The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to examine and understand how teachers of younger children teach information literacy and also what part the school library and the school librarian take in this process.I have, in the study, used parts of Limberg & Folkesson´s IDOL project as my theoretical framework and the material was collected through qualitative interviews with four teachers. My result of this study indicates that many teachers have a vague idea of what information literacy is. My study also indicates that teachers only teach information literacy occasionally. This despite the new curriculum (Lgr11) which clearly indicates that information literacy is a priority. Some of the teachers express an opinion that the students, for example; in their source critical ability, develop this skill with age.

This study deals with pedagogical documentation. With a revised preschool curriculum,where this is a crucial aid for illustrating the learning process of children and educators, aswell as demonstrating the activities of the school, it is of the utmost relevance to further explorethis notion. The study focuses on a single municipality and explores the various ways inwhich its preschools do in reality deal with this issue in correlation with the actual visions andgoals set by that municipality. Through a series of qualitative interviews with educators aswell as with the municipality Head of Education, this study outlines how educational documentationis in fact applied in the schools in question. The gathered data has been interpretedwith a power perspective as well as with a sociocultural perspective in mind.

Problemformulering, syfte och undersökningsfrågorDet är många som vill komma till tals när det gäller hur undervisning av elever i behov av stöd inom området att läsa och skriva bäst skall ges. Lärare är emellertid den yrkesgrupp som har till uppgift att identifiera läs- och skrivsvårigheter, och därtill se till att barn får den hjälp och det stöd som behövs. Vi såg att denna yrkesgrupps tankar och erfarenheter behövde lyftas fram och analyseras.Syftet med undersökningen var att utreda hur lärare såg på undervisningen av elever i behov av stöd inom områ-det att läsa och skriva. För att undersöka detta formulerades följande undersökningsfrågor:1 Hur identifieras problem inom området att läsa och skriva?2 Hur ser nuvarande stöd ut?3 Vilket stöd önskar lärarna för att ge eleverna bästa möjliga stöd?TeoriForskningen genomfördes inom den specialpedagogiska disciplinen.

Through a discourse theoretical apparatus, this study examines Sweden's national curriculum, which is constructed for primary schools, pre-school class and leisure time classes. The study also examines the syllabus in physical education and the supplied comment material to the syllabus, the above mentioned material all valid from 1 July 2011. Using cultural researcher Marianne Winther Jørgensen's and communication researcher Louise Phillips interpretation of the political theorists Ernest Laclau and Chantal Mouffe's discourse theory, the study identifies several discourses in the new curriculums. The analysis shows that the curriculums writers construct their expectations through a rhetoric that is perceived as instructional and descriptive. The analysis identified eight discourses, woven into three "orders of discourse", the body, health and physical education.

This essay is about local history in history teaching in two cities; Kalmar and Vetlanda. The purpose was to see how teachers in Kalmar and Vetlanda define local history and what kind of local history they teach their students. I have also examined what benefits of didactics the teachers see in teaching local history. In order to find out I interviewed four history teachers at three schools in Kalmar and two history teachers at one school in Vetlanda. Some of the interviews were carried out over the telephone and the rest at the teachers´s schools.

I och med den nya läroplanen för det obligatoriska skolväsendet, Lpo 94, breddades idrottsämnet och ämnet bytte namn från idrott till idrott och hälsa. Då hälsa är ett komplext och svårdefinierat begrepp var syftet med studien att undersöka tolkningsutrymmet vad gäller hälsa i kursplanen för idrott och hälsa. Studien inkluderade två olika undersökningar varav den ena avsåg en textanalys av samtliga läroplaner för grundskolan med inkluderande kursplaner för idrottsämnet. Detta för att belysa hur hälsosynen och tolkningsutrymmet har utvecklats över tid. Textanalysen kompletterades sedan med intervjuer av fyra behöriga idrottslärare för grundskolan i en kommun för att få inblick i hur yrkesverksamma tolkar hälsa utifrån kursplanen.

Den sociala och fysiska miljö som omger måltiden är av stor betydelse för den äldre patienten. Syftet med studien var att beskriva äldre patienters måltidsmiljö och dess effekter ur ett omvårdnadsperspektiv. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie. Litteratursökningen har skett i databaserna CINAHL och Medline. Efter urval och granskning återstod 12 artiklar som var publicerade mellan åren 1994-2005, åtta kvalitativa och fyra kvantitativa artiklar.

På 1980-talet var det låneboom i Sverige. Det var lätt att låna pengar utan säkerhet. När sedan fastighetsvärdet sjönk och arbetslösheten ökade drabbades många av ekonomiska svårigheter. Det var under denna tid som behovet av en skuldsaneringslag kom, skuldsaneringslagen trädde i kraft år 1994.Vid en skuldsanering skall den skuldsatte leva på existensminimum i fem år. Överskottet fördelas mellan borgenärerna.

Studien har diskuterat och analyserat de två senaste svenska läroplanerna. Med hjälp av kritiskdiskursanalys har den nya läroplanen Lgr11 (Skolverket, 2011) och den föregående läroplanenLpo94 (Skolverket, 1994) närlästs på ett ifrågasättande och granskande sätt. Syftet har varit att seom, och i så fall i hur stor omfattning, ord såsom lärare och fritidspedagog förekommer.Förekomsten eller frånvaron av dessa ord har sedan getts olika möjliga tolkningsförslag för att sevad det skulle kunna innebära eller betyda när dessa ord förekommer, och framförallt när de inteförekommer. Resultaten har visat att ordet fritidspedagog inte nämns över huvud taget, och attord såsom fritidshem inte alls förekommer i samma utsträckning som exempelvis ordet lärareeller skola. Vidare har detta sedan diskuterats utifrån vad det kan betyda för de olikaprofessionernas status inom skolan om deras respektive yrken förekommer eller inte i denläroplan som är menad att gälla för dem.

När Boverket 1994 gav ut nya funktionsbaserade byggregler öppnade det dörren till byggandet av flervåningshus med stomme av trä, något som varit förbjudet i byggreglerna i mer än hundra år. Det finns en del potentiella svårigheter med att bygga i trä jämfört med obrännbara material, men det är genomförbart. Kravet är att visa att funktionskraven i byggreglerna är uppfyllda. I samband med att byggreglerna uppdaterades 1994 tillkom även ett krav på att det vid uppförande av byggnader skall upprättas en randskyddsdokumentation. Av denna ska framgå förutsättningarna för utförandet av brandskyddet samt brandskyddets utformning.

The aim of this study is to examine the interaction between a group of multilingual, twelve-year-old children, and three libraries. The children live in a suburb of a larger city. The three libraries are their school-library, the library in their suburb and the main library in the city. We have examined if and how the children use the libraries, what the libraries mean to them in their daily life and what their possibilities are when it comes to participate in and influence activities and collections at the libraries. We have pursued qualitative interviews with sixteen children in grade six and three librarians, working with multilingual children at the three libraries.

The purpose of this essay is to discover what Formative Assessment is used for in practice and also how teachers use the Curriculum for elementary school, preschool and after-school activity 2011 (Lgr 11) in their Formative Assessment work.The questions are as follows:What considerations do teachers take into account when assessing a student?How do teachers view assessment for learning?How do the teachers consider formative assessment works in relation to Lgr 11?I have used a qualitative research method to answer my questions. I have interviewed five teachers regarding their view on and experience with assessment. Using a hermeneutic approach I have tried to retrieve a deeper meaning from my interviewees regarding formative assessment. I have approached formative assessment using the socio-cultural perspective because I believe it to be the best fit.All of the informants believe formative assessment has made it easier to assess students and also that it works very well together with Lgr 11.

The aim of the study was to improve understanding of how upper secondary school acknowledge and adjust support and guidance for gifted students regarding their future academic and professional career. The study examined school pricipals and career counselors approach to guidance work with gifted students and how the above mentioned professionals received information about gifted students. It was further examined what measures were applied to adjust the upper secondary school to the needs of gifted students. Qualitative interviews were conducted and the results showed that in cases where the informants were told it took place in conjunctions with seminars about the class, through grades or through a teacher or the students themselves who contacted the career counselor or principal at the upper secondary school.The giftedness was connected to the school curriculum and various course topics in the secondary programs. School principals viewed the career counselor as an important resource to provide motivational support, individualize and survey future plans.
