In this essay I evaluate the legality of Karl Popper?s criticism against psychoanalysis, regarding this theory of Freud?s being pseudoscientific. Popper?s criticism is based on his theory of demarcation in which he states that an empirical theory must be possible to test by observations in order to be, as most important is, hypothetically possible to falsify based on other empirical statements ? often in the form of new found facts that contradict the original statement/theory. In purpose of assessing Popper?s criticism I perform a modified idea analysis, based on a book by Evert Vedung (1977).

AbstractThe author Selma Lagerlöf was born in 1858 at Mårbacka, in Värmland and died in 1940. Fifty years after Selma´s death were her correspondence released and ten thousand of letters were found in the collection. But it was just the correspondence between Selma and Sofie Elkan who interested people because they wanted to know if Selma and Sofie have had a sexual relationship. Later, in time for Christmas 2008 the Swedish Television shows a film about Selma. "Selma Lagerlöf Society" was critical to the movie and thougt that the movie focused too much on Selma`s sexual orientation.

This paper concerns the question of how one can frame a political message. I investigate how a political frame is bound both to the line of argumentation connected with a certain discourse and to the audience closely related to that discourse.I have chosen to study a single case where the policy process was characterized by a framing contest. The case shows how negotiating the new Services Directive is affected by framing efforts made by the parties negotiating.My conclusions are that the question of a Services Directive lent itself to a definition in terms of "either/or"-arguments. Thus the Directive could be considered either a threat or a possibility. It was the very nature of the matter - the development of the internal market on services - that made possible a debate along the lines of a "left/right"-struggle and where a frame that drew from the European Social Model offered the better explanation thereby succeding in defining the new Directive as a threat.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på avdelningen Mätteknik & Teknologi (REI) på Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB i Finspång. Målet med arbetet var att konstruera och designa en ny utrustning för kalibrering av brännarna till gasturbinen SGT-750. Dagens befintliga utrustning har ett stort kalibreringsbehov och genom att ersätta komponenter i dagens utrustning med nya som är mer optimala för kalibreringen fås bättre mätnoggrannhet, beräkningarna blir enklare och kalibreringsbehovet av utrustningen blir mindre. Därmed skapas en tidsvinst för företaget. Idag används mätsträckor i utrustningen och de kommer i den framtagna utrustningen att ersättas av en massflödesmätare av typ Coriolis.På grund av att examensarbetet är ett delprojekt i ett större projekt som har försenats, mot förväntad tidsplan, så har examensarbetets huvudsakliga innehåll ändrats under projekttiden.

Husums plant has a selection of different pulp pumps at bleaching plant 4 and 5. The displacement- (HC-pump, Sund Defibrator PTD-60) and centrifugalpumps (MC-pump, MCA 42-200, MCP 30/20) are of interest in this report. The centrifugal pumps are controlled by throttle valves, which result in an energy loss. Chemical mixers are used to mix ClO2 into the pulp before proceeding into a holding tower where the bleaching process occurs.The energy demand of the different positions has been measured or calculated to be used in comparisons against new equipment. Quotations were requested and delivered from Valmet and Sulzer.

This thesis is a survey and also an investigation of the different factors that affects the cracking that occurs in the inserts at AB Sandvik Coromants production in Gimo. The work that has been done has focused on two main factors, namely, powder characteristics and pressing parameters.AB Sandvik Coromant produces tools and tooling systems for metal cutting. They have some problems in their production of inserts. The problem is that cracks sometimes occur in the body of the insert, after it´s pressed. In order to investigate this, a preliminary study was made in which production principles were studied.

AbstractThe ideas of adulthood, adolescence and childhood in Swedish law have a tendency to not be expressed or discussed. This thesis has focused on the preparatory work of the sexual offence-law to see whether it defines adulthood. This has been achieved by analyzing the documents related to this preparatory work. The thesis focused on two central questions: 1) Was the idea of adulthood an integral part of the discussions in the preparatory work 2) If so, then how was it defined and are there any contradictions in the definition. In addition, this work also evaluated the impact of this law and investigated whether the absolute protection intended by the government and the committee of sexual crime seek actually exists.The study shows that the concept of adulthood was not defined specifically in the preparatory work.

I ljuset av miljöhotet utvecklas nya investeringssektorer med fokus på att stilla den ökande efterfrågan på produkter och tjänster som minskar miljöpåverkan, en av de mest populära investeringssektorerna med fokus på miljön är Cleantech. Cleantech är en ny investeringskategori som kom till Sverige runt år 2005.Begreppet och investeringskategorin, Cleantech härstammar från USA och organisationen Cleantech Group LLC. Cleantech Group delar upp Cleantech i elva olika segment på följande sätt; (1) Energiproduktion, (2) Energiförvaring, (3) Energiinfrastruktur, (4) Energieffektivitet, (5) Transport, (6) Vatten & Avfallsvatten, (7) Luft & Miljö, (8) Material, (9) Tillverkning/Industriell, (10) Jordbruk, (11) Återvinning & Avfallshantering. För att Cleantech-bolag skall utvecklas så används ofta riskkapital från VC-bolag.

Företaget Eco-Log är ett förhållandevis litet företag som tillverkar skördare och skotare. För attkunna hålla konkurrensmässiga priser har de lagt ut svetsningen på underentreprenad och ägnarsig således endast åt konstruktion, montering och försäljning av sina maskiner. På senare tid harde upplevt att kvalitén hos ingående material hos svetsade detaljer har varierat på ettoroväckande sätt och ville således skärpa upp kvalitén till den högre nivån.Om man väljer att lägga ut svetsningen på entreprenad är det viktigt att man utför en del åtgärderför att säkerställa att man behåller den kvalitet svetsfogarna kräver. När man dessutom väljer attlägga ut tillverkning på låglöneländer är det än viktigare att tillverkningsunderlaget inte lämnarutrymme till fri tolkning som kan ge bristande kvalité som följd.Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta fram inköpsrutiner som säkerställer att man får den kvalitéman behöver, trots att tillverkningen sker externt.En provstruktur togs fram för att bedöma hur väl en underleverantör klarar att leverera ettacceptabelt resultat. Därtill vidareutvecklades en checklista med kontrollfrågor som antyder omsvetsverkstaden har den utrustning och ordning som krävs för att bedriva kvalitativ svetsning.Slutligen togs ett betygssystem fram som möjliggör att utvärdera olika underleverantörer iförhållande till varandra, baserat på Eco Logs tidigare erfarenhet av dessa leverantörer..

Den svenska planprocessens effektivitet är ett problematiskt och omdiskuterat ämne. Uppsatsen behandlar effektivisering av den fysiska planeringsprocessen med leanteoretiska begrepp som utgångspunkt. På senare tid har flera alternativa lösningar för effektivisering uppkommit. En av dessa lösningar är lean, en verksamhetsstrategi med ursprung från Toyotas produktionsfilosofi. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med målet att genom intervjuer, offentliga rapporter och litteratur granska den svenska planeringsprocessen och fenomenet lean inom fysisk planering.

The natterjack toad (Bufo calamita) is one of three species of toads living in Sweden. During the last decades declines in population numbers have been detected and are thought to be primarily due to loss of habitat, overgrown breeding ponds and competition from common toad (Bufo bufo) and common frog (Rana temporaria). In 2012 20 ponds in the location of Glommeskallen in Smögen were restored by clearing the ponds from overgrowth. The aim of this study was to investigate if natterjack toads used the restored ponds and if the restoration had made an impact on the natterjack population on the location. Presence of common toad and common frog was recorded, as was the presence of eggs and larvae of any of the three species.

I nuläget använder personalen inte sina truckskor på arbetstid eftersom de anses vara obekväma och öka deras besvär från kroppen. Det har visat sig i en rad olika studier att användandet av sulor i skorna kan reducera besvär ländrygg och nedre extremitet. Syfte: Syftet var att studera vilka effekter en individanpassad sula kan ge på arbetsrelaterade besvär i ländrygg, höft, knä eller fot, hos personal med stående arbete. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en Single-System Experimental Design (SSED) med ABA-design.

The connection between fluorescence and color management still is a relatively unexplored area. Thefollowing composition analyses the theory that when printing on fluorescent ink jet paper using ICCprofilesa more yellow print will appear. In theory the ICC-profile compensate for blue light that fluorescefrom the paper with the complementary color, yellow. The human eye apprehands this fluorescentlight as white.When categorizing a number of ink jet qualities some tests to indicate change of color in the final printwere made. Five qualities were chosen for further analyses, each with different white point.

This essay will analyse how Asperger?s syndrome and autism spectrum disorder is made in two municipal high schools. I have interviewed school personnel and analysed the schools? policy documents and diagnostic manuals. In this essay AS and ASD are being deconstructed as political and ideological object and I analyse techniques in school, that makes these objects to subjects.The school?s mission is to foster and educate pupils to become desirable citizens and at the same time its aim is to provide an equivalent school.
