hur portföljhanteringssystem ska byggas och anpassas efter studenters behov har kvalitativa intervjuer använts.Slutsatser: Vår modell uppfyller de krav som ställts på den och är anpassad för undervisning på ett universitet genom att den är användarvänlig och pedagogiskt uppbyggd. Modellen lämpar sig inte för användning av markadsaktörer.     .

We will also examine which objectives of the budget are highlighted in the companies. Further, we examine the relationship between                         organization, strategies and budgeting and how it affects the company            management. Method: In this study we used a qualitative approach. We used a multiple case                  study to examine corporate approach to budgeting.

När en skattskyldig blir beskattad flera gånger för samma inkomst, i minst två länder och under samma tidsperiod, uppstår juridisk dubbelbeskattning. En vanlig metod för att i möjligaste mån undvika dubbelbeskattning är att stater ingår bilaterala dubbelbeskattningsavtal med varandra. I ett dubbelbeskattningsavtal avgör de avtalsslutande staterna vilken stat som, i en rad olika situationer, ska ha beskattningsrätt och vilken stat som till följd därav avstår från sin rätt till beskattning. Därigenom undviks, så långt det är möjligt, att en skattskyldig beskattas fler gånger för samma inkomst.Dubbelbeskattning undviks även inom EU genom bilaterala dubbelbeskattningsavtal. Return handling is often regarded as a slow and complex process. Studies have shown that it is not unusual for a return to cost up to nine times as much as a standard outbound delivery. An efficient return handling process is therefore essential to all competitive companies dealing with logistics. This report investigates, analyzes and gives suggestions on development with the purpose to improve the return handling process at LensLogistics AB in Kista, north of Stockholm, Sweden. The study has been conducted from a deliberately practical point of view in order to suggest improvement suggestions possible to implement and thereby change the entire return handling process.

The goal with this essay is to investigate problems in processes of a government agency andthereby determine whether a Business Process Reengineering can create a more effectiveworkflow. The foundation of this essay lies in how customers perceive its business processesas reported from Internet forums. By adopting a qualitative approach, this is supplemented bythe statements and reports from the public business. The qualitative method that has been usedin this study is a content analysis of the threads from two major Internet forums that highlightthe problems associated with the examination of firearms licensing and the routine that exists.The method also gave us the opportunity to study the public business own view of theirprocesses. This was done by exploring their statements in media and their own reports aboutthis area.This essay is the result of a case-based study and during the course of the study we haveidentified five themes related to; time, management, communication, competence, andregulations.
