Datorer i förskolan - barns nya kultur : barnvakt eller ett pedagogiskt hjälpmedel
In this essay I have chosen to explore how computers are used in preschools. The study was done as a survey. How does preschool seize the children´s culture? In today´s society ICT and computers are a big part of children´s everyday life and reflects on their upbringing.Since I am using computers as a pedagogical tool in teaching the children at my preschool, I find this topic interesting to explore.Are the teacher´s using computers for an educational purpose with the children at preschools or are they using it in other ways?Do the teachers think they have the required knowledge to computers usage in teaching the children in a pedagogical way?What is the teacher´s attitude towards computers in preschool?The essay starts with a introductorial background section where I talk about my own experiences of using computers with the children in my preschool, and then referring to the society then and now, school law, Curriculum, teachers' computer skills, media situation amongst children and young people, computer use in preschools/schools and health effects. I have composed a survey based on the answers of 50 teachers in 30 different preschools and in nine different municipalities.The result of the survey is reported and concludes with a part of discussion, where the results are put up against the introductorial background section.
Didaktiska implikationer i lärares samhällsuppdrag : Uppfattningar om demokrati och biologiskt ämnesstoff hos blivande lärare
In today?s school in Sweden the assignment of community encompasses mediated values and education of democracy as well of single subject matters. What does it mean then, that teachers have a certain kind of idea of democracy, and what implications may biology have for the assignment of community? In upper secondary school there are quite many courses in biology with a national Curriculum, and findings show that students of teaching perceive or think of biology as helping to promote the dual-purpose of teaching. In this study, the author of the paper has interviewed four future teachers of upper secondary school with biology as one of their main subjects.
Uppdraget möter verkligheten : En essä om korstrycket på pedagoger
This essay is about the meeting of the pedagogic mission and the reality of the conditions in preschools. It is about the frustrations that I, as a pedagogue, experience when I cannot fulfill this mission. An example of this is working when understaffed.My purpose is the acknowledgment of two main areas of the Curriculum: caring and learning. This essay demonstrates the diversity of the occupation and it ?s constant need of positioning.
Att undervisa om nyreligiositet : En studie om högstadielärares urval, metoder och definitionsproblem
Fyra stycken lärares beskrivningar om hur de undervisar och definierar nyreligiositet och nya religiösa rörelser har studerats i föreliggande uppsats. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vad verksamma religionskunskapslärare på högstadiet säger att de undervisar om i undervisningen kring nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser. En kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer har använts för att få fram data till studien. Teorier om didaktiskt innehåll och undervisning som meningserbjudande har använts vid analysen av resultatet. Uppsatsen utgår från tre stycken frågeställningar om hur definierar religionskunskapslärare begreppen nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser, om vad beskriver religionskunskapslärare att de undervisar kring nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser och hur beskriver lärare att de arbetar kring nyreligiositet och nyreligiösa rörelser i undervisningen? Resultatet i studien visar att lärarna har problem med att definiera begreppet nyreligiositet, vilket kan vara en orsak till att området får en marginell plats i religionskunskapsundervisningen.
Kristen tradition eller västerländsk humanism : En diskursanalys av skolans värdegrund
Den kristna traditionen och den västerländska humanismen är två motstridiga moralsystem. Den förra utgår från en världsbild då Gud är grunden för moralen medan den senare har människan som grund för moralen. Syftet med uppsatsen är att komma fram till om och i så fall hur denna konflikt gestaltas i skolans styrdokument i allmänhet och värdegrunden i synnerhet. Jag försöker också se hur konflikten i förlängningen påverkat en grupp elever i deras utveckling av etiska ställningstaganden. Undersökningen är baserad på en diskursanalys av styrdokumenten samt fokusgruppsintervjuer med en grupp elever i årskurs nio.
Kostundervisning på gymnasiet : En undersökning om hur lärare i idrott och hälsa 1 undervisar och bedömer momentet kost
Syftet med studien är att utifrån en kvalitativ metod, med semistrukturerade intervjuer av gymnasielärare, undersöka hur kostundervisning bedrivs i kursen idrott och hälsa 1. I kursplanens centrala innehåll kan det utläsas att eleverna skall få kunskap om kosthållningens betydelse för hälsa och prestation. Det är därför av intresse att se hur lärare transformerar styrdokumenten. Vidare undersöks även hur undervisningen bedöms och betygssätts. Resultatet analyseras sedan mot läroplansteori och Wiliams nyckelstrategi för att tydliggöra informanternas svar.
En homogen grupp är inte svaret på en lyckad klass : Pedagogers attityder till inkludering av särskolans elever i ordinare grundskola.
The aim of this study is to examine physical education teachers? and students? views on the thesis and its part in the physical teacher education program at The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences.Does the view on the thesis differ between techers/students and the program with its Curriculum and other policy documents?What does students/teachers value in a thesis?Does teachers/students have a mutual habitus concerning the thesis in the form of essay writing and how is this expressed?The study is based on a qualitative survey in which the respondents mainly answered open-ended questions with written answers. These answers have been categorized and analyzed with the aims of the study and the previous research in mind. The views on the purpose of the thesis differ, both within the group teachers/students and to a certain degree in relation to policy documents. The value of the thesis differs within the group.
Debatten kring en litterär kanon: En diskursanalys av artiklar på dagstidningarnas kultursidor
Literary debates about canon occur regularly. In the summer of 2006 such a debate took place in Sweden. The aim of this Master thesis is to examine the debate to identify the different discourses and what they reveal about ideas concerning the role of literature in society. The empirical material used for the analysis consists of 46 debate articles from three important newspapers. The combined theory and method applied is the discourse analysis described in Ernesto Laclau?s & Chantal Mouffe?s discourse theory.

A reform of higher education in Sweden in 1993 led to stiffer competitive climate among educational institutions. The reform meant that educational institutions now had the opportunity to plan their Curriculum autonomously. Prior to the reform educational planning was restricted to the Swedish government. The new rules spelled a greater opportunity for educational institutions to profile themselves based on their educational offerings. The higher degree of competition means that marketing becomes increasingly important when recruiting new students.
Datorn, en genväg eller ett hinder till dialog?
We are living in a society where the digital technology is a tool that integrates into our life and changes our daily life and the way we communicate. The easy access to information and the opportunity to communication change the schools organization and demands new ways of teaching with and in contact with the surrounding world. That is why it is interesting to know how teachers can create an education environment with support of digital tools that fulfills a meaning for themselves, the pupils and the goals of the Curriculum. This study is about how six teachers in one elementary school creates an education environment with support of digital tools and how they think the affect the pupils cooperation, communication and participation.The theoretical frame for this study is built in a sociocultural perspective, where people learn and develop through participation in social practices. To get the understanding of how teachers are thinking about the challenges and possibilities that digital tools have in the education environment, I choose a qualitative research method.

AimThe purpose of this study has been to examine attitudes towards dance in a broad sense, among Swedish schoolchildren. The study has been done with three different questions in mind: What do pupils think and express about dance? Are there any differences in attitude towards dance between girls and boys? And how do the pupils relate to gender conceptions in connection to dance illustrations?MethodEight pupils 12 ? 14 years of age have been interviewed separately during physical education lessons. During parts of the interviews dance illustrations were used in order to encourage the pupils in their discussions, especially when asked to relate to dance and gender conceptions. The statements have been interpreted from a gender theoretical perspective.ResultsMy interview study shows that male pupils to a larger extent than female pupils inhabit hostile feelings towards dance as part of physical education lessons.

Mål att sträva mot : - En kvalitativ litteraturstudie av fyra läromedel i svenska för årskurs åtta
AbstraktDetta examensarbete handlar om språkval engelska/svenska, alternativet för de elever som av olika anledningar väljer att inte läsa ett modernt språk. En undersökning har gjorts i form av intervjuer med lärare och en skolledare samt en enkätstudie med elever, för att få fram en bild av hur de ser på språkvalet och dess funktion. Syftet med arbetet är att söka svar på just detta, samt ta reda på vilka elever det är som går i dessa grupper och hur tiden utnyttjas där. De svar jag fått fram tyder på att både elever och lärare ser brister i organisationen; det är en relativt stökig miljö och många elever som finns i grupperna har egentligen inget behov av extra engelska eller svenska. Alla är dock i princip överens om vilket syfte undervisningen har: att stötta de elever som behöver hjälp med dessa två ämnen.
Den osynliggjorda kvinnan : En analys av läromedel i religionskunskap för gymnasiet
This thesis has the purpose that through a text analysis examine how four schoolbooks for high school treats the religions Judaism and Hinduism. The schoolbooks are from the years 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2009. The perspectives are from a religious viewing point, that means that the women are religious, Jewish feminists and Hindu feminists. The theories used are written by these women and are academic litterature. The questions are how are women represented in the schoolbooks, is the feminist critique present or are the two religions represented and described in an invariable way, and is the description of Judaism and Hinduism consistent with the Curriculum?The text analysis used in this examination means that reality is organized through and by the language used by the actors in that reality.
Vilka är egentligen i behov av särskilt stöd? : En undersökning om lärares åsikter om arbetet med åtgärdsprogram i ämnet Idrott och hälsa
The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers see the use of action plans for students in need of special support in physical education. The questions used were: What do the teachers consider being the causes for students not reaching the objectives in physical education? What experiences do four teachers have considering the work with action plans for students in need of special support? And, what experiences have one chosen head of school about establishing action plans for students in need of special support?To reach the answers to these questions qualitative interviews were made with four teachers from different schools. The interviews deal with the teachers views on assessment, Curriculum, and the work with action plans for students in need of special support.The results show that that the underlying causes for students not reaching their objectives was either lack of participation or difficulties in certain parts of the subject. Despite this, the teachers write very few action plans even though it appears there are students in need of special support.
