In this study I examine the representation of masculinity in the manga, Naruto. The manga is about the orphan Naruto, who, together with other children goes to a ninja school. Boys and girls study and practice together, at first sight seemingly without emphasized gender differences. As the story continues, the gender differences are, however, quite obvious and to the boys advantage.I find the difference between Naruto and other popular culture ususally presented to pre-bubertal and teenage boys to be considerable. Whereas the domination of women and the message that you can get as far as you wish, are common in American and west produced popular culture as well as in Naruto, the difference lies in how the success is achieved. The men in Naruto reach their goals by allowing their feelings to be seen and expressed.

The purpose of this study is to propose and formulate quantitative indicators to help measure an aspect of the Environmental Objectives in Swedish legislation: ?A Good Built Environment, Interim Target 2.? The governmental bill 2004/05:150 suggests changes to Interim Target 2: By 2010 built environments of cultural heritage value will be identified and placed under long-term sustainable management. Following the revised formulation regarding sustainable management, indicators should be formulated to measure the fulfilment of sustainable management of built environments of cultural heritage value. An important part of management takes place at the municipal level of planning, where detailed development plans include regulations to protect built environments of substantial cultural heritage value. As a result, this study is focusing upon the regulatory function of the Swedish Planning and Building Act in respect to the built environments of cultural heritage value.

The aim of this paper is exploring questions regarding the problem of absenteeism among high-school students in Sweden. Fifteen students attending an urban high-school have been interviewed about their views and experiences of absenteeism. The author analyzes the students? answers by taking into account two different sociological approaches which give two different explanations about the way young people experience and estimate education. The French sociologist Bourdieu theorized that differences in cultural capital influence the permanent internalization of patterns of thought and behavior.

My thesis is based on a qualitative study. The purpose of the study is to investigate whether the educationalist at an especially chosen school in Stockholm promotes the students multicultural background in the education or not.This is due to the fact that the Swedish school to a considerable degree reflects the multicultural Swedish society. The socio-cultural starting point is when people come together and meet. The language is the tool of the socio-culture and it is the dialogue, discussion and sympathetic understanding that makes people meet.The cultural concept is diffuse and very wide. Everyone has their own definition of it.

Varje år uppkommer nya fall där Skatteverket (SKV) tvistar med enskilda näringsidkare, bolag och arbetstagare (AT) om beskattning av studie- och konferensresor. Tvisterna uppkommer till följd av parternas olika uppfattningar angående vad som är avdragsgilla kostnader alternativt vad som ska förmånsbeskattas.Studie- och konferensresor kan, under vissa omständigheter, i sin helhet utgöra en avdragsgill kostnad för enskilda näringsidkare och bolag enligt 16 kap. inkomstskattelagen (1999:1229) (IL). Dessa omständigheter är dock begränsade och det är dessa begränsningar som utgör en betydande faktor som SKV tar hänsyn till vid en revision. I de fall SKV anser att begränsningarna är överskridna kommer resorna anses utgöra semester för de anställda och detta ger upphov till löneförmånsbeskattning hos dem.

The study's starting point is the cultural, economic, social and health which is relevant when different levels of society affirms. The aim has been the basis of the representation levels of society discern what is valued and given priority as well as the measures and the strategies used in implementation. The empirical data underlying the study is qualitative studies with respondents from a university, a hospital, a school, the Swedish Embassy and an organization in order to create an image of different levels in society means to implement preventive measures on HIV and AIDS to their citizens. The result demonstrates that there are clear shortcomings in its implementation guidance on prevention measures for HIV and AIDS as lack of resources is based.

Att hitta ett komplement till stora XML-filer kan vara svårt, men kan också vara nödvändigt. På IdaInfront använder man sig idag utav XML-filer för att sätta upp konfigurationerna på hur man ska bygga upp ett projekt i deras program iipax. Dessa blir ofta väldigt stora och oöverskådliga samt att det inte finns någon smidig grafisk representation på hur de olika typerna hör ihop för att få en enkel överblick, det är här mitt examensarbete kommer in.Jag har skapat en prototyp på hur man med ett domän specifikt språk (DSL) kan ersätta XML syntaxen och på så sätt få det mera läsbart och samtidigt göra en grafisk representation på hur de olika noderna är kopplade till varandra.Jag använde mig av ett verktyg som heter XText för att ta fram mitt DSL då det gav en bra grund samt att man får olika hjälpverktyg så som auto-complete förslag, färgkodning, validering mm.För att få fram en grafisk editor använde jag mig av ett verktyg som heter Eugenia som är en del av Epsilon som utveklar verktyg för olika typer av hantering av EMF modeller i Eclipse. Det gav en smidig koppling mellan den DSL jag utformade i XText med en grafisk editor som Eugenia automatiskt genererade på omkring 600 filer utifrån två filer med inställningar som jag modifierade.Jag fick fram ett bra resultat för en prototyp i mindre skala. Dock använder sig IdaInfront av så många noder per projekt så det blir ganska snabbt svårt att se helheten i den grafiska editorn.

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze why or why not Swedish municipalities implement the gender equality policy ? ?right to work fulltime?. In order to understand this institutional change, the analysis is based on a theoretical framework consisting of two fields: political representation and feminist institutionalism. The study is divided into two empirical inquiries. The first part is based on a quantitative survey that describes the casual relationship between two independent variables; women´s political representation and party ideology, and the dependent variable; political decision about ?right to work fulltime?.

Vi vill även belysa samt studera sambandet mellan kvinnlig representation i styrelserna och branschernas kunder samt anställda.  METOD: För att kunna uppfylla studiens syfte har vi utgått ifrån en abduktiv ansats. Vi har genomfört statistiska tester samt kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra respondenter från näringslivet. Materialet användes sedan för att förklaras med hjälp av teorier för att slutligen kunna svara på studiens forskningsfrågor och för att studiens syfte skulle kunna uppfyllas. SLUTSATS: Kvinnlig representation har ökat mellan åren 2002 och 2014, vi kan alltså se en positiv trend som visar att kvinnor har ökat i detaljhandel- och finansbranschens styrelser.

The most common form of female cancer in Sweden is breast cancer and the primary choice of treatment is surgery. Removing a woman's breasts is not just removing a body part but is also strongly linked to the emotional life. This has psychosocial consequences and the reactions will be different depending on how people perceive health and illness. Factors that matter are both personal experiences and cultural factors such as religion, family, and the own standards and values. It is important that a nurse is aware of cultural factors that may influence the perception of care.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate and to analyse didactic considerations and decisions made by pre-school teachers in the context of a multi-cultural pedagogical environment.The basic theoretical perspective is social constructivism, but notions from Donald A. Schön and John Dewey's theories of thinking and reflection have also informed the study; even Hans Lorentz' definition of a multi-cultural pedagogical environment has been employed as an analytic tool.The empirical study consists of a qualitative field study at a pre-school, where participatory observation and a group interview have been used in order to collect data. Those who participated were teachers at the pre-school.The results of the study, when analysed in accordance with the method, shows mainly three things. First of all that the teachers at the pre-school, in their didactic considerations, make use of the following methods of knowledge formation: knowledge-in-practice, reflection-in-practice, reflection on practice, reflection on knowledge-in-practice, and reflection on reflection-in-practice. Secondly, that no reflection particularly on the learning conditions in a multi-cultural pedagogical environment takes place.

This thesis is performed as a case study, and has had the aim to study who has the power over cultural heritage, by studying the digitization selection criteria at KB and what influences there can be on the digitization selection process. The theory of the arm?s length principle, (Mangset, Kunst og makt, 2013) the professional model, (Rothstein, 2010), that digitization re-shape and re-contextualize cultural heritage material, (Dahlström et al. 2013), and different concepts will influence the digitization selection process has been used in this study. A qualitative research with document study and informant interview and e-mail interview has been conducted.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine the portrayals of class in four Swedish contemporary novels that have been mentioned as working class literature in the literary public sphere. During the 20th century, society has undergone vast changes due to globalization and technology development. The rise in standards of living for most people in the Western societies has led to changed consumption patterns. In consequence, there has been increased emphasis given to cultural rather than materialist explanations of social stratification.

This is a study on how a group of ten pupils choose their upper secondary schools (gymnasium). All pupils are ninth graders in a middle school in Husby which is a suburb of Stockholm. Like the big majority of Husby citizens, they all have immigrant backgrounds and their time in Sweden varies; some are born here while others are born abroad and migrated later with their parents. My aim was to understand their upper secondary school choices through own and their parents? "cultural capital".

Arbetets syfte var att ta reda på hur spelare tenderar att reagera på onaturlig, eller ologisk spelarkitektur och hinder och om detta kan bryta en spelares immersion. För att ge en bakgrund till undersökningen tas begrepp så som immersion, level design, tematik och spelartyper upp.Undersökningen har genomförts i samarbete med Paradox South där två stycken nivåer till spelet The Showdown Effect skapades. För båda dessa nivåer skapades en version utan visuell representation och en med visuell representation.För undersökningen användes en kvalitativ metod med observation och enkät. Resultatet visade att spelare tenderar att inte reagera på onaturlig spelarkitektur. Detta beror på att deras tidigare erfarenhet av spel gjorde att de inte förväntade sig att nivåerna skulle presentera en verklighetstrogen och logisk spelvärld.Exempel på framtida arbete vore att undersöka om spelare reagerar annorlunda på onaturlig spelarkitektur när en 3D-spelvärld används istället för en 2,5D-värld..
